I recall now why I dropped this after just a minute first time playing it. This gameplay is straight up garbage. Enemies are a joke and at worst can only stun you in order to waste time. The locations and overworld feel void of creativity due to use of stock rpgmaker assets, clashing very hard in aesthetics and style. The quest system tells you what to do, but gives no clue how to go about it. I don't know where these locations are or how they look like, leaving me to wander a empty overworld with nothing to do. Guards block the areas with gameplay. The two dungeons in my reach are late game but for some reason located in the starting area. The overworld towns without gaurds are just filler since I can't enter them.

I had to restart and see if I missed something about the first quest, since I was so stumped in what to do to make any progress. Which feels even more shit since cutscenes can't be skipped. I CAN'T FIND THE DAMN PRISON OR GUARD TO TALK TO. Why the hell can I walk where I'm not supposed to go (area void of content or blocked by npc telling me to fuck off), and why do I need to find a location I haven't even seen or been introduced to?

When I read the reviews of this game, I thought i had just been too harsh about the scenes or something. That this was just a game made by somebody that lacks some artistic talent but still went the full mile to create their vision of a good porn rpg. Nope, this is just shoddy craftsmanship made by somebody that has no perspective on how a new player would go about playing this game.

Walking simulator with brutal RPGM combat and excessive random encounters.
On the plus side, you can enable auto combat, skip animations, and fastest combat speed. although there is still a few seconds of unskipable loot drop animation at the end of each combat.

You should probably save edit to give yourself enough XP to reach level 99 so you overlevel the enemies by a lot for this to work out for you. as balance is shoddy. You can choose easy mode at game start which starts you at level 25. but this becomes insufficient very quickly.

That is where QoL features end.
There is no text fast forward.
There is no way to fast forward sex scenes.
There is no fast travel and maps are excessively large. The maps feel pretty empty. mostly just navigate around blockers and get random encounters. occasionally finda chest with a potion in it.

It is a sex romp rather than proper relationship building. Do quest, get pussy as reward.
As fas as I can tell it is a kinetic sandbox. You don't make choices, you just run around to locate quests, run around to reach target, maybe do a bunch of random encounters, and that is that.

Your quests flow is sometimes off, such that you have to pretty much follow the quest log religiously.
On the plus side, there is a quest log in game and it is quite decent compared to other RPGM games... although not perfect.

    English is mediocre.

Liked this one quite a bit.

Overall the story is okey there isn't anything to really praise for now but it's not bad either. The animations and NSFW scenes are mostly great and polished though some clipping occurs from time to time their biggest issue in my opinion is the length. Most scenes are cut up into several segments were about 10-20 seconds are animated then a few text bubbles pops up to a frozen animation before a new animation for 10-20 seconds starts rinse and repeat about 5 or more times and the scene is over.

When it comes to the gameplay the combat is pretty solid but for some reason there is a lot and I really do mean a lot running around that means the game becomes somewhat of a time sink in that simple quests get's dragged out simply because you have to run back and forth, even multiple times sometimes.

To give an example when you enter a certain area a party member will say that she thinks she heard her mom which promps a quest to free her mom. You can then progress the main quest your on to locate and see the mom but the party member won't acknowledge this unless you go back to base talk to her and then go back to spot the mom, then talk to the slaver that you wanna free the mom who refuses until you have gotten her a place to stay, so you then have to go back to base again to buy her commendation, then run back again to the slaver to buy the mom and then again go back to base to conclude the quest. Another example is when you must have unlocked the fast travel system and then go to meet a vamp girl who has a waypoint for fast travel next to her. However you can't activate the waypoint until you talk to vamp girl, then run back to base to have a NSFW scene with another girl then run back to vamp girl again, now you can activate the waypoint, then run back to base to buy vamp girl a shop, then go back to vamp girl again to tell her you bought the shop.

So you kinda get the picture that you have to run back and forth quite a bit and it honestly takes quite some time to unlock the fast traveling, which is a bummer especially since the game has so much running back and forth. I probably spent half my game time or more just running back and forth.

All in all the game has potential though it does suffer from the two gripes I previously mentioned.

Overall, one of the best RPGM games I played on this site.

    1. The RPG mechanics of the game are pretty good. There is very little grinding, and the battles go quickly and do not overstay their welcome. Also, there is a quest tracker, so it is easy to complete quests.

    2. The girls are great. There is a wide variety of species of girls (dragons, scorpions, humans, elves, etc.), and the girl themselves are enjoyable.

    3. Sex scenes and renders are good too. The only negative thing is that you cannot quickly skip past the sex animations.

First I have to say I haven't finished the game. Second I dislike rpgm games, until this one... This one plays well, if all rpgm games were this good I wouldn't shun them so. The plot (thusfar) is good. the game mechanics are excellent. The graphics are KK not my favorite but nowhere near bad. The dev took the time and effort to actually animate this game. Many differing type of creatures to despoil :) . mostly pretty too. this is one of the few rpgm's I might actually finish.

This game is a loveletter for all of you that grew up with Pokémon and JRPGs like FF or Dragon Quest.
The music gives you the feeling you are small again while playing your first Pokémon while the Gameplay and story is a lewd version of the JRPG you grew up but better.
Grinding here makes fun and feel rewarding because when you got your first companion you got a well added support for your protagonist that is right from the beginning strong like a Death Knight in WotLK.
Additionally the developer adds many little cultured puns into it so it makes you feel nostalgic and young at the same time.
If this game would be on the Steam Awards I would nominate it for the Good for the Soul category so do yourself a favour and try it out.

Now I've played my fair share of RPG Maker games and this one is as the rating says is fairly average. The concept itself is quite solid and seems to play out fairly well. My main issue is with the gameplay itself and the story. Starting off the story itself is fairly cliche and clunky in its progression. The only real way to be able to tell where you should go next is to check your quest log as nothing seems to connect in a meaningful manner. There wasn't any real smooth transition between objectives. A glaring issue more so than the story I think is scaling and balance. As it is the player and party feel very very weak, I did a fair amount of grinding to get my characters up to around level 30-ish and I still felt really weak partially due to the fact that I was unable to get any better weapons. Add in an attack that has a chance to inflict almost all RPG Maker debuffs and it makes combat a slog and unfun. My main gripe with Chronicles of the Chaosborn is how empty the world feels. There's very few NPC's that you can just go and talk to for idle dialog. Heroines also suffer from this due to the fact that if they have nothing to say they will oftentimes not even show any sign that the player is even trying to interact. Add in on top of that that a fair amount of the buildings have the signature black entryway I've RPG Maker when there is no door that flat-out cannot be entered. It leaves the entire game feeling hollow and lifeless.

Add in a variety of spelling mistakes and the occasional object that you should not be able to walk through that you can and you have Chaosborn. However, the game itself still is very much something they could be good maybe even great. What it needs more than anything else is a lot more polish and filling out. Whether that be fleshing out of the world a bit more with some NPCs walking around that you can interact with or a little more attention to how the story flows. This is far from a bad game, but it does need work on its existing content.

This is by no means a completely comprehensive review to be taken as a full breakdown of the game, merely thoughts I felt should be shared on the game and its flaws as of 0.10.

It was good, needs to work out why I one quest short of queen's trust.
    Treant parts are missing.
Spell check is issue, Major's Wife some of words need to checked.
Some decor items need to placed so you find things.
Music and character is well fitted for story.
Need to update the game so you access some areas.
