RPGM - Abandoned - Boy Hero Ken ~Haunted House Investigation~ [2020-11-22] [Sixth Flowerbed]

A good first impression and interesting approach overshadows the game's shortcomings.

+ In the game we get not only typical CG, but also pixel art which is really well done and adds a nice variety;
+ You can see that the erotic scenes are well thought out, the author tried to give them a perverse flavour (this is important, because sometimes authors take the easy way out on this issue);
+ The gameplay is smooth, the missions are not tiring, so everything seems intuitive;
+ All in all, I like it when in an NTR game, the bull borrows more than one woman from environment;
+ We do have some choices in the game, there aren't many and they usually only apply to endings but it's still better than nothing;

- The story has some incomprehensible shortcomings, it seems as if the author took some shortcuts with certain assumptions in order to somehow bring it all together in a logical whole;
- Mechanically there is not much going on in the game, so people who like to play RPGM are unlikely to find much to do here.

Provided you turn a blind eye to the slightly naive story (which is nothing new with games of this type) this is a really successful title. Admittedly, we didn't get the extra ending the author promised, but still, what's in the game is enough for a few hours of fun NTR. People who do not like this category - rather do not have what to look for in this game, because everything is based on this fetish.

However, I have a problem with evaluating the game, because I would gladly change or add a few things in the title itself, and it wouldn't even require a lot of time, as long as someone has these skills. The artwork itself isn't bad, but those accustomed to a higher level of graphics will definitely be struck by the poorer quality of them. Obviously under normal circumstances this is not a 5/5 game, but in the end it did what it was supposed to do - everything works and I have a weakness for NTR titles so I won't be too hard on it.

Other than that a rating of 5/5, a rating of 5/5 is not equal, this game is just fun in its own way.

This was a very good game. The scenarios did it for me and I was basically hard the entire time. While I think that it could have taken the corruption aspect slower and made it more believable/reasonable it was really hot to see the girls (mostly Millie) realize their true desires. Moreover, I also need to talk about the art style. It's not for everyone and I think many will be turned off by how it looks. Despite that, I think that the art was fine, and even go as far as saying it was really hot sometimes. Might update this review if the next update is translated and adds a lot. I really hope we get to see what happens in the mansion during the timeskip.

Hello my name is Siderophilia and I have played Boy Hero Ken ~ Haunted House Investigation by Sixth Flowerbed.

Boy Hero Ken is essentially an NTR themed game with bad writing which I will proceed to complain about in detail. But let's start with the far less interesting competent parts.

The art of Boy Hero Ken is arguably the strong suit of the game. While nothing spectacular, the game combines animated sprite art with still frame 2dcg images in typical RPG maker fashion. The female characters are cute enough and while the game requires you to tolerate the "bald fat ntr man" trope at least he doesn't take the center of attention in most of the frames.

Gameplay wise it might be called unrefined. The game sure puts its best foot forward by sending you on entirely meaningless fetch quests which have no impact whatsoever on the story, but once the titular haunted house investigation starts I think it turns into a halfway decent exploration game (or a walking simulator as some would call it). It actually conveys the impression of exploring a vast decrepit mansion quite well, and although the linearity of it means the player sometimes runs into stops where it is unclear how to proceed that could be remedied if you could just find a walkthrough somewhere.

There may or may not have been music as well. If there was it was probably the default RPGM BGM and not worthy of notice.

Okay now we can get to the core issue, the writing, which is honestly the only reason I was provoked to review this game. As the plot of the game unfolded I could swear all the parts to telling a good story were present, but then it just stumbled over itself. As with a lot of things which show promise I can actually pinpoint a certain point at which the story breaks apart. There are certainly some dumb moments before that, but they are more in the territory of unbelievably comedic instances with little repercussions on the overarching plot. In order to explain further, I will however have to spoil the story of Boy Hero Ken, which you shouldn't care about anyways since it's really dumb:


Maybe I'm just overanalyzing this by expecting a cohesive plot from an NTR game, but I honestly believe there could have been one here. To me this borders on the 2-3 star range.

Wow this game sure is dumb.

If you're on the cusp of trying this one out, start with this simple question:
"Do I really, really love NTR?"

If your answer is "yes", then please, go right ahead and play this one you'll probably love it.

If you're anything like me though, where you're kinda "meh" towards NTR but willing to try it if it's a good game, and if you play lewd games for the nice art and sometimes cool stories then expect to be severely disappointed.

This game has got nothing special going for it besides the heavy NTR focus. Its' got stupid fetch quests, is oftentimes a walking around simulator (or maze navigator, if you will), and features the stupidest MC I've ever seen.

The MC is really retarded, so I hope you're not bothered by that. I found it funny at first but my amusement abruptly stopped when the MC finally understands that and he gets a chance to fix it all by going back in time, he goes straight ahead and lets it happen again anyway. Because that's how retarded he is. I would be surprised to learn that MC could brush his own teeth without assistance.

The art is censored and nothing special. The story is stupid and makes no sense. The gameplay consists of walking around looking for event triggers - which can sometimes be a real pain in the ass to find.

