Well, as someone with an actual job who doesn't have to sit in his basement, beating off to midget porn, I have zero problem paying for a game I actually like.

Not really its more that the only updates pretty ink has been bringing out for a year now is stickers and postcards that noone asked for or wants since its pretty much always the same. They lost the passion they had for the game and r now just copy pasting the updates and writing 2k for a whole month while milking their patreons dry with content that can barely BE called content. Besides those update texts r public and not locked behind a paywall so anyone could see them.
Then again pretty ink doesnt owe us anything but in return we dont owe her our money and patience either if she doesnt update us on anything exept saying "I wrote 2k words again"
I think most ppl will agree when i say we would like to know how the game is going and MAYBE an approximate release date like saying it will be out sometime in 2027 yk?

actually, speaking as someone who HAS paid for the game; it's not the patreon that people are complaining about lmao

pretty ink would have to be actually UPDATING the game on patreon for people to complain about it. it's literally taken over a year to get up to 100k words, something that even fanfic writers can do in a week

it's sad, because i genuinely liked the game and gave the creator money for it, but it doesn't seem like the creator even cares about the story anymore and has just given up and wants to milk the patreon for whatever money she can in the meantime.

Yeah, I was a member of her Patreon for over a year. I ultimately ended up paying Pretty Ink around $100 before I stopped because it seemed like more updates just weren't going to come. It's annoying the amount of creators I've had to do that with.

That is one case only, from someone committed to her craft while the other to postcards? Heck, I know a developer that finished a whole game within a year (Hanako), people do what they want with their money I'm not judging, but practices like these (long period of development with no show or ETA in-between) should not be endorsed in my opinion.

You don't have to support the game, thats fine. I do however, yes I am one of her paying supporters and no I don't feel scammed so you can stop white knighting when all you really are is impatient.

Having been in the visual novel scene for nearly two decades I can tell you a fem protag vn, with lots of routes and explicit scenes is very, very rare so I am happy to wait.
