this short review refers to Boho version 1.0 (the complete version)
I guess Boho’s strongest merit lies on its authenticity. It's essentially a linear novel with few choices (most of them leading only to scenes’ jumping) describing what seems to be an actual and personal experience.
In such sense, the plot evolves rather naturally — even though a bit too “anxious” (too fast) for my taste —, with credible character interactions and dialogues. Further: Boho is a porn novel, thus one shouldn’t expect it to be a (theatre or screen) play. There are also some [storylines’] twists that grab the player’s attention.
There’s a bit of a logical circularity when the Writer/Dev decides to write and release Boho inside the game itself; yet, s/he/they do/es it fairly well by keeping both universes distinct and barely breaking the 4th-Wall.
The graphics overall are fine; yet, I do find the space to be a bit too empty (decors’ subtilization) and the renderings’ luminosity could be improved at some points.
There’s always room for amelioration; yet, I deem Boho as an honest project that delivers a nice experience for those who play it.
Good job, CabalZ.
