It already starts out big time annoying trying to get out of the lab. The game really needs a better flow,

It seems that the game is looking for the player to never make a mistake, because I find the MC on the lower floor, able to open only one door, and none of the doors lead to anything useful. I am guessing that I FUBAR'd myself by choosing to go down rather than up in the elevator, but can't be arse'd to restart.

Decisions are only interesting when there is a reason to make a given choice. I'm not seeing that here.

As far as I know, there are no softlocks. You should be able to do get through
