Couldn't you just... not look at their other games? I mean, obviously not if you already know they have other games with bad things in them, but I believe this would solve the problem. Ignorance is bliss.
It's a curiosity that I just can't avoid, and it's honestly ruined quite a few things for me. Most devs only really have 1 game, or if they have multiple they're at least in the same genre, so it's usually fine for me.
Doujins however- I almost always check what other things the author makes, and sometimes that's a mistake. I've had to drop so many things due to realizing that the artist makes unwholesome content.

TLDR: I cannot avoid looking at other works by the same creator because my curiosity gets the better of me

I can understand that, I'm actually the same, and it's always such a bummer when I look into their backlog only to discover that the one single thing I enjoyed is pretty much that, and literally everything else in their portfolio is not to my taste at all. I used to get actually quite upset, sometimes viscerally so, but honestly when you think about it, it makes the precious little even more special and meaningful, as if you wandered across a desert of filth and found the one singular oasis of purity, it makes it worthwhile, I'd say.

Lol... this is sorta me with games/doujins. If there's a gallery, I HAVE to complete it (with or without NTR). Curiosity killed this cat... and currently it's in debt for lives, or if it's a doujin I started, even if I don't like it but already read halfway through it, I have to finish it for curiosity sake. (But don't worry folks, I'm not one of those kind of people that complain about the thing they read containing rape, ntr, incest, etc. despite being able to just ignore it.)
I must say... this is the completionist curse...

I personally don't mind TOO much if an author has made an unwholesome manga while also making wholesome ones (though it does make you hesitant to read others if your exposed to the unwholesome ones first) seen several wholesome lolicon authors with... well, lolis and tentacles shall we say. And basically just kept an eye on the tags just in case for those authors.

*Also, I joined the Teaching Feeling Discord. Preferred the slower chats than the rest.

... I suppose I can understand. I used to be just like you, but I have been taught my lesson thanks to horrors no man was supposed to see. I pray that you can afford to be as curious as you are.

I've seen just about everything unwholesome that Doujins have to offer due to getting trolled with the numbers. Not fun sometimes and deeply disturbing. Most threads meanwhile seem to just be finding games but this one thrives on wholesome content so things are pretty peaceful.

Besides my recommendations, have you tried the ? It has nearly every wholesome doujin you could think of. I would share my favorites, but nhentai only shows the first 5 or so.

If anyone's interested in the games I'm talking about (the one's ive played)

Futarigurashi - 1Room esque cohab, very cute artstyle! I haven't finished it- not because it's bad or I haven't had the time, but just because i KNOW it has an ending and I don't want to finish the game just yet. Judging off the tags, I think it's a marriage/family ending.

Terrene - Heavy on the maledom which I'm not completely into, but I like rpgs, isekais, and fantasy worlds, and this ticks all the boxes. Very early into it though I'm not sure how long the game currently is (v0.12)

Crimson Keep - I don't actually know how wholesome this game is since I haven't played it yet, but im in.. that type of mood, so I'll honestly take anything even if it's not strictly romantic in nature. Though, that's mostly just to justify uh..
Eld - Yes I played Eld. No, that game is not wholesome in the STRICTEST sense.. In my defense, I was unusually horny for like, a week straight. Dubious at best... stockholm syndrome at worst. At least they're fine with it by the end of the sessions?
On a different note, Eld is a very, very fun game with a unique artstyle. I loved it, even if I did feel guilty.

I've found a wholesome game that should fit here, It feels pretty Wholesome and Vanilla to me at least.

https://f95zone.to/threads/miko-mik...ng-country-sex-life-final-matcha-soft.261898/
There's been a translation request on it for a while but it was only translated recently.

I will say that the writing convinces me that the 2 MCs are childhood friends that haven't seen each other in a while.
AKA: writing is pretty good to my sensors

Looks cute, I'll check it out eventually.

Also, quick ranking/list of EVERY game that is planned for the update (including the ones i just played) based on enjoyment and planned tier, just so it's easier to tell.
In the meantime, please play these games. Review making has kind of burned me out so the update might be pretty far away, but these games are great.

