I don’t understand how games like these have to heart to have BOTH routes in the exact same game, but I can’t stop myself from playing JUST to see the wholesome routes. It’s weird how these tend to be the games with the best romance.

Having the option to become evil makes your good choices seem to matter more, since otherwise you were just forced to be good by the game but here you make the choice to do the good action making it seem more impactful

Btw Butter for the Love is Undead game i would've guessed your biggest issue would be that you are forced to rape her at the beginning more so that the necrophilia?

It is my biggest issue, but just off tags it isn’t there.
Found myself apologizing to the screen a bit over a dozen times.. though it doesn’t affect me as much since it isn’t genuinely forced, more so coercion to do so (off the fact that you saved her)
Though, I do dislike the MC of Love is Undead for that reason, and a few others (like his personality)

The reason I like it so much is that it isn’t a hopeless world- the mc DOES have a cure, and even if the game (to my knowledge, I’m not 100% done) doesn’t fully explore that fact, it does make me like it a lot more.
My biggest dislike in games is 1). A sad ending and 2). A hopeless ending

That is true, and that’s also why I gravitate towards them so much
But, it’s hard to imagine that the same devs who made the good route would have the heart to make an evil route for the same character

I just had to confirm that it was wholesome since I found it on itch first, but I’m definitely going to play it soon- I’m currently:
- Done with MAOUISSHO
- Regularly playing Fall In Labyrinth (it’s actually pretty fun)

An emotional and deep story is different from a sad story, though.
I love deep stories, but I absolutely despise legitimately sad stories.
For example, 1Room, Bottle Biosphere, and most other cohabs have pretty deep stories that aren't all sunshine and rainbows, but it's not sad by any means- everyone is going on the path to healing and finding love.

An actual sad story would be like, the FL is destined to die in a month no matter what, and the story is just making the most of that time before they're gone. I'm trying to see which one you meant by 'sad'

Although it looks like AIcg I'm sure it's not, and if so it's still a pretty decent game. Where this game really shines is the gameplay. You can unlock and travel to different places, and includes some fun minigames, puzzles, Fishing, etc. There are some side characters that have their own story and quests. Not gonna spoil too much since this game is really good (Also drugs tag is not like the bad kind, it's just aphrodisiac )

If you love goddesses whim then you're probably gonna love this game as well. Don't worry, it's not one of those VNs where you can't move or do anything. The animations and art of this game are truly amazing. This game includes unique personalities from each character and some parts which made me laugh.

I'm close to finishing this one to say it's enough for me to put it here. For the most part it's pretty wholesome and even though it has the incest tag it's NOT incest ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. They were both in an orphanage and they developed a sister and brother like relationship. The artstyle and character interactions are pretty cute because the sister is overprotective of her brother, the childhood friend is jealous of the sister, The Succubus is just dumb and horny, ??? girl is the smart and nonchalant one. Besides that the story is really well done. Also it's more story based, not that much h scenes I think but still pretty good.

MDRGF and Electric Sheep are the pinnacle of best headpat simulator. I absolutely love those 2 that i constantly replay them almost every month.
I had tried Goddesses' Whim many months ago and sadly deleted it cause of the huge amount of reading at the very start (for me it took like 15 minutes) but man was i wrong about the game cause i recently started it again and i absolutely love it. Ryoko best girl

For Inari that is a side character and it is optional, just don't do her quest and as I recall the game give you a warning before you even meet her. As for Dimension 69, sex scenes with male love interests can be toggled on and off at will.

I did, it was quite good, but kinda boring later on since you are trapped in a nowhere, still that is my opinion. You could say it's wholesome, but not entirely vanilla/romantic because the Asian succubus will hunt your dick like crazy, but that's kind of soft and not a reason to turn it down, still there are more girls and you may like the elf. 4/5 from me because I had a good jerk off and a nice Dark Souls reference in one of the story scenes.

Is it story based? I don't really get 'sandbox' games or what that entails- also is there an option (like Goddesses' Whim) to not progress certain LI's stories if you don't really want to continue the relationship?
