It certainly diminished mine, and I think it's the same for a fair few people. I'm sincerely hoping he changes this idea before the launch though.
I don't think they'll change penetration from being game over only but considering the most recent post mentioned he saw people saying that there needed to be a way to take underwear off outside of train stop events which he added in maybe he'll prove me wrong and change it as well.
Yeah. Dev seems to be reading the comments. I just hope the dev don't apply all the comments, as some of them are not a good idea. I really wonder how this dev would implement penetration during combat. The previous game did have it.
They could do it pretty easily using the restrain mechanic that's already in the game. She gets restrained and penetrated, then has to break the restraint before the molester is done. Could be a good way to add pregnancy risks and other stuff too.

I wonder how "mod-friendly" this game will be upon release.
People seem to have an "easy" time playing around with the code to do different things but --admittedly-- tweaking what's already present is wholly different adding "new" things, I'm looking at Karyn Prison that saw some good mod activity but I've no idea (not a mod maker myself) how wildly different this would be to KP in terms of adding mods/new material outside of the dev's own official releases.

Unlikely. After the first release the author has added some already noteworthy barriers for modders. At least that is what I read here before.
That "barrier" is only for save file, as it got encrypted. Modding would probably stay the same with any Unity modding.
