Hey everyone,

Despite working nearly non-stop since my last announcement, I need to push back the release again. The update is coming together well, but needs more time to be properly completed and no point in it being half-baked.

As I transition to having updates with mostly new content rather than remake material, my time estimates have been too optimistic. While some scenes from OG will still appear from time to time - and I do have some CGs prepared that I haven't used - the story is now beginning to deviate more significantly. It is exciting but requires additional development time.

I knew I would face challenges with the bi-weekly schedule sooner or later so I'll post a detailed update tomorrow and share my plans for a better development schedule.

I completely understand if these delays are disappointing. If you feel you aren't getting value from your support, you're welcome to request a refund - no questions asked and no hard feelings. I want everyone who supports BTW to feel good about their contribution.

I wish I could do more but as a solo developer balancing BTW with full-time work, maintaining this pace has become increasingly challenging despite my best intentions.

Thank you for your understanding. More details coming tomorrow after I've had some sleep.

He says you can ask for a refund, and then tries to play for sympathy and consideration, even though he's been dragging this out for a long time already. And he plans to release the same small bi-weekly updates over the next three months, for sure. As long as he can keep milking it, he will.

Starting from January 16th when V0.5.27 resumed updates, it has been approximately 100 days until today, with 5 content updates provided. At least every 20 days, it is difficult to convince people of the so-called biweekly update plan. And the currently REMAKE game content should not be half of the original version. The reality goes against the previous statement that using new AI tools can make development time shorter and more efficient. It's really hard to understand why this game that were once very popular have become like this, and even some game supporters have gone from liking this game to mocking Tori.

Does that mean your product still in stage of remake after remake and remake? i'm waiting for 2077 then. :KEK:

The game has never been more popular.

Don't let the vocal minority around here mislead you. Most people simply don't care about drama.

In terms of development speed. It is faster. You need to consider the remake has way more content, CGs and animations when compared to the OG. Velocity is just one factor on the remake anyway and not the most important one.







In other news, I just released 0.5.32v2 to the public.

I am super happy about being able to add animations again and opening up the game to more platforms.

I have also reduced the fluff on the script on this v2. I cut down the script by a good 10% chunk - if not more - to reduce that 'wall of text' feeling. Don't expect that will be enough for everyone but it def reads better when I did a replay today, so I'm happy for now.

I appreciate everyone that takes the time to write genuinely good feedback. It has been helpful.

That's just one change among many other small ones. I wasn't able to clear up the backlog completely but once in a while these types of updates are important to maintain the quality of the game.

For all the insults they sling at you, they stick around because it's extremely hard and rare to find a NTS game of your quality.

You are the best developer. You've been doing the same thing for months and adding subscribers on patreon is really amazing. I won't argue with that. :KEK:

Seriously. This and Netorase Phone are the games I go back to just because the story and art are just leagues above everyone else.

I have a question. This update was the update of previous release ? The delay which tori mention i.e story progression is another update which was supposed to be released. Am i right?
