The protagonist's seriousness and rugged appearance as if he came right out of the Darkest Dungeon in contrast to the furry cartoony horny bunnies around him is ridiculously hilarious and weirdly cool. While yes, the grammar is crap, but the dialogue is still understandable.

But here's a message for the mods: JRPG doesn't equal to Japanese game, big dummies. Then again, it's what attracted me, a Japanese-made furry game would sound interesting; until you know that they are Italian, but don't care because the game is good anyway.

Aside from the creativelly bankrupt idea of using RPGmaker, you can't run in the wilderness which although "realistical" on the base of not being careless in the wilderness, it's also dragging the game, a good point is that it dropped the "stop doing X" asap, some people will keep dragging the reluctancy so much it becomes annoying also having a special item that can be either exchanged for an upgrade or a "potential" sexy scene is not a great idea either

Which items are you refering to? The trophies or the plants?
The trophies will either give you an armor piece or an ability. They dont influence sex scenes.
The plants (carrot, etc) give you a scene and a new ability for the bunnies.
The artwork is very familiar to me as well. I checked some of my old watched FA artists, and
I think it's WDL. Though the FA page hasn't been touched in a decade. I'm looking to see if the have any more recent galleries or if they had a different handle.
I can confirm that the FA description is Italian. And the twitter account linked in this post also claims to be Italian. Not pointing any fingers yet, just raising some red flags.

I hate seeing a RPGmaker project with some really unique character art, and yet it's trapped in a world constructed with the same cookie-cutter default art assets that 99.9% of RPGmaker games use. If you clearly have the eye and the skill to make that kind of original art, it's a real disappointment to not also focus that talent into making some original RPGmaker assets. Otherwise everything else that you do just stands out like a sore thumb. It makes your characters and your art look so out of place, instead of being a part of the world they supposedly inhabit.

Not really. You will see non jap devs use the term JRPG like, JRPG inspired or similar terms on games that follow the typical JRPG design we know. I mean, it's in the name, Japanese RPG.
It won't be wrong to call Dark Souls a JRPG. Of course, I too call it just an RPG. But asked to specify further, I will say something along the lines of "Dark Souls is an RPG made by Japanese devs but it plays like a western RPG." It would be wrong to say DS is a western RPG, feels like though, is fairly accurate.
