'Testing the Waters' Arc has been released
I worked really hard this update as it is THE chapter that best represents the core exploration theme of the game as the arc shows the turning point in the story for Ayumi and officially makes the escalation at a similar level, if not above, the OG, depending on your choices.
The fact the game is still on Day 3 is a good thing - as some users here already noted. It just opens more opportunities for Day 4 from the start of the day.
It was fairly difficult to handle the interweaving of content (branches that split then merge back multiple times) and I can't wait to have the routes feel more independent as that will simplify the writing and development.
It's quite possible most people won't see all content in the update. That's to be expected as you can't have a game about exploration without meaningful choices.
Appreciate anyone that is enjoying the game. I'm always keen to hear about those that play/played the OG and are now playing the remake.
Even the bulky writing from earlier releases has been toned down and cleaned a bit more.
Good catch. I will fix that for v2 but a slightly earlier save should make that go away - before MC turn in the Marco Polo game. That happens because last version introduces a new way to calculate TQ/SP points and it broke a couple of saves.
