Ren'Py - Carnal Contract [v0.9 Rework] [Dotty Diaries]

It started out pretty good, pretty decent story all though its already been done before in other games with the phone challenge stuff, but its still alright, MC is a bit brainless since he knows they can take the money away from him so if he had brains he would withdraw the money and hide them so that wouldent happen atleast but like i said he dosent have much of a brain.

Problem for me is when a game has choices and you expect to be able to pick who you want to have sex with but you dont in this one.
Not only that story dosent even follow your choices, like Nicole telling MC all hes peeking was on purpose even in the costume shop, when you NERVER peeked on her...so choices are fake and follows a pure kinetic route no matter the choices you pick and picking worng leads to game-over in some cases.

There is nothing more i hate then when a LI is forced on you as the MC giving you no options to say no, here you meet som old ugly nanny with huge saggy tits, one i would not touch with a 10ft pole and she is forced on you when you go to the nightclub with your sister and her friend, it dosent really make sense since he has plenty of time to complete the challege so hes not forced to fuck some ugly LI but its out of your hands as the player, not only that hes at the nightclub with hes sister and Lara so having random sex with someone he hasent seen for years and years and one he knows nothing about just feels idiotic and out of chararter for MC, and in the real world it would risk never being able to have a relationship with Lara or hes sister if they found out, but ofc game just turned into a pure porngame sadly.

Then story just goes crazy from there when Lara who said she dident want sex in the bathroom of the bar pops in and hears you have sex with the old ugly lady which gets her horney?? and now also wants to have sex in the bathroom?.

What makes it even worse is that it now feels like a pure kinetic story since you no longer deside anything as the player, if you pick the choice not to go to the nightclub MC gets killed and its game-over, so choices are just fakes which is another idiotic part of the game which again makes it kinetic and not choice driven.

MC is also the childish type constantly thinking everyone he sees is oh so hot, even the old ugly nanny with saggy tits, it just gets boring to read hes toughts over and over about girls you as the player hate, i wish devs would stop doing this shit and let people who plays the game make up their own mind.

Game just turned into a pointless fuckfest game with no romance no relationship building, just a boring porn game and nothing else.

As for the girl, i did like a few of them, but when you hate big/huge tits and they are forced on you its just a big turn-off, so even i you like a few it wont help much.

Animations are about average.

Music is nothing special just standard background stuff.

I would just pick the first gameover chocies as my ending since i dident want to go to the nightclub to fuck the old lady, so a very short game and barely worth 2 star, did try to finished it but it only got worse, like choices you already made being ignored due to a kinetic storyline.

I think this game is definitely underrated. It looks fantastic - like the renders are S tier and some of the best i've seen on F95.

I also think the story has a ton of potential. It's kinda episodic in a 'one task, one episode' sorta way and would i like it to run faster - sure... but i'm still very interested in where it ends up and who's behind it all.

Didn't like the premises tbh. The whole game felt like you as a mc doing everything which is forced upon you by an unknown shitter and being a horny jackass doesn't help either, can be skipped if one doesn't like it but then you might as well skip the whole game because that's the main theme.
Girls were mixed bag for me. Nicole i think was worth going through the game but that harassment arc is childishly bad. Rest were not my liking. Has a roommate, Becky i think, obnoxious brat, doing onlyfans and everyone knows about it including mc's friend but mc himself.
Voyeurism here is a significant genre as well so that's buzzkill.
Animations are quite good.

PROS
- Guess the renders are fine. Its not grainy.

CONS
- Your biggest challenge in this game is not pressing the CTRL key to skip all the boring dialogue.
- Plot is your typical 'fuck your family' story with the added bonus of a app making you to do pervy things (copied from another game which I'm not allowed to say due to review rules). Absolutely nothing is unique. You even get those typical 'spy on your sister taking a shower' scenes. Why go for the cliche incest tropes we've seen 100000 times before. Is it that hard to be original?
- Its like the dev made an effort to use the most default ass looking models in the entire Daz store to make this game. All the models are ones you've seen before. Also, the mom looks a 22 year old.
- Very linear game with a illusion of choice. No matter what you pick its gonna result in the same scenario.

Review updated for rework

The intro looks better and I like that the story line changed so the MC wasn't some looser who was in an accident because he was driving drunk, that never sat well with me.

However you have to go through the intro with the name MC, you can't assign a name until after the intro which is weird. Also all aspects of incest are removed which detracts from the story. The original story had issues for certain which could have been fixed without scrapping everything else. I lowered the rating for this reason.

There really isn't as much content as I was expecting.

The graphics look good in this as do most of the models. Becky looks a bit off as her hips and butt to waist ratio are disproportionate. Mom and Nicole look better.

The writing isn't too bad and the premise has potential.

The deal breaker for me however is the Dev made the serious faux pas of illusionary choice. If you are going to throw choices out there then let the player make the choice they want and go with it. When a Dev basically says " Nope, not going to let you choose that after all" it's a big no-no. The club scene at the end mainly goes one way no matter the choice, one choice even sends you back to the choices to force you to pick the other one. Better to just make it a linear story than to do this.

