Man of the House is so overrated. The game is nothing but mechanics and 2 dimensional characters. It's got a lot of potential, and passable art, but nothing really substantial, and so much of it relies on really weak premises and tropes like "Hypnotized by the cock" and "Teach me big brother." Even the older sister, who to me has the most potential, and that's saying something as an imouto fan, falls short because the blackmail premise is so flimsy. A few small changes to the game, some clever writing all while keeping true to the initial premise, and a lot less repetition would go a long way toward making it a much better experience in my book.
That said, mechanically, and even narratively, it's a fuckton better than Absolute Power.
I agree. If I had to describe MOTH with one word it would be.... bland. The premise is there, the art is there, but the grind (I always play it with cheats these days cause I can't be bothered) and most characters are boring as well. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy corrupting women into my personal sluts, but I would like to be entertained during that process.
The younger sister is not only a visual clone of "D" from DmD, but she seem (almost) every bit as naive. I also wonder how I can give her and her best friend blowjob lessons, fuck them both, and somehow the friend will still act shy as fuck about seeing me naked in a sauna. How the hell does that make any sense?
The mother is.... alright. She is not exactly badly written, but nothing spectacular either. She is just... there. I just want her cause she looks good.
Veronica is definately the one with the most potential, but I agree that the premise of the blackmail thing is wobbly at best. Now, it helps that she is written as a character who is turned on by being dominated, but having a bit more material to work with would help a lot. Still, she is pretty much the only reason I play the game these days.
As for Absolute power..... well, not much to discuss there. In my eyes the dev thought he could make quick fame and quicker cash, but cancelled the game when reality smacked him across the face. The premise of the game was decent, but the execution was horrible.
