I just wanted to say I think you should reconsider this point. Double Room's NTR is a 100% optional route you pick near the start and is disabled by default. It's also not precisely NTR as the LI in her heart is still loyal to the MC (she's just selling her body for info), although it does provoke an NTR panic attack from the MC. Honestly it's less of an "NTR" route and more of a "misery ending" where both parties wind up extremely unhappy.

But the rest of the game is very good. Lots of affirmation, doting, flirting, and passionate consensual sex. There aren't a lot of headpats as the game focuses on the LI doting on the MC instead, but it's ultimately about both people learning that love means helping each other out. There's kind of a dark reason as to why the heroine keeps the MC imprisoned, but the game handles it in a surprisingly adult way in the true ending that is both sad and hopeful. Definitely a darkly wholesome game that I still remember very fondly, and deserves more love even from people that LOATHE NTR.

I’ll try- I’ve seen some parts of this game before and it looked amazing; but the NTR made it impossible for me to start without context.

The thing is, I’m willing to try a game with a tag like ‘rape’ or something, as it can either be mistagged, not happen to an LI, and it’s almost always avoidable
But NTR is almost never mistagged, has to happen to the FL or at least one of the love interests, and it’s not really something the player/mc is in direct control of (like, you could say you technically have control because it might be a dialogue option or something, but you can’t directly just force it not to happen unlike the other tag)

Also, it just hurts to see way more than other tags.. also it makes playing the game feel really weird when I realize the love interest im seeing could’ve been cheating if I chose a different dialogue option or something

I totally get it. The quality (and brutality) of NTR varies from game to game a lot so I don't look down on anyone that finds it safer to just swear the whole thing off. But there's still a lot of wholesome/loving moments to be found in NTR-inclusive games. For example Alice Soft games are very good at emphasizing the importance of the MC to the LIs, even in NTR routes. I feel like it's like any other odious tag (rape, drugs) where a game can still be heartwarming despite some truly terrible scenes. Just depends on how its executed.

btw if your truly paranoid about the NTR in Double Room, all you have to do is not give the scumbags the LIs phone number to avoid it. That's the specific trigger if you're curious.

I just finished the Inklings vs (what was it? Tentacles? forgot..) game
The art style and love routes are cute- but I really don't like how it forces you into an ending where it assumes you violated/brainwashed everyone if you stay loyal to one girl and don't seduce all of them (even though each of them.. ask you to be loyal to them..? why does that lock you to a bad ending?)
Might add it when I have time since it's a really cute looking game with amazing art- and doesn't go very far into the unwholesome side from what I've seen. Fun parody, basically

I recommend the visual novel "The tower of five hearts", its quite cute and wholesome. Its a bit short and the ending is a bit sudden, but besides that the writing is good and oftentimes quite funny. It is also 100% yuri, which I think is a benefit but I know some people don't like it.

I might add a seperate section for games that are wholesome but have tags that I don't play (eg. Yaoi, Yuri, Incest, Shota, Futa)
I have nothing against them personally (besides incest, but some people don't have siblings) but I prefer to not interact with them

Summer~Life in the Countryside~ Well the description contained within + images gives enough of a picture of what it contains

Cohabitation This game has some...issues. It's not bad but I could not keep playing

Amu-Chan Developer While the description is bad and MTL the in-game text is a lot clearer (from memory)

Feminist F-ist I'm just tossing it in here because it's funny

Introducing An Apprentice Incubus idk just felt like adding it (can't say much about it sorry)

Nemurimouto In-dev game, very short and lacking content

I guess I can throw in the SEQUEL series of games (more so as a game than wholesome), but as I have mentioned before the first game SEQUEL Blight only has a TL here that I can find so go to SEQUELGOD's gitgud if you want all the games + bells and whistles (guides, mods and such)

I'll try to break a few down, but as I have not played the games fully I might mislabel some.

(I'm going to use ? = unsure, * = potential/optional, and *? = uncertain if it's optional and make use of this for future recommendations)

Feminist F-ist Is quite simple as nnt1996 pointed out it contains rape or at least so say the tags I don't remember much of the game other than the fighting dialog gave me a good laugh. I think most if not all scenes are bought with money earned after the fight so it can be avoidable, but then it's just a fighting game where you strip your opponent. (Rape*?)

Introducing An Apprentice Incubus game seems to have some "romance", but I really can't get myself to play these games at the moment so I have little experience with it. (Rape, Reverse Rape? Loli, based off tags Futa/Trans, and Shota? It depends on if you would call the protag a Shota or not) idk why I initially included it other than the slightly fluffy dialog I saw at times.

Nemurimouto Just adding this one again to give a bit more substance. The game feels empty atm (it is v0.06) so some scenes seem to be near obvious rape, but then others are too absurd to be real and make me skeptical. All scenes should be "optional" as they would need user input to initiate (or so I think), but also some aren't as obvious.

Now the SEQUEL games (that I have played) are a mixed bag, but they all share one tag (Reverse Rape) They do have some nice dialog and romance routes/"endings", but they are a powder keg of different fetishes so user/consumer/player be warned.

I hope my breakdown was enough and I'll try to add the more sketchy tags at the end from here on out.

For future reference should I add the tags at the end of my review such as

or is the way I have done it now acceptable? (I'm leaning more toward the new format personally)

Also, I don't know if games found on Itch are fine as Goddesses' Whim (Loli?) or maybe Living in Viellci (Loli and the game is heavily in-dev so art is changing at times) MIGHT work, but most are just Renpy + Koikatsu VNs that I would need to scrape into for "proper" tagging and honestly I have very little drive/motivation for doing that rn.