For this reason I can only give it two stars otherwise I would rate it higher.

Review for Ep3 v0.03

While this may seem like a generic Incest story, it has a lot more going on that makes it a project worth getting invested in.


Overall, this is a promising and fairly original Incest game. Visually, there might be some things I would change (in relation to the models), but that is largely a personal preference. But narrative and character-wise, I'm fine with how things are progressing, and don't feel like anything needs to be changed in that aspect. The devs also seem to be dedicated and hard-working. If you want to enjoy a decent Incest game with plenty of action, give this game a try. And if you like what you played, please consider supporting them on the relevant platforms.

Read the edits below for my thoughts on this game after playing the newer updates. It's better than what I thought at first.

This is your average incest game with a decently interesting twist on the set up.

3* isn't bad in my view. Just saying it's nothing that will wow you. If it was truly unimaginative like most of the incest games that start with a college boy returning home, I wouldn't even bother to review it.

The main hook is that the MC gets embroiled in some kind of nefarious sex game that challenges him to do increasingly lewder things. The current game isn't very long, but this plot device manages to drive the story forward at a decent pace. The writing isn't anything exceptional, but it's definitely good enough for a light read.

Possible sticking points about the writing. The MC's personality seems hardcoded. I don't mind this at all, but I know others get annoyed by MCs they can't relate to. He got that faux dominant kid shtick heh. Also, the incest implementation could use some polish.

Now the main complaint about this game is the UI. Many devs have this super baffling and annoying tendency to remove standard renpy features for seemingly no reason. Why did they remove the skip transition, skip unseen, and skip after choice options? Why did they remove the load page from the right click and make you return to the main menu to load? I have no idea, but it's annoying as fuck, especially that loading thing.

Edit:
Well, they restored some of the normal functions of renpy, but not all of it. Still missing some things like auto-forward time and "skip after choices." Also, it still has weird hitboxes on the save/load pages where you keep clicking on the save file when trying to click on the page numbers. But at least you can load without going back to the main menu now.

Edit 2:
The UI is improved significantly now (v0.6 Ep. 6). The options and preferences looks quite nice, and all the normal renpy functionality has been restored.

I'll just leave my original impression up there, but I can confidently say that the dev is improving as the game goes on. The story definitely picks up in later episodes, with interesting branching vignettes. I was wrong to label this as your average and standard incest story. The main plot is never forgotten and does provide a sense of urgency (well, the MC still bangs all the time despite the rising stakes, but porn game, right?).

It's an interesting enough read. I would have liked longer sex scenes, with more sex dialogues, but that's my personal preference. Solid 4* game now.

Great job. Been following this game for some time now, and I like what the dev decided to do in the third episode. Maybe the story isn’t as original, but the writing is good, and the characters are developed. Each of the girls has a different personality, and you have the possibility to shape MC’s behaviour, so you can interact with other characters in different ways.
The choices matter in this game, and I figured that I haven’t even seen some scenes after replaying it. There is a lot of content, and there are also a lot of sex scenes.
What I absolutely loved in this game were the WOMEN, who are gorgeous - especially the MILFs Diane and Cassandra!
The only downside for me (just a personal thing) would be the lack of content if you choose not to complete the challenge. I understand that this might be because of the fact that this is the dev’s first release, and more branching would require more work and, consequently, more time between releases.
Still, the story is interesting, and I am curious to see who is behind the game. Keep up with the good work!

Great visuals, great animations, decent writing, and a lot of potential for future episodes!

I love this game because of the numerous paths that you can follow, which makes this game very branched and long. I replayed it three times from the beginning because I wanted to see where the different decisions would take me, and I can say that what you choose definitely matters. Some scenes may be “locked” because of some other choice you didn’t make before. Still, what got me interested in this game was the female characters, and my God, did I enjoy myself in the third episode!

Lara is, in my opinion, one of the hottest characters ever made, and I like the fact that the dev decided to add more sexual content in episode 3.
The animations are also great, and the absolutely best part of this game are the renders. The second episode got a bit boring at one point, but E3 is the BOMB!

Story got really interesting at the end of episode two.
All girls are sexy and have a distinctive personality so that you want to engage with them.
What I especially like is that this game doesn't force you to interact with distracting side characters too much and that it focuses more on the family members.
Can't wait for more honestly. Keep up the good work Dev.

Okay, so…figured I would put my own review here after reading all of these negative comments.
TLDR: I really enjoyed this game, the renders are high-quality, the models are really sexy and varied, and I like that they are not generic (used in other games; at least I haven’t noticed). The story is good, but I don’t really see how some things will be resolved. After the hotfix happened, I think the game got much better too.
Here are some details. I will be reviewing the game in the three following sections:
1) The content
The story is well-written and peculiar. The MC gets stuck in a weird game where someone is blackmailing him to do some crazy stuff to the members of his own family. Although the dev didn’t specifically mention that they are a family, you can put anything in the blank spaces at the beginning of the game, so essentially, this is an incest game. I wrote that Becky and Nicole were my sisters, and that Diane was my mother, and I am guessing the dev aimed exactly at that. All in all, you get some good lewd scenes, and the dialogue fits, so that made my playing experience immersive.
2) The visuals:
The renders in this game are amazing, I especially liked the one towards the end with the red-head. Great movements and expressions. As for the characters, you can meet various female characters. All the characters, other than MC (a good-looking, fit guy who is in his early 20s, judging by the fact that he is supposed to be in college), are all women. 3) The playability
Depending on your choices, you can end the episode 1 in three ways. I played through all three and I can say that they are interesting. So, basically, this game is decision-driven and the choices you make are impactful.

