Well .. I think in many ways context does matter. I've played a lot of good games that don't make me feel like a total dick. But I'll admit that there are a lot of games that follow these paths as well. In the end. I don't think it's a massive problem.

I usually playing h-game as regular game and try to avoid h-related stuff (unless if it's forced) for the first time, so this isn't really troubling at the beginning.

I think it depends of the what the creator envision the game will be. Some punish you by giving penalty to your stats, some even lock the good ending as well, some do nothing aside from spicing up the CG and some actually benefit from it (like taking less damage from h-related stuff).

Personally, I like corruption stuff but you should have an option somewhere to at least get it back to the original value.

At the same time, it can be hot to have sex with someone you shouldn't in-game (incest is the classical example taboo, but there are more) and having the characters feel bad for doing it, but keep doing it nonetheless because they can't help it. It ties well with corruption mechanisms. But it should be the character feeling bad, not the player. We should think it's hot and want more of it.

I find it annoying when people try to overanalyze what fetishes you watch fictional porn of to make moral judgements about how you're a bad person or whatever. on the other end of the spectrum i don't really play western games that often, but that wasn't what i was talking about, there's a game called let's just say called VH that's extremely banned here for good reason, well i got curious and played it. While playing the game i thought that the rape scenes would be like normal eroges, kinda comedic and both characters enjoying it, and some where like this and others where unnecessarly brutal, with characters bruised, crying ending up pregnant and with sanity debuffs, having the characters wake up crying was the cherry on top of the awful cake. Like damn, what is this? i didnt come here for this i didn't want this, i'm just collecting cgs.

edit: like someone said here, it's hard to enjoy a lot of japanese eroges if you don't have a straight up rape fetish.