All in all, a thoroughly below mediocre experience. I guess you could see it differently if you're specifically looking for an NTR story and have played all the other better games that feature it. So if NTR is your thing, and you're willing to sacrifice pretty much any other gameplay value to experience it, then I guess go right ahead and download this one. Otherwise, steer clear of this one.

Looking at the art you wouldn't expect much, but this is seriously one of the best NTR games out there. The scenes are great and the story is even quite enjoyable. Definitely a must try if you are into NTR but if hate it, avoid this game.

Boy Hero Ken is again one of those games you don't have high expectations from looking at the art but turns out to be a masterpiece. I highly recommend playing it.
If anyone's interested or prefer a netori western, I also recommend playing Urban Demons.

The author uses the old "A horney old man sexually harasses a girl while the girl's cuck friend is way to oblivious to realize what's going on and wonders around like an idiot" plot. You played one you played them all. The plot just adds a little ghosts to the mix. It's the same voyeurism, same clueless main character, and the same girl that gets one taste of cock immediately goes from sexual harassment victim to her bulls cock slave. It's predictably boring and the corruption speed takes off like a rocket. She goes from a modest virgin to town slut in all but a couple days. Worse yet there's nothing you can do about it.

My advice for the author:

1st. Would be to to drag out the process. In these stories pacing is everything and with the corruption angle everything feels way too rushed. You could've made the story longer and drug out the corruption/romance process allowing for a more interesting game.

2nd. Try to change it up and get away from the predictable story lines. I would have made the MC and "childhood friend" a romance from the beginning. It would've allowed the gamer to bond with the girl a little more and made the NTR scenes better. I can't really feel anything for these characters when there's almost zero interactions between them. I would've made the main plot consist of the MC trying to romance and/or protect the girls while the old man tries to corrupt them. That rivalry and drama would've made the game and NTR more interesting from my perspective. The lack of any actions by the MC makes the game incredibly one sided and predictable.

There are two redeeming qualities to this game.

1st. The art is pretty good and the girls look great.

2nd. The scenes are good. Personally I enjoy the randomness of how they pop up when the moron MC just wonders around. The only down side is your unable to interact with them unless you just stand there like a useless cuck. Even though the author of the game hints that the MC would like to fight for the girls HE NEVER DOES! This is a huge let down.


Last point... The page says this is the final version however there is still an uncompleted ending. If this game gets updated and allows this MC to fight back to try to get the girls I'll have no problem giving it another star but until then it's just like the other inevitably boring "Horney old man stole my childhood friend!" games.

Where to start with this gem, I knwo not.

Firstly before I go in depth know that this game is nearly finished and has an single more ending to be made, so until then know that this is an full and pure NTR game. Tldr; its unavoidable.

Now the game, I wil go by list;

Story -5 of 5
Fat out the best NTR plot I ahve ever read in a an game, and most likely among the best adult game plots, even though you play the MC who is the victim in the Trinity of NTR(till next update), story also shows the events from the girls POV so you can stretch this to an female protag Tag. With how the game mechanic of timewarp works this story is basically an Matrushka doll in itself, with what ifs happening with every ending which are all unique.

Lastly the corruption in the game is very well done with the MC himself being how he is contributes to a lot but it is still has an watered down porn morality to it.

Art - 3.5 of 5
Not all is perfect however the art is well at its core meager in quality but with how it is used in scenes (it has Animation!) makes it a non-con but in fact I would say fits perfectly to this.

Scenes are nearly all diffrent from each other with very few copies of one other and the ones that are copies are because of the fact that locations of it are the same or to show the comparison between the Cucked and the Cucker. Only con I can think of it is that I did not saw many cum in most of them even though there was ejaculation though most of them creampies. Just a personal choice of mine to see cum in the scenes, it wont mtter if you dont look for it.

Now while there would be more categories to give points to, this is an RPGM so music and game play are very same as others though do not expect turn based Combat as Combat does not exist. So no grind and such

Play this game only if you like NTR as it is the focal point of it if you like NTR this is an 5 of 5 with art being so basic not making an 6 of 5. Also it is an good start point to NTR if you have not played such game before it is Quality made NTR. So if you have decişded to play happy edging till the full completion like me, whhich tok about 3 hours for me probably 4 hours once the last update hits.

If you don't mind the NTR I really recommend this game! for me as much as I enjoyed the sex scenes I was definitely into making the dense boy cuck-hero Ken watch the mayor and the girls, it was such a rush and I can't stop grinning . I really associate myself with the Mayor.

No joke I'm feeling disgusted when I got to play as Ken... so if I have to nitpick, I wish I can play as the Mayor more, he is actually a lovable character and not the typical asshole villain in ntr story.

The art wasn't appealing at first but ends up being actually super good.
The story and gameplay will build up sexual tension in a perfect way, making you want to always keep on playing.

You nearly never get confused, the game always tells you what to do, and even tell you when a choice will lead to a certain ending, allowing you to super easily reach all of them (and propose you at the end to go back to the fork so you can try a different choice).

