VN - Ren'Py - Abandoned - C - Plan [v0.0.3a] [Lovemilfs]

The following review is based off my personal experience with playing this Game/Visual Novel... I try to be as brutally honest and detailed as I can, and these are my own opinions and thoughts, from one or more play throughs... The version this review is based on is Prologue...

I'm kind of on the fence about this prologue... Be forewarned, there may be some SPOILERS in this review...

Character visuals are very good, and what few backdrops there are, they are fairly basic... There are some short animations near the end, that seemed alright...

The script is a mix of broken English, readable English, misused words, as well as spelling/grammar errors... Several times a he was called a her, and a Mrs. was called a he, as well as other stuff... Definitely does not have the best translation/interpretation... As this is a rather short prologue, there really isn't much of a story... But what you get is a male protagonist who lives as a tenant with a woman, her dead beat husband, and another female tenant... The female landlord is the mother of two older children, and yet she doesn't look like she's out of her 20's, maybe early 30's...

At first it is mostly just a lot of inner monologue for both the protagonist and the landlady... Mostly concerning her life being a bit miserable, and the protagonist just being dumped by a girl... Then some kind of magic stuff occurs, that somehow effects the land lady, so when the protagonist decides to look out for her best interest, she suddenly becomes this lust crazy woman, and of course all sorts of sexual stuff begins to ensue... All of which felt a bit rushed...

Near the end, there is some intrigue concerning persons unknown, and some mumbo jumbo about a magic spell and the protagonists family heritage... With one of the mystery ladies standing, all CIA spy like, in the bedroom after the two had all sorts of sex, while they slept it off... Which just made me auto-cringe when I saw that, feeling like this plot setup was bit cheesy...

If I didn't know any better, I could swear this prologue was purely designed as a money trap to pull in donations for the real project... More then a really good story introduction...

Nothing in this prologue clues you in, as to if this will be a Visual Novel, or grinder, or anything... It's a kinetic introduction that hints at a possibility of this being a Magic themed Corruption story and/or game... No choices are presented, so you're left to wonder... There were some moments, with how the words 'tenant' and 'landlady/landlord' were being thrown around quite a lot, that almost makes be ponder if this was originally going to be an Incest story, and it was modified with some word replacements, in order to comply with Patreon rules? Maybe...

Overall, you don't learn a whole lot about the future of this project outside of lust magic, some back to back sex acts, and few other vague hints... Will this be a visual novel with lots of meaningful story, well developed plot and characters, and all the stuff a good visual novel needs to really be successful? Or will this be a cheesy porn fest? I'm kinda leaning towards the later, due to how quickly the sex stuff presents itself and how much of it there is, along with the magical lust conspiracy... But, as it is a rather short prologue, that doesn't really hint at anything too meaningful until the end of it, cliff hanger style, who knows what it will or plans to be... The tags give you a few hints, but it still doesn't say how this ball will roll... For now, all I can say is that it's an average prologue, with some decent visuals... Will I try this VN/Game when it actually begins real development? I dunno, for now it's kind of flawed and only mildly enticing... Only time will tell...

The English is ok - some errors here and there, but most of the time you get the point - more or less ^^

The renders are fine and the "landlady" looks good. I dont like the MC - way to feminine. AND I am not a big fan of magical/mythical corruption. This is just to easy ... you cant explain it? MAGIC! *wuush*

I appreciate that there is a sex scene this early on, but I dont like it when it is the main girl with the MC. Where is the escalation or progress now? We have seen it already. Imho it would have been better to let the MC see how his (ex)GF gets fucked from her lover or something like that. Then you could have checked another fetish and avoid the sex with the main "target" but still have sex this early on. ^^

Sure there is that bla bla in the end that changes the baseline but thats meh. I bet that the girl is his sister - and like most games we have a black haired son, a red haired daughter and a blond mother ....yeah. :/

With some branching this might be a good game. The prologue is quite good and most of my complaints are more a matter of personal taste. But really - change that hardcoded textspeed. Thats a real no no

I really enjoyed the overarching plot and twists in this game, as it encompasses all the classic elements of a good story. Although the standalone routes weren’t by any means remarkable, they were great at building suspense and a sense of urgency to figure out the pieces of the puzzle in order to solve the mystery. The universe of this games grows increasingly more complex and interesting the further you delve into the storyline. This demonstrates solid world-building and good storyline pacing by the writers.

I have a feeling that this will be a good story, I love stories of mystery and supernatural genre. While the writing could use a little bit of proofreading, it is still very easy to read.
Art, renders and models are lovely, and the animated scenes are of good quality, they're smooth.
I also love the music both in the game menu and in the game itself.

And there indeed is a sex scene in there too already, so the prologue, which I find to be of very good quality, doesn't leave you blue-balled either, if that is what one is worried about, haha, so perhaps that will act as little motivation to those who normally wouldn't try 0.1 versions.
I definitely would recommend to give this one a go, I know I'll be keeping my eyes on future updates, this is a very good beginning

I found this game at itch.io actually and request a thread to be made here on f95zone because I believe it deserves some recognition. For first release, I'm hooked.

pro:
-Beautiful renders
-Hot sex scene animation
-I read the developer's notice that he was struggle with the music, but I find it's actually good. Especially the main menu music, I love it! Maybe it's just a matter of preference.

con:
-not much to do from player perspective, as the creator said on his patreon page, this release more of kinetic novel to give a background story of the game.
-It seems like this game contain incest theme, but its patch is nowhere to be found.
