I finally got around to play the latest version. I really love the Silent Hill and horror vibes of the new level. This makes this game really stand out compared to 3D porn games. And I also think that the choice of having turn-based battles also helps the presentation, thanks to the dynamic camera angles.
The battle system might need a couple adjustments still. I get the focus on "survival" and hard battles, but at the same time the dungeons are too tight in order to be able to avoid monsters.
I think being able to "first-strike" enemies on the map, in order to inflict them a respectable amount of damage, would be a good addition.
It also lacks a "guard" or a "dodge" option, whether it is a simple damage reduction or it also reduces chances of being knocked down. It would make the Hugger fights much less RNG based and open new strategies for future enemies.
