Cant use mouse on interface!!

For some reason I cant use my mouse to click in the games interface, I have tried games like Summertime saga and Personal Trainer and I have to use the arrows(and cant use certain buttons with them), so it kinda ruins the experience.
If someone knows whats causing this and how to fix it then plz help.

Does the mouse work in the main menu where you first open the game, are you in fullscreen or windowed?

i have the same problem i am using linux i can click the menu but not screen buttons

When ren'py is open press SHIFT + G and select one of the options (by the order bellow). Once you've chosen one quit the game and open it again. If one doesn't solve it, try the next.

1. OpenGL 2.0 or greater.
2. DirectX 9, provided that all libraries are available.
3. OpenGL 1.x.
4. Software.
