I don't really know how to phrase this, but there seem to be a few different "schools" of creating and using Koikatsu characters, and I agree that most of them are not my cup of tea. However there are a few developers that do a great job with them and make the characters all look like sexy adults. I'm not sure how much of that is a skill issue, and how much of it is choice based.Brewing Curves [v0.1.1] [Enor] I don't care much for Koikatsu characters, but hey another game with BE, supposedly.

That makes a lot of sense. The ones who make the games I like in that style often choose different stock models and shading techniques, both male and female, and I wonder if those are more expensive than the other ones too. The ones that choose a more adult, fit MC are usually high end and the ones that choose a kid as the MC are usually low end.Making basic characters in Koikatsu is easy.
Making ATTRACTIVE characters in Koikatsu takes a lot of work, and quite a few mods, as well as (usually) some custom assets.
Most developers choose KK for the ease of use, which means they aren't going to put in that extra effort to make it look good. The ones that do put that effort in are choosing KK for the anime-style visuals, not for the simplicity.
Its long been my experience that almost any time someone is told "go start a new thread", that new thread gets absolutely zero conversation and traction, and just dies. Regardless of the topic.I think Im here from page one and I think this post has never been specially strict about this offtopic problem. I actually like having this space of discussion for things that are topic related, if they doesnt drift too much. For example, there has been a few times where other complex topics like our opinions about AI generated content or such that probably doesnt fit the thread and belong other places.
We are a relative small comunity and having a thread to read opinions about games or how to make them it is interesting. It sometimes sparks some people to do some tries or remember others about certain related interested topic. Maybe if we start opening other threads this focused place of exchange is going to be diluted.
What do you think? is there another thread like this on the forum to discuss this kind of "so close ideas but offtopic" and I have missed it?
