I was wondering if I could make a visual novel without getting into any trouble if I use Honey select/ Honey select 2? If so would I need to buy any licenses? or what steps would I have to take? I see that HH and Eternum uses the program. I just really like the way Honey select looks and I want to use the program. Thank you for your help English isn't my native language so sorry if it's not worded correctly.

You can, you just wouldn't be able to put it on steam. Technically Illusion (which doesn't exist anymore) doesn't "allow it" but, to my knowledge, have never once actually cared or done anything about it.
So I should fine and post it on Patreon and other places? Would that be the same for any mods that I use from other people while make my vn? How about using cards from other people would I get in trouble for that too? Thank you for replying!

Mods are fine, I've never seen anyone complain about those. For something like cards, it's probably best to ask the creators permission first. Though, there really isn't anything anyone could do if you just used them, it's just kinda frowned upon.