I hate to be harsh but the only things this game has to offer by know are good renders and good animations.
MC is a creep and we dont have choices to avoid it.
Unavoidable sex scene (deal breaker for me).
Skip function is disabled by default (even the keyboard ones), only after the first playthrough that it will be enabled and only for already seen text, you dont have control over it...the only functions on the Preferences menu are Display, Sound/Music and Text speed. So, if you stumble into a sex scene you dont want to see and cannot avoid (and it will happen) you cant even skip it. In the end devs took your choice and took your power to at least skip it for yourself.
Almost all characters are unlikeable (including MC), the only one who can be spared by know is MC's sister, Nicole.
I wish the dev luck and sucess but this game is not for me.

I saw the animations for this one, looks really good, it's an incest game, that's a plus too, but then I saw that it only had 2 stars, shame I thought to myself, must be a stinker, but then I read the reviews and they are dumping on this game for being tropey, having things the reviewers simply didn't like.

I've seen some real trash games reviewed better simply on the idea that they could get better, games with awful dialogue and the most action is a single peep. Now is Carnal Contract a top tier game, absolutely not, but it's got worthwhile content which is an extreme rarity for a first update and an actual story reason for why the protagonist is such a perv.

At the moment the characters are your basic incest game template, nice sister, mean sister and the mom. There's also the ex girlfriend and the sisters friend who get most of the hands on content this update.

I don't devs creators to reinvent the wheel, I want something I can enjoy. As far as sex games go this is one of the better one's with a potentially interesting premise.

Carnal Contract is a VN by Dotty Diaries (a 2-man team) who have years of experience in the Novel department, and recently starting into Adult VN using DAZ assets under Ren'Py. This is their first game here on F95.

Story's about the MC (option to give him any name) who's trying to get his young life in order after his father's mysterious death. Yeah, it's one of those games

Has 2 sisters (option to change their relationship) Becky is the hot blonde in the 2nd pic, Nicole is the older sister in the last pic), then there's Diane who we barely see in Episode 1 despite being a total MILF.

There's currently 2 side characters. Christina (the other hot blonde) is the MC's ex-gf. In this game she's pretty much a nympho.

Lara (the hot red-head, Becky's BFF) is more of a flirty type of girl even though she has a boyfriend (who we don't see in any shape or form). She has a scene some may find 'cringe inducing' which unfortunately can not be skipped.

One morning the MC gets a random text basically aware of his money issues (drunk driving accident) challenging him to do things around the house. Should he finish it he will get paid for it.

As expected the challenges start off small, then get lewder & lewder where I'm not even surprised anymore.

Going deeper into the game all the incest tropes come pouring in: the creeping, wardrobe malfunctions, shower scenes, etc.

Nothing fresh about this game. At all
Good news is the sex scenes are Fap Worthy so that alone is worth the download, I guess.

From what I've read on Patreon the updates on this game will apparently be often, and their Patreon account is currently pretty active (as of March 2023). Also they're working on this game Full Time. That's a plus, right?

Verdict: If you don't mind typical wincest with Fap Worthy sex scenes then download this, add it to the Watch list, and give it a go. If you're looking for an intriguing story this isn't it.

Pros
-I´m legit curious to know if Nicole or the mom are the blackmailer, if they are, then this is a plot twist that we haven't seen before, a legitimately interesting one
-The models are good enough despite being mostly basic models with different hair, they are attractive enough so that's a plus
-The animations are good, there is not many, cause there is only a few sex scenes, but the ones we have are fluid enough to make the scenes "Hot"
-The justification for the plot is kind of dumb but it makes sense, the family is in debt and they are about to loose the house cause the father didn't paid the mortgage before dying, add to that, the MC crashed a car that he has to pay back, so the plot is dumb, but its at least consistent with its dumbness

Cons
-The MC is a fucking creep, hes not likeable at all
-The characters are mostly terrible, Becky is an only fans "Star" with a shitty attitude, the mom is the most irresponsible mother ever, she doesn't seem to give a shit at all, only Lara and Nicole seems decent enough, specially Nicole, I actually like her
-The game has the potential to go into NTR shit really fast, the blackmailing stuff is sus as fuck
-Lack of options, you HAVE to fuck the ex that cheated on you multiple times, no choice, thankfully you are not forced to be together with her, but I wouldn't be surprised if she comes back and you have to take her, spineless MCs seem to be the norms
-The game as a whole has a feel to it that I can only describe as "Sus"
