Hello everyone,

I hope you’re all having a nice weekend.

This dev log was supposed to come out on Thursday, but unfortunately, I caught a cold that left my head burning for the past few days. I’m starting to feel better now, so I decided it was time to show you the last part of the new content coming to Castle of Vice in Alpha 0.3.

Without further ado, let’s get into it.

Cursed Equipment

Cursed equipment serves two purposes.

The first is to make progression more challenging, as it forcefully occupies one of your equipment slots and cannot be removed until you’re defeated. Additionally, it reduces your Max HP depending on your current lewd attitude.

The second purpose is to reduce grinding of lewd XP by helping you gain it more efficiently. While equipped, cursed equipment can increase your lewd XP gain and allow you to earn new Ero Traits after completing some small objectives.

There are five cursed equipment items in total, one for each of Annelise’s body zones.

Cursed equipment can be obtained randomly after choosing your reward in an exploration path, replacing the selected reward instead.



The probability of obtaining a cursed equipment starts at 3%, but increases by another +3% with each new item you obtain from exploration paths. The chance resets to 3% once you finally trigger the cursed equipment.

Keep in mind that cursed equipment can only be obtained through normal exploration paths. This means you’re safe from them when you choose a hard exploration path.

fuck you mean ai, enemy sprite are also found in other games assuming from assets bundle, the illustrator for the protagonist is linked on the discord server and the track record is nowhere near ai slop

-From what I play I think after grab / fall the dmg They did to fmcshould count toward arousal or pleasure instead of hp then decrease hp when orgasm or something like that(As of right now if you fall H scene start you screw in that run)
-QTE is kind of a bitch there It fine at first then you have to click it right 5 times then you getting hit with another QTE was not enjoyable
-Parry window really hard to click if you not really spam click at the rogue that you already knew would have parry window
-The real time Idea was really really cool but when you have to multitasking every little thing is kinda tedious(Miasma Include)
-Some stat matter more than one another(like speed) and some skill cost really not worth it but it depend on the build around the equipment(Delayed Heal Kinda OP I'm not complaining XD but it make the rest area unnecessary,maybe add upgrade and those preparing stuff at the area for more value) might have to keep that in mind
Overall really intesting game AI aside it keep the art consistancy I give him that.
Not like dev gonna see this lol

I actually enjoy the real-time idea, and the whole point of the multi-tasking is exactly what the dev had in mind I reckon, and it works.
Each little thing is there to not only keep you engaged, but also spread you too thin, do you focus on the miasma and miss the parries or be out of mouse position if grabbed? do you get ready for the parry to get that multi-target ability in? H games have always had an issue being "challenging", usually they just add QTEs so fast nobody could do them without a macro, or it's baby easy and the only way you lose is if you allow yourself to do so. I think this hits an engaging middle ground and wouldn't change a thing about it tbh.

Combat was difficult at first, until you realise the fundamentals. Some skills such as the 1 AP 8 second heal are indeed powerful, or just stacking strength will make you 2-shot most enemies, or knowing which enemies to focus changes the whole thing, and by the time you realise these things the combat becomes easy again even with all the multi-tasking.

I think the most impressive thing here is that fundamentally, the game plays and is fantastic. All of the negatives are just gripes or balance issues, half of which could be changed simply by changing a number in the code, and are minor issues at best.

Regarding the ero-grab hp and pleasure damage, after a fair bit of corruption you notice arousal and pleasure begin to rise where they didn't before, so the dev clearly has LONG term corruption in mind, like KP. So before I join the "turn hp dmg to ero damage" bandwagon, I think this will be an unneeded change in the end because from what the tutorials and roadmap looks like, once the corruption isn't hard-locked at lvl 2, I imagine it will indeed be much more reduced damage and we will see arousal/pleasure impacted more instead, as the dev seems to be planning.

Overall, one of the best demo showings on this site
