Summary: This is a short and simple AVN (or adult game). Lets see if i can make the review short and simple as well. Breedtown 2 is the second time we follow Brandon (the MC) as he goes on a breeding spree. Where BT1 was about Brandon proving his worth to a prospective breedee, this second Breedtown has a main plot with a scientific angle. That is to say, a high level researcher of the Fartech corporation (Brandons employer, dealing in fertility products and research) wants to get to the bottom of how Brandons abilities work, in particularly the social and mental aspects. This sounds complex and all, but is a comparatively simple way of having a red thread tying the individual H scenes together, along with a few snippets of a deeper story. At the end of the day Breedtown 2, like its predecessor, mostly remains a h scene collector game. The scope and scale of the characters, the world lore, etc. have been expanded relative to BT1. In terms of LI’s, if you can call them that, the numbers have essentially tripled, a few with questlines of their own, but most with just a few tasks or not even that.
Still, the format is similar to BT1. Brandon is supposed to knock up a certain number of girls in order to complete the main storyline and getting to the ending. This time, repeated breeding is a thing and the individual girls endings depend on the number of children conceived. BT2 is easy to get into and highly likable provided you like the following tags: Breeding/impregnation, silly humor, voluptuous women (especially big boobs), simple gameplay and puzzle solving, etc.
Pros: I think that the BT franchise have managed to hit the sweet spot regarding gameplay (with a few annoyances further below). Moving around, interacting with people, solving puzzles, getting money and buying items. It all works pretty well.
- The quality levels of the girls are decent all around. The individual girl may be lacking in areas like H-scene quality, visual design, etc., but usually only one thing at that.
- The franchise clearly knows its niche well and how to get the most out of it for the readers enjoyment.
Mehs and hit/miss: Too many girls? Yeah, they become less memorable compared to the smaller cast in Breedtown 1.
- Dialogue often refers to the girls climaxing throughout the breeding sessions, but at the same time the text doesn’t go into detail about it. You get the impression that they only climax at the end simultaneously with Brandon. This is both due to the alleged climaxes not being reflected in neither audio nor visuals. More renders might have solved this.
- Some sound effects are a little too comedic or cartoonish. The insemination sound as an example is somewhat similar sounding to a fart.
- I suppose that while variation in the selections of girls is generally good, we still get 4 (or 6 with a broad interpretation) blonde bimbo characters.
- Breedtown 2 does not feature animations. I don’t mind this myself, but a most scenes would probably benefit from a having more renders to illustrate movement during h-scenes.
Cons: The repeated breeding mechanic is too grindy. Having to go 10 times per girl (with a few exceptions) with no discernible difference outside to additional fertilized eggs gets tiring. 3 to 6 repetitions per girl with varying numbers of eggs fertilized would be better.
- I preferred the brighter and more different environments of Breedtown 1. Breedtown 2 is very dark and samey looking and you definitely get tired of it.
- In addition to the very dark and drab nighttime visuals, I also think that the beach and most Timberland nightclub interiors suffers from being huge and absolutely empty.
Rating: 4 Stars. The excessive grind (technically optional) and almost everpresent dark, empty and gloomy enviroments was too much of a drag for a 5 star rating. Still, a solid piece of work. Onwards to Breedtown 3.
