Well, I could see some clothing options if they are restricted to certain areas. For example, in the beach you can already pick between the normal bikini, going topless, and the "bimbo" bikini. The problem comes with free roaming and changing clothes. They aren't huge issues, but it's a lot of work if the clothing choices are extreme (because then you need everybody to react differently) or if you can visit all places (for example, I'd have to go back and add tweaks to all jobs that use different clothes, to now remember what type of clothing you were wearing before you got to work). It's just a lot of work, and it's bound to be error prone, because I didn't plan for it.Maybe she could do it in new areas and just say not in her hometown cause she lives there etc. npc's reacting to clothes really makes the game come alive but I can see why so much work might be put on the backburner for new content, have a modder in your community do it
In theory, I'd love to release the game open without protection, but there is a lot of copyrighted material in tilesets and sprites, so I can't do it legally. I could perhaps try to have a contest to add a scene? That's something I can easily port, if it's self-contained. Modders wouldn't be able to add a clothing system without accessing the main game, though. Maybe I could release a version with the tiles "scrubbed" and let players play around with that.
I hear you. I think the total number isn't even that low (or at least, I have seen plenty of commercial games with less scenes and CGs), but compared to the number of scenes, it's definitely lacking. Of course, I don't think simply holding back on the number of scenes would be an improvement (and I can't easily raise the number of CGs). We are hovering close to the next goal on Patreon, which would mean an extra commission every month, so there is that. One of my absolute favorite games on here - it hits pretty much all of my preferred themes. The only major issue I have with it is the severe lack of CG relative to the amount of content available, which kinda detracts from the overall experience but I guess it's understandable when you don't have a dedicated artist.
Keep up the great work. c:
As an aside, I always ask people for suggestions when it comes to which scenes might desperately need a CG. If you have any in mind, do let me know, so I can add them to the list (I have polls every now and then on which scenes will get a CG).
