As long as this stays optional, it won't ruin the game for me completely, but I warned the dev this was a bad move awhile back. In the end, as long as most people on Patreon support this, I doubt much will change. You guys gotta remember people do this to earn money. And most devs think the more they appeal to people the more followers and the more money they get.

Also, like I said, I think the remake of the overall story besides the NTR and the updated art are good. But the mom still needs more incest scenes added before and after pregnancy tho.

Haven't played in a while, so i'm a bit behind
Didn't even know a rework was underway until just now.
So how much of the mom's old content was scrapped?
Has any of it been replaced/redone yet?

It's mostly been redone, pregnancy is getting readded in next update, along with extra vanilla scenes and an entirely new degradation route

Can I ask? Did the dev do this on his own, or was this an idea his supporters wanted? I used to support the dev, but had to stop a while ago so I'm not in the loop of why this was put in.

The mind set of a lot of devs is if they add several routes like love and NTR, then they can appeal to large groups of people to earn more money. If you have not done it for the money. Ahh, so this was part of the plan all along? Well if it's you're fetish and you wanted to put it into your game, then that's understandable. I think people just thought your supporters pressured you into adding in the NTR. I guess there really is no good way to add in something like this later in the game that won't shock people or turn them off. The fact that it's optional is nice, but it still puts a weird and gross feeling in my gut that the path is even possible to begin with. I think with something that's so polarising you just have to expect the pushback. I know I would if I wanted to make a game with all my kinks.

I think the reason for the backlash here is that the game had this impression of being a light hearted slice of life IN THE ROMANCE ROUTE. People do not deviate from the view until they finish the game, and when you inexplicably put a sudden NTR scene/route in the middle of that it leaves a sudden bitter taste, even if it's avoidable.

A good analogy is like, having vanilla ice-cream and then in the middle of me eating it you come up and say "Want some sprinkles on it?" If I didn't like sprinkles, I would feel offended by you offering it in the first place, even if I had a choice in the matter.

I will never understand people on this site. The vast majority are simple leeches, getting free entertainment without a thought of support. No problem, no idea what their financials are, etc. This is a pirate site. But then they attack devs for including stuff they don't like in a game, as if they were at a restaurant and didn't get what they ordered (i.e., paid for). They could just simply stop playing, but they have to make a splash. Too often, though, that splash is very derogatory to the dev in question.

I personally like avoidable NTR, as it makes it appear to be two games in one. I can do all the right moves and get the ladies, or I can see what happens when you make the foolish choices. I have many things I can't stand in games, and ignore them in games that allow you to ignore them, or don't play them if they are unavoidable.

So why this post? I am new to this game, and the dev seems open and communicates here. I don't think he/she/it deserves the abuse.

To be clear, I DO NOT LIKE NTR. I was upset he added this even as an optional thing. But I also like to stay realistic here. The dev is the one that has to want to change this. He worked for like weeks and months on this? I just don't think he will trow it away because some people here disliked it. Maybe if enough patreon support drops because of this. We will just have to wait and see what happens.

In any case let's keep ourself civil when giving feedback, I get the frustrations myself.

I think that is the most shitty thing about all this. I get the dev wanting to add in his kinks for sure, but for the people that enjoy the game and don't like NTR, seeing months' worth of dev time go into a path like this is a bummer. :C

To say you don't agree with a dev's decision is fine. To say you won't play anymore is fine. Just don't sling invective at the dev for making a creative decision. And when you don't actually pony up support, yes, your opinion is reduced in importance, because you have no skin in the game. If you gave the dev money, and he turned a 180 on you, then anger is understandable.

Totally agree. The 'keeping things civil' is all I was looking for, but it took literal seconds for the first facepalm to my message. Guess the major-league alpha uber-Chads on this site ROFLMAO won't tolerate any NTR.
