As someone who just recently started drawing in an attempt to finally build a KN that has been sitting in my head, I absolutely love the art (especially the expressions).

Thanks a lot! Yeah we're starting to realise that expressions, exagerations and a little bit of bending realistic anatomy is the best use of 2D! also uplifting comments like this really do make us excited. Also go for it, making KN's has been way more fun than I ever thought

Finally got our first animations!
We've encountered many small errors like artifacts showing, renpy not allowing webm-files to have transparent backgrounds. Feels good to now have all the steps in place to keep making more

Alright so I've tested the game out for a bit. I'm still currently playing it right now but there's already a few things I would like to point out

First of all, good job on incorporating a naturally stitched background with AI. (I'm guessing it was) Although it takes me out of it to see an old Japanese building with a hotel like lobby the further you go in.

The transitions and animations are good. The music is fine. The demo is pretty polished at least.

The place is hard to navigate. There are no indications on where to go and what to do next. I don't see a clear direction yet. But if you can improve on that, it'd be hugely beneficial for your game.

Okay so I've played a bit more and I didn't realize that there's a fast travel on the map on the top right side. I didn't know at the time since it was never really explained. It's like we were just thrown in the game to figure things out ourselves.

Can't say it's good or bad, I'm just saying my thoughts.

I agree with everything you pointed out and this really gave me some super clear instructions to work with, thank you!

Since I've played it so much and I more or less speedrun the game every time to fix stuff. I've almost completely forgot about the fast travelmap and the guide. A small introduction to that is definately needed, and I'll also work on adding icons of the characters and events to the map too.

Been stuck in a bubble and I put the UI on the back burner because I thought "Eh it's working" and focused on the scenes instead. Bad move on my part.
Anyways I got so excited about the feedback that I probably worked 11 hours on it today and completed most of the list.

To do list from your feedback:

Major:

• reception looking out of place -make it look older and fit the style
• introduction to the UI - fast travel map and fast forward
• current location on map - show MC on map
• all other characters current location -
• arrows and clickables - Make everything clickable more visable
• hide textbox/interface - hide button (important for mobile)
• Finnish the placeholder art - all the small items and some characters
  
  Minor:
• write your name letter - "Type your name here" added to stop confusion
• globe icon - Turn it into a map/compass?
• time of day UI and fast forward - Still shit
• cancel option - add "back" option in character menus
• bag - remove bag untill I actually implement items
• phone - make background clickable to go "back"
• map - make background clickable to go "back"
• upstairs barn room - remove arrow and make window button
• new room with vines - make it left of the barn and not down

We've gone through your feed back. It's not perfect and we will keep working on the UI A LOT, but it should be MUCH easier to navigate through the map and see what's clickable

Everything clickable now has a clear border

An update to the Reception area to match the rest of the hotel

The phone and the map menu now has a clickable background to go "back". All characters are now also shown on the map (yes we will work on the character icons)

Aura has worked hard on the art and we're very close to our first actual release. We will start with only a PC version while we're waiting for a renpy shader fix to save us some work.

What we have left now is only

• Mc bath scene
• Shower scenes
• Quick fix Emily scene
• Fixing the demo/tutorial dialogue boxes
• Implementing all the art Aura has made
• Small improvements

No, MC won't get cucked. So far we haven't planned a relationship with the MC, He's more going around light heartedly and ends up with sex. If we add a true romance story he won't get his girl stolen. If you consider NTR when you fuck someone who's already married MC might find a married woman he bangs but it's not planned yet

Right now there's only 2 other male characters in the game and they're there for humor. The girls pretty much live in the bath house so they don't have sex with other guys. When we introduce a world map we might create a married milf character altough it's not planned and in that case I assume that milf has fucked her husband at least once to have a child.

All in all we don't have NTR in the game. We might add Netori which is considered not NTR in the west? Where you might find a girl that already has a boyfriend. It's not planned at all currently. We have our 4 girls in the demo and 4 upcoming ones and none of those will have relationships

It's a super valuable thing to be able to periodically put yourself in the shoes of an "outsider" and try to test your creations with no assumptions/prior knowledge. In my experience few software developers seem to be able to do it consistently, so it's great that the feedback from Yazen_ was able to push you back into that headspace.

Your game is looking super cute and fun! good luck, looking forward to see it soon

Yeah I agree its super hard. Some dialogue for example end with "meet me here tonight" and I think it's simple to understand but then I get players who just skip reading that last line (which I do on other peoples games all the time) so I've added in the in game guide "Meet her in her room at night" for example. I'm so thanksfull for the players giving feedback on these things because it's so hard not knowing what you don't know

Ok we've finally released the v0.1 on our discord!

We will try to see if we can get some playtesters for last minute fixes, if we can't find anything we will upload to itch and get an upload here on f95 as well.
I'm so excited and proud of what we've achieved. From here on out it should be much faster to make more content when all of the "normal" sprites, UI and and coding is done!

Game is now uploaded to itch for pc and android and we're waiting for an upload here on f95. We will continue adding more conent and fix the upcoming bugs/feedback. I know for example 6 lines of dialogues are currently too long to read on the android version.

Coming up next is gonna be Sarahs story and some Emily scenes

I have nothing against making this real incest, wouldn't take me long. I thought stepcest would be "best of both worlds" where incest enjoyers would like it and people not into it would accept it. If I get more feedback like yours I'll switch it to real incest in coming updates

I hope you could consider it, or you could also add it as a optional preference into the game, for example that you can choose whether they are step or the real deal when starting the game.

I mean I prefer the real deal, and its what I expected when I saw this thread and the name of the title coming by so I was kinda disappointed when I saw the dreaded step words

Would be great if you could look into it, it sure would get me hooked (and many others) instead of skipping it because the artwork and premise is great
