Even if you don't intend to implement air combat(could just go with a floating pair of boobs as an oldschool Castlevania medusa head enemy lol) the character shouldn't just by hovering indefinitely in the air as long as you keep attacking, should just be single or double attack in the air and then he drops down. There is absolutely no shame in copying concepts and ideas from the old classic Castlevania games and other sidescrollers of ye olde times and trying out the ones you like and discarding the ones you don't. All in all this game really does have good potential though if you had any doubts.

Hey, new programmer here! As CrisTK97 mentioned, the previous programmer left, so I’m the new one. Over the 1-2 month, I’ve essentially had to rebuild the game from scratch. A lot has changed, especially in terms of gameplay, but we do believe the changes are for the better.

This will be the first proper build made in Godot, so there may be a few bugs. However, we didn’t encounter any during our playthroughs, and if any do appear, we’ll fix them as soon as possible.
Hope you will enjoy it and alot more content to come.

Good luck, hopefully you two don't get stuck in development hell. By the way, a linux build would be appreciated, WINE doesn't like this one.

So few rest areas, such difficult enemies, you parry at the time the enemy touches you and get hit anyway. You actually have to do it before, the flash on the weapon is a lie meant to bait you, so lame.

Please get rid of mouse controls or bind them to another key too, I play on a laptop and the parry is pretty much impossible to do.

We believe the parry is fair and the difficulty is in a good place, but since we’re the developers and have played it multiple times we could be just biased. We’ll be releasing a hotfix very soon that increases the parry window, and potions will restore more health and minor bugfixes.

A key remapping feature is planned for upcoming version. In the hotfix, we’ve added "J" for attack and "K" for parry for now.

The game is pretty much broken for me can't even get past the tutorial
Can you please elaborate?

Parry is hard af on laptop like said above. The Imp ending scene has a typo where "thighs" were missing a letter. Is the first relic a double jump? I hit the switch but the door was always closed when i got there. Maybe its a "dont get hit" or timed? Cant play too well on laptop so i cant test it. Because after i drop into the sewer / underground area, i cant get back up, so maybe im 'supposed' to have a double jump.

Anybody have a save near the new enemy?

Edit: I had the opposite experience of dude above, the light was always early, if you time the block to the light, you always get hit but if you do it as the blow is about to connect, you succeed.

hmm weird bugs got beaten by new woman demon chick try to load and just crashes beat her 2nd time and jump down for hp boost but wellp somehow got stuck on ledge and cant even jump out of it 1763985292393.png

Can you please elaborate?
Sure it's better if I show you. So the game looks like this and I can go left and right but cannot advance past a couple of steps even if I somehow break those rocks

Can you please, tell us from what system do you play, if you had troubles downloading the game and if you tried downloading again?

Its the first time we encountered a bug of this nature.
