this is why my favorite subgenres of mind control are hypnosis or subtle thought manipulation. Its more fun when the target thinks they're acting according to their own thoughts and will with no idea its been subverted.
Pretty good game so far and the art is great (the previews don't do it justice, character sprites are great)
Also rare example of this type of RPGM game where they actually seem to have put a bit of effort into the combat mechanics instead of just tacking it on (or rather, leaving it in as the default gameplay from the engine)

It's also fun when they are aware but like it. Heck, one sub-genre that's seriously underrepresented is consensual mind control, where someone wants to have their thoughts twisted to your will. There are enough real women out there who fantasize about being on the receiving end of mind control, so why not have the fantasy involve a woman who wants it?
Yeah, that's my one real complaint about this demo, it's a lot more satisfying to see the brainwashing twist the person to the mind controller's designs, and them being none-the-wiser until it's already too late to resist is always nice. It's why I like Star Knightess Aura and City of Secrets and most Japanese visual novels tagged "mind control".
But the thing is: It's a demo. Future versions could give us more subtle MC story lines. Perhaps the Goddess is too powerful to be directly controlled by the power and so it can only be done subtly as an example.
Personally though I'm hoping that now that the protag had gained the full power of the dark god, he can go back and remake the bandit's mind to subtly manipulate for his own pleasure.
