Not really, it's sort of optional, the character doesn't interfere much towards the others. And there's only one male you can romance compared to all the other 6+ girls. But later on you WILL need to do his quests to unlock chapter 2 of the game. I'd say it's still worth trying, because the game is REALLY good compared to most 3dcg VN games. Just enable the gay toggle and text skip his quests if you want, that's what I did.

Inari is also pretty good, and like the other guy said the cheating stuff is entirely optional. I didn't like that part either but the rest of the game makes up for it. ^^

My issue isn't just seeing the scenes, it's it existing in the first place- even if I don't see it or i text skip the dialogue, my character is still gay
Which sucks because the game looks really nice, but that's something that i absolutely do not budge on

I might play Inari, but cheating absolutely wrecks my mental state and I don't know if I can play with a clear mind even if I know that it's optional

You probably don't remember me, but I'm from the Discord server about My Maid Dreams of Electric Sheep. And it seems I have finally found my way to this list of yours! Didn't really want to make an account here, but suppose that's what throwaway emails are for. Anyhow...

First of all, I must say, thank you very much for this list of yours. It is... sadly rather difficult, to find games like these, and your list certainly makes it easier.

Second of all, it seems we have similar tastes. I've played 4 of the games you've hold in high regard, and I must say, I agree with their rankings. I am even surer than before that I can trust your rankings!

And third of all... I think your reason to even compose this list is a very noble one. I do not think you're "snobbish" or a "jerk". From my personal experience (which, I admit, it is not a lot) I think you're a pleasant person to talk with. Though, I must admit that I am probably biased, because helping folks is also the reason I am here.

I sincerely think that you're a good person, and I just wanted to tell you all of this. I'm sorry if I bothered you, and take care.

Ah, that's good to hear! Sorry, I'm not exactly a memorable person, and we haven't talked all that much; I wouldn't blame you for forgetting me.

And I think you should take all the time you need. After all, the thing that is most important here is your enjoyment of the games; you should not compromise on that for anything.

I.. don't remember having sex with her before she asks.
I never looked up a guide for this game, I just kind of went through it and found all of the scenes- which there are a LOT, especially the vacation scenes after the relationship becomes a 'now and forever' type thing. I'm not sure how, but i never had to wait that long to find each scene, it kind of just consecutively happened as I was working and hanging out with Yuu.
It might just be the way I play the game, but it all kind of felt like a natural progression to me- I didn't have sex with Yuu before the relationship became permanent, and only did so after she was completely fine even doing it raw. The vacation scenes (and epilogue, not sure if you found it since it requires every scene) are some of the most wholesome story telling moments I've ever seen in an nsfw game.

What I will say though, is that 1Room does not have very much gameplay, especially compared to other, ACTUAL games on my list. This is because my list and enjoyment are entirely based off of wholesomeness, rather than gameplay.

... Huh. Either I'm a complete dummy or I had a different version of the game. If my experience was anything like yours, I'd surely give it a higher rating! But do trust me when I say I tried everything other than having sex with her.

And, whilst I do have my complaints about the game, I never called your rating invalid. I know it is based on wholesomeness and I think 1Room is one of the most wholesome games I've played. I just decided to give my own opinion on the game, and said opinion is influenced by things other than wholesomeness.

A guide wasn't my go to either. Believe me, I do my best to play my games without them. But when it's been more than 30 days without an event and you've bought all you can at the shop, you feel like you have no choice.

Perhaps I just played the game wrong? I'm starting to think that is the case. If my experience was anything like yours, I think it would have gotten at least an 8 from me, if not more. But I suppose I'm just too much of a dummy to figure out what to do... It's a bit embarrassing, I must admit.

Erm.. from memory you should get a legitimate ending which depends on your actions during the game- if she’s talking to you about a kid you’re probably locked into the best/real ending.. I would check f95 on how to unlock it since it’s been a while since I’ve played

EDIT: Got the ending! It is exactly what I expected, and I'm glad that my doubts have been put to rest. Updated my review too, added a small section for the ending.

Hm. I decided to check out this "ROOM" game of yours, and um... Wow. Are you sure you want to put that on your list? Even in the non-terrible routes, (I ended up getting Akira's ending, by the way) the MC is a creep. Sure, to the girls, he seems like a nice person, but you're forced to be a creep, no matter what. That's literally the premise, and I don't think you can remove any cameras. I don't think the game acknowledges it if you do, either.

Look, I admit he does seem like an OK person, but... I just think that the things he did are unforgivable, no matter what. Still, it's your list, and you may want to put it on it. But I don't think it's a good idea, unless you put so many warnings that they'll think it's a crime scene and not a game.

Now I think I'll check out that other game you put there. Wish me luck!
