Searched this game up to see if anything ever happened to it since I first played it and came across the forum page for it here. Saw some people were disappointed they couldn't find it so here's the last update to the game (as far as I'm aware - ver 1.22 matching the OP though idk what 1.22b really changes specifically compared to 1.22 beyond a few numbers) hosted both on
I'm also pretty sad it got abandoned, considering all of the other projects mittsies worked on were top tier and this one especially seemed to have a lot of potential for development both in terms of porn content (a few of the sex scenes were directly suggested by patrons and there were countless other characters from the show that never got proper representation, not to mention all of the possible character matchups, random encounters, things your actual mayor charactor could do, etc.) and in terms of game content (new advisers, encounters, buildings, environments, challenges, and so on). A city builder/quasi-idle game really lends itself to the genre since pretty much everything is done through on-screen mouse commands.
Curiously, I'm surprised nobody has attempted to reverse-engineer the game to be modded or include additional content beyond the base game content mittsies already made. I'm not familiar with flash but there have been other games that have had just that done done to them (notably the Legend of Krystal games) and this one especially always seemed ripe for the addition of fan-made advisers, sex scenes, and gameplay features like buildings, events, and powers/mechanics that would help flesh out the game both in terms of depth and also porn content. Back when this came out my initial hope was that it would snowball into some sort of MLP-themed 4X game like Civilization, or at least something with a little more depth than the (ultimately) final product. Or, less hopefully, something that would be modded to have a number of other civilations you could play as like the Zecora, Changelings, Dragons, Diamond Dogs or whatever someone might come up with. The game is definitely still fun, and enjoyable if you haven't already exhausted all of its random encounters and sex scenes, but ultimately does feel like it was abandoned before really being finished enough to feel satisfying. I've always loved it and it's fun and enjoyable, but it always leaves me wanting more.
Who knows, maybe some day soon someone will try to make it again.