If I had to give a negative point, it would be that 3rd useless character that looks like a deformed boy with small tits. This one could have been avoided.

Enjoyable and fairly long game if you're into NTR. Took me almost 4 hours to get all the endings, which it tells you exactly how to get. Art is nice too, especially if you're into animated pixel art like in NTRPG.

The combination of chibi images and events is a step forward in this genre.
I look forward to seeing the final ending hopefully we can see how all the girls get their costumes.

Great if you're a fan of exhibitionism or NTR. One of the best japanese games you'll ever play if you're a fan of both, like me. It has some of the best corruption in the genre, keeping things pretty exciting the whole time. It's also very creative in its storytelling, bringing something fresh compared to other games. The art isn't the most refined, but definitely good enough to be very stimulating. Overall 5/5 game and was a very nice surprise.

Normally i don't play Hentai games not cause i like the genres but cause of the quality and the lacking sex scenes where you simply don't see enough and the male characerters are just randoms or oversized.... similar stuff goes to this game here but i still rate it so good, why? Well:

Pros:

• genre, i love NTR stuff especially with old bastards and curvy girls
• story, the story is quite interesting with many twists
• main characters, you play many characters during the game which is very refreshing (especially the old guy which is awesome)
• big amount of content
• hidden sex scene ideas are awesome (even they are very mediocre implemented)
• neither too hard nor too easy
• diffrerent endings (some of them hotter than the others, but the hottest ending is still missing!!)
• protaginst boy is very dumb (for some maybe too dumb) but i love it!
• no annoying fighting! (wish far too many games have unfortunately)

Cons:

• the artstyle could be a at least bit better, the nun looks awesome, the black haired girl has great tits but is a tad too thin otherwise
• nun scenes (for how hot she is) are lackluster most of the time
• church father quite an uninteresting guy who still manage to get nun's pussy...
• no character beside the old guy and the girls are drawn
• sex scenes themselves are often lackluster
• old guy is cunning and very pervy and smart which is nice but he is too tall... (why are so many guys in asian games so massive?)
• one ending is very underwhelming but regarding the better others its okay

This game made me play it a hole day through but not cause of its quality and greatly drawn sex scenes, no, cause of the massively hot idea with great characters, atmosphere and very very naughty and corrupted sex implementions. From now on my favorite game. i think it's nice from which point of view we experience the development of the story. That we are almost shown everything hidden now. As it is said in other words in the game, there is still a lot of places that you could feel with scene and others. The biggest gap in the moment is that we do not experience what happens in the old mansion after Ken and father Tomas met. there must have been a lot of happening, hope that we can still go back as a friend and see scenes from the past, as well as the faces themselves can play on site, because I am convinced that there was a lot of other people in the house asl Ken did not go back in time went and stayed there with his father Tomas. What can I say the charter is all very worthwhile I like all of them I think the true hero in your face has been the mayor from the start, the hero we can watch and experience ourselves. so the way and knows how it is told I think it's the best thing about the game. I hope that we will continue to work on it because more scenes come in I think that there was even more planned but due to lack of time or other recours it was shortened. It's a good game, but unfortunately we don't see what is happening in the mansion near the father and father Tomas Cramps and the 2 women alone. and it looks partly unfinished I only have to give 4 stars instead of 5 with my heart, although it deserves 5 with the missing gaps which I hope will be felt as 5 stars plus

in few words:
a great ntr, compact, with great scenes and a very good environmentalization, lacking in some basic criteria like art, but it leaves something to be desired.

technical criteria:
this game is a classic ntr / cheating, with a good story, very cuck main character, the classic, a simple story with a big margin for ntr, a point worth mentioning.

there is a good diversity of character even though I miss a little bit of blue hair, it brings great different scenes, which is also a point to be exalted in this game is that there is a great but simple voice acting, without conversations and also some animated scenes could be further explored, as these scenes end up being very similar.
has a questionable art, not very good, but I have certainly seen many worse.

another technical point worth mentioning is the size of the game, it is a medium size game and with some boring recycles, it could be much bigger and better worked on corruption, but I don't know the creator's limitations.

final considerations:
a great game ntr 2d rpg (which is very rare to find a focused ntr and with quality), with good and very immersive scenes, unfortunately it has strong cons in the basics (which would show you the scenes it leaves for later) leaving a lot of space between true gameplay and scenario building (which is a big sin in a hentai game) and art that could improve.
it has an art more or less but with some animations and voiceovers that compensate the average art.

final grade: 7.5

This is the best NTR game I have played since Summer Color. There are many different types of taste when it comes to NTR but this hit all the right spots for me:
- Hidden sex/stealth sex
- Good sound direction
- Easy enough to get from scene to scene
- Good sprite work
- Animations
- a dash of comedy
In a weird way it's like a feel goofy kind of NTR story. Don't expect soul crushing writing going into this. Instead we get various erotic scenarios and a dense protag with apparently a heart of rainbows and sunshine. It's not realistic at all and the corruption happens a bit too quickly but the pay off is great. I hope to play more games like this in the future.
