Unity - BMO TV [v0.7.2f1] [Rel]

So I tried the free version of this game because I thought it was something that focused on gameplay, customization, and maybe story.
But now I don't understand what this game is about at all, so I'm going to review the parts I do understand.

Pros:

• I found nothing good about this game except the premise.
• I didn't know that, but this game uses DRM and it's basically MALWARE. But it looks like the free version doesn't have it, which is good.

Cons:

• Art in general is bad and there is a lack of it. It's not a focus of this game, but it's still a con.
• I thought this game was about customization, but it turned out to be about creating body horror creature.
• Lack of the story. Plot focus is lost, most paths are bad.
• Unoptimized piece of shit.
• UI is bad, confusing, buggy.
• The main focus of this game is unclear, and it's also unclear what this game wants from the player.

I can describe this game with one word: abomination.

This is the most unoptimized piece of dogsh*t I've ever had the displeasure to waste my time on. I can't believe the "developer" is earning nearly €11,000 on just their Patreon.

I had freezing issues and overheating all throughout my 3 minutes of gameplay right before my laptop crashed and for what? A glorified point-and-click Powerpoint presentation with some animations here and there.

Don't get me wrong. My laptop is pretty old. However! It can easily run games like AC: Black Flag, Mass Effect 3, Saints Row 4 and even newer titles like Endless Space 2 and Civ6.

There is absolutely no excuse why a game so basic that it can be made in Twine is so horrible to play. Embarrassing.

This is bad game design 101, which is sad because this is my JAM.

QTEs are fine, but hard bound to arrow keys in a mouse driven game is just horrid, yes, lets change controls in a porn game constantly, PICK ONE.

Its ok, start the game, forced tutorial, with a forced failure? Maybe I janked the settings in the wrong way to make the crap QTEs and forced posture change less shit, but I have no idea WTF that is. Instant failure, or have I completely misread this game? I get it you are trying to teach me how to play the game, but just tell me it fucking failed, forced failure just makes me question if I merely am incompetent. I will say, the fact that I have no idea if that was failure by design or if I was supposed to have ANY chance of success just kills me, is that the tone for the WHOLE GAME, or was that a tutorial. Fuck if I know, but after restarting to see if it is possible once drains any interest I have, I don't care, I'm sober and over it.

And this is where I quit and uninstall. This hurts because I think this back of the box description is WHAT I WANT, but the design is so painful instead of horny I am pissed off and confused. Perhaps this gets better? The new player experience is confusion and pain, I don't think anyone should have to suffer through this to find a rainbow at the end.

An alright concept that, as time went on, well and clearly lost the plot. It sets itself apart from other games in the genre, given that it's spent so long on transformation paths that turn you into a creature of dark fantasy. At this point, body horror and similar tags need to be added.
The game has good art and a decent beginning; you'd probably enjoy the first few hours or even some complete paths. But, depending on what you came here for, you will quickly realize there's very little of what you want. For instance, Mexican Conversion Therapy may not be one of your fetishes, but by God, it is in the game and in the worst way.
Unfortunately, I have not learned the context of why these decisions were made, so I can't say where things went wrong. You should take a close look at what the game offers (half of the paths present make me squirm) and consider whether you should support a dev that puts so much effort into a DRM system.
Also, I've played other games like this; the handmade art and polish are nice. The only path I liked was the blackmail one, where the MC is tricked into putting on a remote control vibrating clit piercing / or chastity cage (depending on sex) by one of the other contestants.

BMO TV is fine as is, but it definitely needs a lot more quality of life features. Let's say you want to choose the end of week transformation, you have to spin the wheel of consequences twice causing earlier games to be harder if you want to revert the changes. Some more interactions between the NPCs transforming each other would be fun as well. But the story is something that needs heavy work because at first it seems fine. You are a part of a game show that transforms constants 'fun' but looking at the snapshots of upcoming updates it just seems that the creator got lost in the sauce. Now, with the main gameplay loop of transforming and getting transformed, some transformations either go too far or not far enough.
On to the porn part of this game. It's serviceable, while the images themselves are good there is not much to do sexually other than like halfway through when a guy shows up and if you go to the glory-hole. The current version of BMO TV is leagues above the first one when it comes to the art, but it still leaves a lot to want.

Surprisingly great game.
In the first versions the graphics were very scary, but now the models and art are top class. Many possible endings, different fetishes, non-linear gameplay. It is clear that the authors put their soul into their project.

This game is awful, I liked the concept but everything else is just bad.

First it is really buggy, textures don´t load so everything is white, the MC model changed colors for moments stuff like that which is really annoying.

The gameplay is very unfinished, navigating is awful.

The UI is too unclean and confusing.

And the art doesn´t look good, the characters have too little sprites.

