You need to put the "Patch folder" with the Patch in the Game folder.

Boring is right. We just need a couple fixes:

1) Decapitate the ugly punk girl, and cut off her ugly punk fingernails, but preserve the body for fucking.

2) Eliminate all boring game elements and just make it straight visual novel without the need to scour the house and town to advance the story.
