I am trying to install Botnet mod to a fresh install of the latest game. I'm getting the dreaded "Error. College Daze.html not found..." Even though I am following the instructions on the Botnet post..

It needs College Daze.whatever not College_Daze. Rename it , it probably was from the hotfix.

Prinplup hasn't updated their mods since v.156 ~January 2022.
Unless someone else decides to pick up the development, the time-travel mod is essentially abandoned at this point.

The varmod is the only one that has been updated since then (by myself).
It *is* compatible with botnet's mod with checkpoints.
This is as close as you get to the functionality of Prinplup's time-travel mod at the moment.

Will you update your part of the mod for the current version?

Those only happen with the dancing lights in the first two days, where aside from cheating there is no way to get enough experience to use them; they are just a way to advance faster in mastering lights.

Since you are playing with cheats, you see that explanation.

My point was to not have it at labeled as a path at all, since you can later absorb instead of using contracts, do the same with those so new or old players using cheats or not don't think there is a path. The text in the path even says it is just there for exp.

I always figured the point was to teach new players that you can fail. You see the option, you think you can perform the option, but the game, giving you no punishment aside from wasting your time, tells you that you aren't ready yet. This gets the player mentally ready for more high-stakes confrontations like the Titus fight.

There's a bunch of cool ideas in there, but the two that happen to mention "family" are basically running the show.

I wouldn't be surprised if most or all of them ended up with some form of "family friends" in the mix anyway, but I think the poll results are gonna be a bit...tilted.

That's an interesting point, but like you said, all of them will feature that kind of content anyway so I'm not sure how much that's affecting people's votes. People can swap around their votes too, so I have a feeling we'll start seeing the options narrow down as we get closer to the end and people whittle down the ones that have the best chance of winning.

More perception than anything, I think. The choices that explicitly mention it people are going to hone in on, despite the fact that it's likely to feature in most/all of them. If I was a betting man I'd count on those eclipsing the others by a fair bit towards the end...

Eh, I'm in for whatever the result though.

So I was messing about yesterday to check this out, not using botnet's checkpoints. I think I was just too focused on Rachel's permanent brown + blue light to notice you don't meet Sally that way; nothing to do with botnet or vanilla.

G28Here Also, near the beginning, in MonicaSlavePepRallyIV you have a choice to set monica_promise to true. The next slide, WilsonReturnPepRally sets monica_promise to false with either choice. (same thing without cheatrelated.) Seems like a (tiny) bug?

Is there a possibility to add Prinplup's time travel mechanic? It was more comprehensive as it allowed you to go through every option when you went back in time and basically choose everything which is different from the checkpoint where you can only do a few things at a time.

CHEATS: Type any of these in place of 'mother's friend' when the game asks who is by the car at the start.

cheat - give max energy, spells, stats, etc.
related - make the player related to the Maywoods
cheatrelated - do both at the same time
energy - give max energy but nothing else
energyrelated - give energy and related
phone - give phone info on day one but nothing else

No, even if you cheat, you can't use the powerful lights on the first weekend. They're there as a way to gain extra experience in that light. If you're using cheat or cheatrelated, once you start school, you can use any light you want.

I had to do the cheats thing it happens alot. besides what Dazed&Confused no VERY early game kind of prevents you from doing any major spells and later on when the story needs to be moved on. Example you can't possess Monica the Last Time you see her before she disappers for a few days. Or when Monica returns you can't use the Pink light on her because she is already going to use it.

Something similar happens with Prinplup's checkpoint mode. When you go to the movies with Monica, if you go back and choose to go alone the second time you will still get the option to escort Monica or follow the mother. But I haven't encountered a library glitch with it.