It's good. It's one of the games you should play at least once. While it's not completely original, it's still miles ahead of other NSFW games. Deserves at least 4 stars. Gets 5 from me because I played it for more than 20 hours. Also because it contains two of my personal favorites degradation and bimbofication.

I'm torn. This game is actually really well made. It has a very creative premise (that I genuinely love) and great design. There's a lot of interesting mechanics too, especially in regards to competing against the other characters in a show. The idea of other contestants being autonomous and trying to plot against you is great and adds a lot to the setting.

Despite being complete stereotypes, the characters actually work in this specific situation because of the game revolving around this reality TV show. There's a lot of good stuff here, but I can't give this anymore than 2 stars. Firstly, this is first and foremost a fetish game. If you aren't obsessed with bimbofication then you probably won't be able to jack off playing it.

I'm all for slow build ups, but this game really doesn't reward you for it. It's as if getting a "new latex suit" is meant to be a good replacement for an actual sex scene. If you play the female protagonist route then you will almost never be rewarded. As the game progresses, your character will overtime become more of a "bimbo" but for most people it's far past the point of off putting, and more into the realm of abhorrent. This wouldn't be as big of a problem if we were given some sex scenes or encounters here and there, but there's just nothing to be found. Without the walkthrough it's also very difficult to know if you're moving in the right direction and not missing anything.

The only reason I'm writing this review is because I was seriously disappointed by how intriguing this game was, but how disappointed it left me. But like I said before, there's a lot of good things about the way this game was made. It just failed in doing the one thing a porn-game is meant to do in my opinion. If you don't really care about sex and love bimbo's then this game is probably A++++ for you

A game where a walkthrough is almost necessary because of unexpected consequences and hidden requirements that only specific audiences know about. I'm not in that category, so after some time with clueless investigations I gave up. Its corruption system is good though.

If your looking for something hard to play, and figure out as well as being dominatged then this Great Game is for you.

Sadly this game is not for everyone though. The focus is not have sex with all the girls/ be dominated sexually by the girls. The games focus' is the story, and transformations your character will go though, as well as solving the puzzles of game play to reach new endings and story. I've spent many hours playing and seeking out endings/transformation options and quite enjoy it.

The Art of the game isn't the best, but that being said it fits well for the game of transformations every night, and having to have all the outfits fit with ur ever changing body ect.

The story is decent and has it's funny moments.

I'm not sure exactly why but I love this game. I think it's been great since it came out and the dev works really hard on it. Anyways, I think it's best to not expect to win the game, it's a lot of fun losing.

I lost 2 hours of my life trying to play this shit game that "rewarded" me with measly 3 sexy images at most, its buggy, clunky and it has no interest in teaching you how to do anything important in it.

*Also, this game fells like its a scam, they get almost 13000€ a month for this and it looks like the same shit it was 2019, this game really is shit for the amount of money and time spent on it.

Not a big fan of the art-style, but the actual game content is fantastic, I'm a big fan of emergent gameplay in porn games and this has that in spades.

Well done developers, you absolutely nailed it.

I want to start this off saying I don't usually post reviews, since honestly, this is a site with a wild variety of tastes. So usually the review is based on the content of the game. However I'd like to shine on some bad; but also good aspects of this game and it's progression.

This game caught my eye early on, it's a game inspired by 2 games I had played, Stranded and Bimbo house. When I started playing the game it was pretty much a concept at start and as time progressed so did the game. Needless to say it was quite bad. But it gained attention because of the frequent updates and transparent goals. Let's cover the bad parts first, who doesn't love to end with some good news .

Consistency, while the Rel, the developer, certainly invests a huge amount of time in this project and therefore also covered a lot of other platforms there were a lot of old info or new info that wasn't yet on other sites. Other topic is that he released another game and even announced a third one. My suggestion to this is take it slow, finish one before starting another.

Alpha & Beta versions not playable after stopping a subscription. If I bought something, even if it's a subscription, taking away the version if they don't give you money anymore is in my opinion a steal. I paid for this current version I should get to keep it.

Resources, it's optimized now, for current alpha builds but for almost a year the game was around 13+GB. However that's old news, what isn't is that this game takes up 7GB of RAM on my system. May it be that certain 3D AAA titles take less RAM. I know, I know, it's a single developer but a 2D game taking this much RAM is a bit over the top.


Pfew, okay with all of that out of the way let's talk about some good news. All in all the developer has done a good job (You see 4 stars ). Couldn't have been easy. And I mean it, developing a game is hard as a programmer myself I can vouch for Rel if some bug or some feature take literal months to finish. Especially if there already is a lot of content.

Updates & schedule, this is a relaxed developer, taking his time to listen to feedback and criticism. Bug fixes for alpha are quite frequent and branch releases take about a month or 3. With his current goals to reach $14.000 I hope he is hiring a programmer.