1. Eternum (God Tier), also my new favorite game.
1.5 Eld. This isn't going on my list, I'm just putting it here to say that it's a wonderful game with beautiful graphics. Just... maybe not for everyone if you aren't really horny... would be (embarassingly) my new favorite game if it wasn't a demo.
2. Fallen Brand New World (...high tier?)*
*I have not finished this game yet, and a requirement for being God Tier is to have SOMETHING that takes it far above normal wholesomeness, which is usually some sort of super happy ending. This game is beautiful, though. Same dev as 1Room.
3. Futarigurashi (God Tier)
4. MAOUISSHO (High Tier?) ^^ same reason
5. Terrene (High Tier) as of now, I'll see where it goes when I get deeper into it.
6. Fall In Labyrinth (Mid Tier)
7. MUFF (Mid Tier), too short to be considered a game
------- Untried/Too early to tell --------
Haremon
Magical Monster Girl Academy
Crimson Keep (as of chapter 3). I don't know if this is going on my list, it really depends on how the story goes. As of now, it doesn't have true romance (just like Eld)

*I had Futarigurashi written as Hutarigurashi since it's called that in the files, but ふたりぐらし as the game's title (and correct translation) says otherwise

I'll answer here to not fully hijack that other topic. :p

I wanted gold to be a sequel SOOOO badly because Himiko's story at the end made me cry so much I just wanted to see her finally get a payoff for being forgotten in the mc harem despite clearly being the main girl...
now I am a little confused. It is years that I saw the very ending, somehow on replay(s) I always stopped before the very end, but I remember it to be sth. along the lines of Chihaya separating himself to wander the world alone for some reason, then time later returning to live with Himiko ?
Either my memory betrays me, or maybe we reached different endings? I vaguely remember reading about slightly different endings, that may or may not be triggered by not/ conquering Babylon and Uruk-Babel ?

I might play gold since the original is my 2nd, arguably most favorite nsfw game I've ever played despite me complaining about the harem so much.
Well, Himiko is there, and she is fun as usual, but no longer main girl. There is a new character Date Masamune who also/mainly? works as Meta-character, keeping things moving forward. I found her to be splendidly written, it achieves so well on cutting short of introduction to game/ characters / world/ story (because players know already), and pushing the hesitant/ reluctant MC to go the next step with girls.

In mechanics, there are changes - some I liked, some not (crafting system: too convoluted, to craft everything you would need 3 or 4 replays , and that almost every item comes with +1 this, but -2 that, unless equipped by "throwing" unit, and even some more complications). For my taste too many optional extra-battle opportunities, which disbalances battle/VN too much towards battles.

But the game still offers a lot good: funny, cute, silly. And it sticks with the character-over-everything policy from the first game (wait until you bring Tutankaman to a battle, lol). and battles are fun, too.

edit: oh, forgot, 1 hint (not spoiler) : see to it that the male gets MVP-of-battle so-and-so often (15 times?). is needed for another character to appear, I only got them soo late they then were useless.

For the meister games, yikes the first game sounds bad. I wish more games with nice gameplay would be wholesome- the names make me think of Eld which I have played (despite it not being generally wholesome)... though it's far more lighthearted
I'll check out Amayui Labyrinth Meister though, grinding isn't a HUGE issue for me... though sometimes if I'm short on time I put the game off for a while
I am fairly certain that Kamidori is "wholesome", too - I just can not guarantee it firsthand.

For all these games, big part of the fun to me is finding things out myself, so I won't say but 2 things that are not obvious and can result in needing to reload a save from much earlier.

Amayui Castle Meister:
1) (midgame) when moving towards "Angel city" (forgot the name), it will turn into battle, and you should be prepared to have LARGE capacity for captured enemies. That battle will be the only time until endgame that you have lots of angels. And to train your nature spirits, you'll need >100 angels. (revisiting that map: 6 or 7 angels only)

2) bosses, minibosses have a guaranteed drop.
The problem is when an enemy gets defeated by not your unit, but sth. else like enemy AoE attack or those "devices" that you can place in defensive battle maps, then the enemy will drop nothing (and no XP), and that includes bosses.

