I'm going to come right out and say it. I don't trust this at all.

After reading the dev's attitude towards some things, reading their patreon saying that they are working on another game, and how they are moving on to adding new races when their game has many other problems I place a HUGE X to doubt here.

Brushing off font problems, and saying 'it's not the utmost importance to us, it fits for the moment' and 'We're not really looking atm to do a whole font change and correct the complications that might arise from it' is a huge red flag for me.

The general unwillingness to fix minor issues that contribute to the overall base (which should be strong) to the game is a terrible move and indicative of their lack of caring for either their game or quality. This is evidenced by the fact that they've already moved on to adding a race instead of fixing other issues people have brought up. E.G. Inconsistent art styles, cartoony animations that was (very kindly) suggested to be changed, and an addition of a female MC.

Also its not a good thing sign that they are working on another game while working on this. Since this type of game genre is something that many people have been desperate to play after the disaster that was BS (bullshit) and CM (cow milking). It comes off very very heavily as an attempt to milk money off of nostalgia for their other game.

Hopefully someone else picks this genre up, with more transparent and honest intentions.

Man! We need people compromised to make a game of this genre. I WILL DO IT but i don't know nothing about programming, We can make a group (maybe in Discord) and contribute to make a game FROM the community FOR the community. We (the fans of this genre) can make a game togheter! learning in the process and sharing ideas. (sorry i have a bad English)

Me again, I just want to criticize again how uncoordinated everything is. It doesn't seem like this will change anytime soon.

I forgot to mention that I heavily dislike how they just published an obviously confused mess of a game just to get some money for it (at least, that's how it looks like and I've not gotten any confirmation otherwise).

Someone who truly cares about this would get their shit together instead of delivering a game that they know has a bunch of problems. This is triple A tier behavior, 'Release now, fix later' but instead it's 'release now, add features, fix later'.

What's most depressing is that people are holding out hope for this game. When I see that it's a clear cash grab. They halted the game almost as soon as it was announced, and there was an extremely laissez-faire attitude towards very minor problems that were pointed out right at the beginning and an extreme hesitation towards fixes and general features people here would like added.

I think the 700~ dollars that people are pledging are wasted. I sincerely hope people jump off this wagon before it gets any worse. Either that, or the devs change their pledging to major updates only until the game is at a suitable stage where the bare basics (consistent art design, clean text box/font and generally bug free) are completed. Then they can change it to monthly patronage when they are in a place where they can ADD features without constantly going back over and fixing things.

In my opinion, they should take down their patreon, because they're basically being paid to do nothing but repeat the past mistakes of BS and CM.

Edit:
I suggest to devs to focus on one game, finish that one and go back to this one, without getting two income streams at the same time where one comes from the pure nostalgia and hope from fans that they will finally get a game they want.

But I doubt they will shut down the patreon to finish their other project faster and give their full focus on this one because this is clearly not an honest attempt to appease a broken fan base, but just an exploitative measure to get money.

well i really hate to hold out hope for this game

Devs.... focus on one game to be finished
real reason for delay is the rework for all monster races
monsters looked like actual furries with barely any human traits, this wasn't liked by a lot. so they changed the designs to be more anime-ish

let's hope they give something decent

Honestly, at this point, I have no sympathy for these morons wasting money on porn game devs. The whole "porn game" industry is fucked and lopsided as shit. There are some developers who are super, super great, but for every 1 developer who cares for their community and isn't overpaid to fucking death through Patreon (comparatively to the amount of effort they actually put in), there's 99 who are pretty much just shitters. At this point, if you don't purely have the attitude of "take what you can get and forget about the rest", you're going to be reeeally disappointed following these development processes.

I just really wish the moronity of the masses stopped giving some of these devs so much money, so they'd be motivated to improve their workflow and/or (as is the case with some of them) actually fuckin' do something, instead of just free money rolling in.

I'm hoping the update comes out as much as you guys. I'm a good part of the reason the AP update has taken so long, but Idk what's personally held up BF as much. I thought it'd be out sooner as well.

if it's the art discussion, i suggest you keep new stuff with Plan A, really liked that "naive" style. possibly faster to create animations with anyway, what with lesser object details and all. there are different artists for the two versions, right?

Right now... I can't be certain about LNSC. I think it's an issue with him working full time with other projects he has to manage. GZone has stated in the past and just recently again that he has a desire to convert Breeding Farm into Unity for purposes of design with the MC. Right now, we're not certain if Patreon is the right place to host a game like this at the moment. Those folks often worry about the potential gray lines of "animal-like monster" or "monster-like animal". That and if monster creatures can even consent or not to breeding. But, the Unity change would allow us to change what our MC looks like much more easily.

How does changing engines make it easier to make changes to your MC? Aren't they hand drawn? I fail to see how this makes anything any easier

Also, not a good look when avoiding to answer to people's grievences with the game. While I don't mean to sound hostile, this is the only way I can word this.