Content, mainly because of his growing revenue, but actually investing in this game rather than keeping a larger chunk benefitted him a lot. Since now that he is a proper business he can lay those off to "business purchases". There are still some minor bugs in the game but aren't anywhere game breaking, especially not in free releases after 100's of people have already played it.

Continuing with the previous statement on bugs, yes if you a searching for them you will find them. An obvious one is wearing a corset and the top clothes not matching up. However it is mentioned, but the developer does have his priorities straight, although if he fixes it someday...


All in all this game is heading into the right direction but it can go anywhere from here. As mentioned above some things are lacking and can be improved for sure but seeing as he still is a single developer it can all get a bit much to keep on track.

Has multiple paths and endings, and finishing those unlocks perks that make new runs different. You can either corrupt and transform MC, or other npcs. Or maybe even ally them.

It's a decent game overall, and I would give it a 2.5/5 if I could. Here's why:



So if you know how to play the game, it's kind of easy and you'd know what to do, but here's the problem: there's no guidance and it's SUPER difficult to start off knowing nothing. I feel like there should be more guidance or even a mod soon that shows you what path you might want to pursue in the future.(Like those mods where it will show in the corner of the option "slut path +5 Himari or whatever.")



My main issue is that it took me 2-4 days to figure out how to play it, from browsing forum discussions to the Discord chats. Overall, you can unlock your wardrobe with pliers, so it won't be a permanent restriction, but it took me 5 days to discover by accident. What I'm trying to say is that for a new player, it is insanely difficult, or at the very least, maybe give generic tips more frequently because there are 300 things to click on in certain rooms like the kitchen.What do I mean by "tips"? Maybe if the wardrobe was locked, a tip button if you clicked on it twice or so, telling you maybe it's in the art room or something.



I'm not sure how big the team is for the game, but more content would be nice because most of the clothing and other items are recycled, etc., which is fine but feels meh.Which brings me back to the point of having to restart the game, where it only gives you the basic boring clothes as an option and you have to unlock endings to actually maybe get 3-4 pieces of clothing when there's maybe 100 or so clothes to unlock. I'd assume that 5 days of playing gave me only 3-4 endings where I got clothes, but now I have no idea what to do next to go the other routes, which makes it a huge time waster for me.



Overall, with SO MANY endings, this game needs some sort of guidance or in-game route, even if it's only on easy mode, to at least correct you if you accidentally go down the same path.Regarding the artwork, it is really great but very limited. It would be nice if there were more variations down the line. I'd also recommend introducing, if you end up injecting them, that you can have sex with them down the line, and sometimes they will sneak into your room at night to surprise you, if you know what I mean. Aside from that, I'd give it a 2.5 but could only give it a 2.

Overall wouln't recommend this if you are starting new and want to try and see multiple endings fast it takes a long as time aswell as he Walkthrough is paywalled which is sad if it actually informs you on what steps to take to go down certain paths differently (Publisize the walkthrough and make the game easier as a whole with more ingame tips)

TLDR :
- easier gameplay more tips if you have a thing u cant use give a tip where to find whatever to access or require (important)
- needs better artoworks for characters (important)
- more animations ingame and during game not only AFTER with characters (important)
- ingame sex if you inject them they suprise you at night with good animations/multiple ones (important)
- more clothing options down the line (less important)
- more storyline and maybe make it to continue as you ended off but starting like that to mix things up idk

Good game, pretty much the exact same concept as Who Wanna Be a Bimbo only better executed.

The only issues currently are that you can "dead-end" yourself very easily if you don't know what you're doing, although considering the game is less than halfway completed that's acceptable.
Same thing with the visuals, they need work, but the standing portraits that occasionally appear after NPC transformation are nice.

The transformations are nice, but the majority of the focus seems to be on the player at the moment since the maximum number of TFs you can give any NPC is three, and you might as well skip the libido TF since it doesn't seem to really change anything at the moment aside from adding a blush.

If they really want to improve this game, they need to add the ability to reuse the same TF triggers and the same TFs as well as slapping in more NPC interaction (TFs, dialogue options, physical interactions, etc.) since the game currently grinds to a slow crawl by the end of week three with nothing to do but wait for the next end week TF...that you can never win at the moment btw.

I really want to love this game because of the awesome transformation and outfit mechanics that progressively change your character over the course of play. I can't in good faith recommend this game to anyone in it's current state however as it's plagued by bugs and convoluted routes. Pass until a free walkthrough is released along with more bugfixes.

The game has actually become WORSE with time. Walkthrough got paywalled, losing to traps now shows that absolutely horrendous traced art instead of the standard hypno from before. The gameplay loop is pretty much still the same , click on 5 things a day to gain votes that you can spend on things (i personally hate the clother system, but thats preference ) but the dev keeps adding branches that force you out of the other content without any warning, so you need to click 5 things a day for 30 min again.

Not recommended at all in this state
