See he could change his mind on this, but I believe he said he didn't want to add to the game endlessly. As in he wanted to make it "the trip" and done, perhaps returning to the couple or other characters for side stories or alternate routes if he thought it good later on.
Main point is I'm pretty sure he doesn't want it to be an Indecent Wife Hana in which it goes from something that should be "this sorta time frame" to "infinitely long sandbox game" (Hana isn't sandbox, but that game was meant to be finished 1-2 years ago, hard max).
The main hope would be that the game has a snowball effect, that once Ayumi and Terrace have done SOMETHING, it's repeatedly flowing from there. If he keeps up the current time spacing between progression of sexual content when there has been new progress, that'll be milking.
Even the most successful netorase games do one of two things: sex-sex-sex - break for plot reasons (perhaps husband gets insecure, yada yada) OR, and this is more common, long build up - sex-sex-sex.
Current formula is: ton of text - minimal bull progress - ton of text - minimal bull progress. If we get her to stroke his dick or blow him, and then it remains "ToT - MBP", that'll just be beyond boring. Even in real life, cuckold dynamics snowballing is the norm.
We can just hope that Tori genuinely means well and that he has good progress planned.
My main worry has been and will continue to be all these needless side characters... I, along with 99% of people, do not give a fuck if the MC is fucking other women; we have Ari for that if the dev wants an option. Instead, I see these designs and they're clearly made provocative in order to sell their sex scenes. Even if Terrace is the one dicking them down, I won't care much.
It's just strange to me that atelier sakura and other huge NTS releasers have games featuring "MC, Wife, bull 1, bull 2, bull 3 (max)." Those bulls usually have their own specific routes, so it's technically only 3 characters at a time.
Yet this game now has 6 characters, 8 once we reach the party (white haired guy and the party girl from the maze).
I will be very blunt in saying, I don't even care for Ari most of the time - I don't want a ton of lesbian scenes in a netorase game, there's a reason Japanese devs barely do it: It's a very small niche. I'm fine with some kissing, a couple threesomes with Terrace, but 1 on 1 constant lesbian action? Meh
Wait, how much do you all earn in america? How is nearly 3300 dollars of earnings per month for the game about half of a full time job, I was lied to about america's salary.

In my state minimum wage is $32000 a year. So if you have an actually carreer in my state, you would be making alot more.

Yeah every state has their own minimum wage but they cannot set it lower then the Federal minimum wage. My state is pretty high for minimum wage. Now $3300 a month is a very nice side hustle tho lol

I'm not positive but I do also think Tori lives in Hawaii, which is one of the highest cost of living states in the US.

I agree that there may be an excess amount of characters and I also don't really care for Ari either but Tori made the post introducing Vivienne pretty promising and I can see some use and potential for her as a character although if he kept it minimal and just straight to the point we would be getting quicker updates but I trust his vision and I am in no rush to see the end of this game

With all due respect, adding 12 months is hilarious... If we remove the first 12 months entirely, we would get the original game gone entirely, at which point no single person would be complaining about the old speed vs the new speed. But you've went even further back and thrown on an additional 12 months of "scamming" claim.
Being blunt, the first 7 months are 100% not scummy/scammy in any way. The original game was moving at a very good pace; I didn't see a SINGLE person saying "slow down" or "we're going too fast". The remake has had this issue, but in the opposite way: "too slow-burning now". I even share the sentiment that these new versions are just too slow, but I also just decided to withdraw funding until a version drops that includes new-world content (until we're back at the end of the party).
If we just said he's scamming and that it was indisputable, the scam period can only be 14-18 months, not 3 years
(Edit - even then, he is delivering updates, just at a very slow speed. It went from decent-ish progress speed every 2 weeks or so to now 3+ months per update cycle for some animations that he originally had said somewhere that he didn't feel were worth delaying the game for. The animations are great, but if we assume they're the reason we're getting 3+ months between updates that feel smaller than ever, then it's not a scam, just a weird investment)
Things I care about:
Last update: 200+ CGs, 40k+ words, multiple routes. Positive feedback. Support still double vs OG.
I get Day 3 timeline frustration - hoped for Party Arc by now too. But the work is there. Escalation already beyond OG too.
Some care more about in-game days than content depth. Check back when it's further along, it will get there.
To those dropping 1-stars while continuing to hate-reading this thread: You are not my audience, you are complaining a steakhouse doesn't serve tofu.
