I've played Escape Dungeon and Last Evil. Echoes of Mythria isn't a roguelike in the same vein as those games, but it does have a card battle that's similar to Cross Blitz. You can win battles to unlock more cards. Right now, it's in a development phase where the game automatically ends after a week or two, but the next update should be coming out in April if I remember right, and that's supposed to open it up to a more unlimited mode.

Also, I second the nomination of News Desk. Best card-based corruption game ever, if you can handle how grindy it is. I love how the cards get more corrupted as you go, not just the character.

Newona, Ritual Offering to The Depraved God ~ The Surrender of the Transforming Gender-bent TS Exorcist Girl [v1.21] [I'm moralist]
Good game in terms of gameplay, very interesting deckbuilder.

Should be rated higher, but rating tanked because of too much skill issue on the reviewer's part.

Edit: If you want me to put it more cordially, the game is deceptively difficult (because it is unique) and early fights are rough (especially if you skip the optional and easily missable "tutorial floor").

It doesn't have ascension systems or adjustable difficulty levels, the review situation is the same as the 1.0 Wildfrost release for those that know that game.

I'm so fucking tired of people using "skill issue" as a catch-all excuse to dismiss any criticism anyone has of a game they like. A lot of times, it's just flat wrong. But even if someone does have less skill than you at playing a game, it doesn't mean they shouldn't be able to enjoy it too. Games should be fun for people at a wide range of skill levels, so "skill issue" isn't even a good reason for criticism to be dismissed. All I hear is selfish people whining because they want a game to be tailored to exactly their own skill level and nothing else.