So when you get a first defensive battle against the dragons, make sure that the dragon boss (CRUCIAL drop) gets defeated by one of your units, and not by, say, placed earth-magic-device.
I had to replay most of that chapter for that.
(I read walkthrough after I am done with a chapter)

I did get this ending, but i wanted MORE because I don't even remember if they hugged at the end! Himiko was left suffering for so long after the MC disappears from everyone's life, and at the end I don't know if they hugged or kissed or anything could I at least give her headpats :sob:

Gold sounds amazing because I love complex games, and I really want to see more of Himiko because she's so precious ;-;
(for the gold tip here, I have a tendency to give the main character the majority of buffs & use them the most often, so i should be fine)
I really want to play the Meister games, I love capture & battle mechanics and again, I also love complexity
I can download all of them pretty quickly and see if they fit my taste- unless I get immediately shown an insane non-con scene or something then it won't be too bad for me

also, thanks for the tips : D

Downloaded every game besides Himegari, these remind me so much of Eiyuu Senki...

Also, purely going off tags and 1754854429879.png
I feel like it's going to be quite wholesome.

Okay so I've just went over every post here and I have few things to say.

1. This list is absolutely awesome. I absolutely love vanilla games, there's just something special seeing the story unfold and not have to deal with stuff like NTR, Rape etc. Also most of the games here have real romance not just "Damn u beat me in a fight, let's fuck" or similar mentality when it come to sex. Which is very refreshing. So thank you for the list.

2. I have not seen this recommend yet https://f95zone.to/threads/katawa-shoujo-final-four-leaf-studios.4276/ (maybe I am just blind tho) but for me this is one of the best VNs out there. Even if it can get pretty dark at time (and you have to be at least a bit smart to avoid the bad endings) all the routes hit deep in the feelings, so the good endings then feel absolutely lovely. Definitely worth a try.

3. The only thing I am bit sad about this list is that there is some amount of unavoidable harem games (or maybe not exactly harem, but you are forced to sleep with other girls) for example Aurelia and Eiyu Senki, both stunning games but held back by this sadly. And as you said before the NTR and Rape stuff are hard no go, I would have to add harem to it, since it's like cool I can sleep with many girls (mostly) without any consequences. But then what was the point of having any romance with them even if their place in the harem is somehow justified and everyone is okay with it, it still just feels weird and not at all enjoyable. (But maybe I am just snowflake)

But otherwise I have to say this is the best list on this platform and again thank you for it.

Thank you for the feedback!
I always aim to have as much real romance as I can get- I'm an absolute romance addict and half my personality is just romanticizing everything and looking for cute fictional relationships to gush over.
I have been recommended Katwa Shoujo multiple times (though maybe not here), but I usually don't like playing VNs that don't have much other gameplay. I do think it's cute though, and maybe I'll try it in the future.

As for the last point, I agree. I don't know about Aurelia since I never played past the first maybe 45 minutes or so, but I do have a bit of harem on my list. Harem isn't held to the same 'ew' status as other tags to me since it doesn't wrong anybody (if they're fine with it), but it nearly ALWAYS knocks on the romance, directly or indrectly. For example, Eiyuu Senki as you said would be ADORABLE if it was just Himiko- imagine if every sex scene/intimate quest was with her instead...
But, Harem is something that I don't think is bad enough to leave an otherwise amazing game off my list. Games like Goddesses' Whim and Eiyuu Senki are weird because of the harem, but they're also really cute and fun. I can't leave them off my list in good conscience, which is why I chose to leave them there.
TLDR: I am not a fan of harem either, but it's not so bad to me that I must not include it.
Forced harem is something that I don't like though- TECHNICALLY Eiyuu Senki isn't, so Goddesses' Whim is the only game I remember that has it- and since the girls are fine with it it's kind of passable.

What I WON'T EVER ADD THOUGH is group sex. Even if the game doesn't think it's NTR, it IS 100% NTR. Threesomes are the bane of humanity. MMF worse than FFM, but both are really bad. (obviously goes for stuff like GBs)
