RPGM - Completed - Colorlust Oni [v1.02] [Hall of Corruption]

Starts off REALLY good; plot , style, characters and gameplay wise. Unfortunately the horror vibes and unique fun color mechanic stop after the third boss and sad to say that's where the game peaked for me. The rest of the story is a bit of a tailspin into shounen action tropes, over the top sword fighting, annoying screen effects and quick time events. As an Rpgmaker action game the combat has some jank to it that only really starts to get annoying on the last few fights. The first three bosses are fantastic and the game never dips into bad territory at all but the premise set up by the game kinda gets left in the dust by the end. Still highly recommend trying it out for the first third/half of the game alone though!(If you do decide to play through to the end there are a LOT of flashing lights in the final fight that are really uncomfortable to the eyes, there REALLY needs to be an option to turn those down)

unique mechanics, incredible atmosphere, incredible art.

Hello! It's me, Illidan! Today i will review this piece of great work, among a lot of trash which released lately. I was really surprised by the length and quality, considering that this game takes only 800mb of space. Anyway, this hgame will be reviewed by these categories : Translation, story, gameplay and hscenes.

Translation 5/5 - Considering that there is a lot of text, i would put this rating. I did see quite a number of mistakes, while forgetting to post them. But considering amount of text, i think it's okay

Story 4-5/5 - I think this hgame have one of the best stories so far with some comedy moments and etc. Of course there is some questionable moments which not everyone might like, same for me with certain sequence of Gray Oni.... But overall, i would say that it's really worth reading. As for multiple endings. You can choose it at the end, there is only 2 of them and i think that it's more like reminder that dev created Confession Game.

Gameplay 4-5/5 - I would say that gameplay is something which was seen several times in other hgames, but at the same time, it's more polished. It's more polished and more entertaining with some of it's sequences and i would have put 5 with confidence, if not for bugs. There is some of them which either inconvenience you during battles or after them(upon receiving damage right after hitting last hit on enemy before end, you might lose ability to move). Anyway, gameplay becomes increasingly easier, once you get 0.5 sec for health regen and armor breaker which deals 2 dmg and ignores defense(get them at all cost, might even ignore health upgrades after getting 6 hp)

Hscenes 4-5/5 - I would say that there is plenty enough hscenes for hgame this small in terms of space and they might look good for some people. But in my opinion, art is a bit degraded compared to confession game which looks less appealing but still good enough.

Conclusion 4.5-5/5 - I think it's great hgame with a lot of effort put into it. It totally worth your time. So i wish you will enjoy playing it as much as i did

Captivating story, cute artstyle, serviceable gameplay mechanics and a colorful (pun not intended) cast of characters - one of those rare erotic games which feel truly complete. Highly recommended. If you enjoy this game, please consider buying it, this dev really deserves support.

Top Tier Game!

Story wise it's the best h-game I've played so far. The dialogues rarely are redundant so you barely get the urge to just skip through. Suspense, twists, feels, horny. Everything there. It feels a little bit rushed through the end, but overall I would say its a very well written masterpiece.

The lewd is also great, sometimes with simple animations. The sex scene dialogues are not on a level of monster girl quest but not bad either. Music and sound is good. When you are into dominating monster girls, this game provides.

Gameplay, especially the combat, was not to my liking but you don't have to bother with it and can simply just set its difficulty to 0. There are some riddles and some other diverse simple mechanics which are nothing special on their own but will give you a good variety, so you won't get bored through out the gameplay.

The world building is probably the games weakest point. I wish there were simply "more" into it. But it makes it up with a good variety of different locations.

Overall an amazing game with the story as its strongest suit and everything else on quite a high level.

GREAT GAME and honestly in the top 10 of H-games I played this year, can't believe i almost skipped it.
This might be a biased opinion because I REALLY like this devs' art since previous titles, but it has a lot of positives going for it:

It might be one of the few games that I actually enjoyed reading everything, vibes were immaculate and the story is really cool and it creates really good scenarios for the H content to shine. It kinda reminds me like and old school horror RPGMaker game like Ib, The Witch's house and Mad Father, but with high quality H-content on top of it which i fffucking loved.