Anyways I'd say, since there are so many problems with this game and the designers having their time stretched so thin that they can barely pay attention to it. This game's patreon should be shut down in an effort to not look like they're being paid for working on another game while paying little to no attention on this one. Either that or switch the patronage to major updates only. Whether you are directly responsible for the whole game or not, you're still the spokesperson for this so I'm repeating this to you more directly. Since I've already suggested this in this thread, and others have acknowledged it besides you or anybody else who's had a hand in this game.

Edit: and I'm not mad or have a vendetta against anyone. But I came to this conclusion and have this attitude solely because I don't get any feeling that their intentions are true, because the actions and tone don't reflect that. Unfortunately I'm getting more and more proof of that. And I'm sure there will be more after this.

So again, is it the wait that's the worst part? I'm trying to understand what the issue is for this game in your opinion, because I work on a good amount of stuff and read a lot of different comments. I definitely don't want to be "Let them eat cake" about it either, I just want to know what it is I'm avoiding the questions about and what you guys are liking/disliking about the game. I'm going to ask GZone right now what he thinks still is remaining before v0.3.1 needs to come out, so I at least am aware what the issue is.

Also, side note, Unity apparently will allow for more, what I would describe as "tween" like animations/asset placements, it's just a different functioning of the way things can move visually. I think that's at least a novice understanding of the situation, but I don't know, I'm not a programmer.

Thanks for your reply and attempting to keep us to the mark.

'so again' lol ;)

My problem and people's problems with it are pretty clear, I outlined exactly my problems with it at length. I don't understand if it's a compréhension problem or just that you see no issue in anything. I'm almost inclined to believe you are actually playing dumb in a rather dishonest way, because it's inconceivable for anyone to interpret my post or other people's posts as '... So is it the wait that's the problem or...?'. But I didn't really expect much in response when it came to this.

I appreciate the info on Unity. So it's basically redoing the whole game on a different engine, interesting. At least, to my knowledge, I don't believe you can port a renpy game to unity.

Hey sorry, but I didn't see your posts from before, on the 8th or the 10th. I was only reacting to what I got from you directly, which was today. You didn't @ me your issues, so I didn't know what you were referring to, so I only answered what you asked of me directly. If you can believe me when I say I genuinely didn't know what your specific issues were referring to, that's the honest truth. I don't always scroll back or digest everything that was written before the place I get a notification for, and I sometimes don't always read every post on a thread I'm apart of. I wouldn't have enough time in the world for that stuff. But, I've seen your posts now, I'll read them, and try to get back to you on anything I can answer. Again, sorry for any issues, but I'm not trying to be deceitful, or skirt around criticism. I personally would have no reason to. (y)

I'll say this, though it's rather irrelevant to mention, I will anyways. You weren't @'d anywhere in the same exact page I posted my messages. It's a wonder how you managed to respond to the few messages peppered between my posts and the posts agreeing with me in some capacity, if the @'ing issue was the case. I hesitate to even state that this was on purpose, for the sake of others here. But I've made up my mind personally on that front, I've seen and had enough examples given to me in real life of people who care, to know the difference between superficiality and honesty.

You can say whatever you want, but I'm not interested in answers with no substance, because inevitably what you're doing is avoiding, as a whole, problems that people both see with the game and instinctually feel. I only decided to confront you about this so that there would be no confusion as to the fact that you have at least acknowledged the posts' existence. You can only avoid the inherent problems in the conduction of this game for so long with messages that attempt to placate, self flagellate or downplay things.

I'll still be watching closely anyhow. I say, good luck, to the actual people working the most on this game as a side note.

mmm Unity.. i have a Big issue with Unity. it's many times a game goes downhill after changing to Unity. then, it supposedly makes everything better, but it mostly just grabs a HUGE amount of ressources for no apparent reason. for me, games in Unity also never get my screen right. i have a TV as screen ok, which contains hardware and chipset of a even bigger TV. this is reported to the windows settings, no issue with commercial games. small stuff i prefer to play in a window. now, Unity in it's impertinent erhm "wisdom" does create a window, which is bigger than my screen, and things like buttons etc. are messed up; game breaks. maybe coding, maybe poorly written, maybe Unity itself, however; each damn game that has no option to set a size, is out of the loop for me. i don't like to hack into something just in order to try it out. i don't use cheats on games presented here, barely ever look for walkthrough unless i'm fully lost. change to Unity, and you might get lost in a changeroo, keeping changing just because it's so easily done.
sorry /walloftxt.
about Patreon, well i still dislike their site for reasons, but, wasn't there something about whatsitcalled, adult patronage or so?
ofc unlikely to be at the frontend.

Morah, goodluck working at Unity, im sure you know how unity works and its a well known red flag game engine that keeps updating everytime, just pick the stable version of unity and never keep updating your unity engine.

pls optimize the game as well
