Ren'py novel.
The story starts with the MC as a kid playing in an apartment/house with a similar aged girl, while his mom is working as a house keeper/cleaner. Somewhere in the conversation between the kids, the boy promises to always be there for the girl, yadda-yadda-yadda.
Fast forward to the present and I believe the MC is now a cop and is going undercover into a college. Obviously he meets students, teachers, and faculty who are all hot and things become typical for a adult VN.
The girl from his past somehow got left behind, but you find that she's still around and their paths are moving towards them reuniting.
I remember a scene where the MC runs into his old babysitter (I think) outside of a grocery/convenience store.
The annoying thing is that I never delete the games that I play, but somehow this one just isn't in my library. Hopefully my description is enough to trigger someone's memory.