There's not a lot of exploration, but the fights against each Oni are unique, no turn-based bullshit. Its more of a action based fight with each Oni having their differente mechanics, making the game actually fun to play.

And on top of a great game with really good art, fetishes, scenarios, story, and gameplay, you also have a good player experience. For example, you need to die in order to get a H-scene, but you can retry right after watching it without losing any progress, and even if you miss any scene because you don't want to lose or if you miss any interaction with a girl, the game unlocks everything to that point after each "chapter". Also lowering the difficulty of the fights if you find them difficult (which why would you want to skip the fights THEY ARE ACTUALLY FUN) thats an option as well. I love when they do shit like this, it feels like the devs actually value your time.

When I downloaded this I wasn't expecting much, maybe a game that would be good for an evening wank. Instead I got one of the best RPGM games on F95Z.

I do have some nitpicks. I would have liked more scenes with monster looking onis. A lot of scenes are with normal looking women and I would have liked some more hot oni action. My other nitpick is the villa/mansion section. There would be no way I would have known to check the side of the piano, or check the clock, or what I was supposed to do with torch puzzle without the help of the thread. There were no hints I and spent a lot of time wandering around.

Nitpicks aside, this game is incredible. The art, the story, the scenes, everything is top notch and this is very much worth your time.

My thoughts of this RPG Maker game:

1. Complete but not dense World Building.
2. Polished fight mechanics.
3. Nailed animations (both in and out of battle).
4. Artistically competent CG's.
5. Nicely applied music and effects.
6. Incredibly charismatic characters (primary and secondary).
7. Extremely well used narrative resources.

Personal note:

If you want a game to fap to, you're welcome, but if for any instance you share some attention to what's been said in the plot, you will be trapped, you will be inmersed in the mysterious adventure. A story so well written you will be able to attach the strings yourself without breaking inmersion, you will be saying: "Hey that character couldn't be? IT IS!" all along the development of events. You will feel anger, you will feel sadness, you will feel fear, you will feel happiness, you will feel "as the MC" you're not always doing the right thing but you will never feel something is off in the way the story it's being told to you.

Peak beyond mesure.

Great story, lots of diverse kinks that are not given enough love, like reverse NTR (meaning YOU cheat on the main girl, you never get cucked), TRUE horror/monster sex (despite the "girls with horns" shown in the preview, the first sex scene, which is optional, is a silent hill monster's BJ, freak matched), a light optional financial domination scene, moral corruption... Basically, if you liked games like Succubus Covenant, you'll love this one.

Also great mechanics (especially the horror aspect from the first level), and great dynamic combat.

If I had two small complaints :

- The girl you cheat on Ruri with (I chose her MILF mom ) doesn't impact the ending, and you either have a true love ending or a reverse NTR ending (again, meaning YOU cuck the main girl). Would have loved to have a special ending for every girl, more than just a single line if you talk to them on the last day.

- I felt like the Purple Oni level dropped in quality, compared to the absolute bangers that are the Red and Yellow Oni levels. (Blue is very good, but between these two legendary levels). Also, I wish we had more space for the Grey Oni : that one felt rushed despite the buildup, and duck-taped into the grand finale, but lives in the shadow of the (two !) final bosses.

Surprisingly great!?
I wasn't a huge fan of this creator's other games, but this one is really well done, the gameplay is simple yet varied, the art is gorgeous, and the story is interesting, the characters are literally colorful and each fill a niche so you're sure to find one you like, definitely one of the better eroges to come out recently. Its only fault is that there isn't more of it, a compliment more than anything, wow.

[v1.01] Holy shit what a game. This is how you do porn game with story right. Amazing art, ineresting story + many sex scenes. And the gallery is even unlockable from the start. Towards the end it even becomes funny, i love Aoi. Gem of a game

Story - Excellent. I played through the game in a single sitting even without jacking off because the plot is more interesting than the H scenes.
Length - about 6 hours or so.
Characters - Decent. A variety of characters that give the story and gameplay unique flavors.
Erotic content - It's alright. It's not as erotic as their previous game, and there aren't a lot of kinks. Seduction and light Femdom focused.
Gameplay - Easy but interesting for an RPG maker game.
