Developed daily. Follow discord to see the updates being made.
Glad to hear it's still being developed. I'm eight hours in and I feel like I've still hardly seen even 10% of the content in the game, which makes me even more excited to see development continue.

There seems to be a glitch in the tomb of Hikari. In where whenever I look the top left chest the game just kicks me out with the error message.

"Script 'Item Popup - Vlu/Ronin' line 120: ZeroDivisionError

Divided by Zero" (I dunno why I typed it out and added a picture but ya know) IMG_20240817_040547074.jpg

So, I just wanna say I absolutely love the game. I don't think I'm too far in but I do love the game. Naturally there is occasional glitches here and there but the systems are intriguing and fun to play with.

I'll start with my main gripes. Some information doesn't feel laid out properly. Now I am not saying the game should hold my hand tell me exactly where to go or what to do. In fact you can figure out MOST things on your own. However for certain things, as an example the (Hikari dungeon is the name I believe) there could be a bit more of a hint towards it. Maybe there was one and I missed it at first but it's a minor gripe. I'm sure a lot of people will hate the backtracking but to be honest I didn't mind it, once you run through an area once maybe twice you can easily map a route through it out and I find it satisfying.

Now as for my favorite aspects, not just the story but specifically the uniqueness of the game. It is unforgiving as fuck. I died a lot in the beginning, I played it like other RPG's where I could just use one move but obviously I couldn't. The combat is nuanced, I genuinely thought about weakness's, I used buffing items before big fights. I loved it because I died so many times to some gank fights where I'd fight maybe 3 enemies but then I found a strategy. I crafted a bunch of sleep powder and when there was a gank fight it allowed me to use the powder and take the enemies on one by one while still keeping the fight engaging and challenging. The insanity system as well is something I love and think those subtle immersive systems are ones more games should implement.

P.S I'm trying to get Azar as a companion is there any way to do that? I've so far met her at the minotaur cave, cleared it, talked to her at the academy then found her in the woods and did that mini quest(?) but I'm not sure how to progress further.

If I remember correctly Azar isn't available as a full companion yet? I believe she can also only be romanced as a blood mage.

I actually went into the the Discord and found some stuff on the Foibles. I knew the "Androgynous" foible made you unlikeable but goddamn, I didn't know it directly effected romanceable characters. Not only that, but some of those Foibles seem to be sneaky ways to activate Hardcore difficulty based on the penalties they give.

Depending more on the playstyle you choose.

A couple early bugs I found:

1. In the cellar of the palace you can get to through the sewers, if you interact with the maid, after she calls the guards, you get softlocked
2. In the palace, if you interact with the king, the screen will move forward 2 tiles but not go back. You can continue interacting with the king until you can no longer even see your own character

There's a few other minor bugs I didn't pay much attention to, but thought I should mention these at least

Edit: Another bug. If you end a fight with a move that can proc the "Failed" message like the berserker's killing frenzy move, which fails if you killed the last enemy and there's still attacks remaining, the "Failed" message will stay in the screen until your next fight. Weird thing is it doesn't always happen. Not sure if it was because I kept the ctrl key pressed or not

Edit2: Another softlock. If you get close to the tree house in the forest of illfang, you get an endless loop of a dialogue message of a young wolf that doesn't seem to be in the screen at all. The only way to stop it is by praying to god that one of the enemies aggroes and starts a fight, but if you exit and enter the range of that message, the loop will start again

Edit3: I don't think I'd recommend this game. I want to like it. I genuinely do, because it's interesting but it's a horrible chore. Traveling from one place to the other takes forever, which is aggravated by how few and far apart the fast travel points are and most importantly by the absurd amount of random animals that chase after you for no reason and a single one of them triggering every other enemy of the same kind, even when you switch areas is extremely aggravating. The game is just not fun and that's not mentioning all the game breaking bugs. I wanted to also mention the bug related to the minotaur cave that crashes your game, but it seems that one's been around for over a year so my expectations for stability or improvements dropped to the ground

Edit4: Yet another bug that crashes the game. In the tomb of the dragon, after defeating the guarding golem, the chest on the top left crashes the game. Just checked their discord and that bug has also been around since 2023...

Bug with crash encountered.
South valley, south-east cave with minotaurs. Crash on entering that cave: Script 'Enemy Bars' line 258: NoMethodError occured. Undefined method 'boss_bar' for nil:NilClass.
I'm having the exact same issue
