In the main menu top right, it says "Episode 8" when using the mod for the newest Episode 9, and episode 9 version of the mod. Is that just a visual bug? Did a fresh install of the game, and it says EPisode 9 in top right corner ingame menu. But when using the mod, it changes to Episode 8.

Yes, Season 2 (Ch 10) is out. You might notice the link to your mod is buried behind the spoiler for Season 1 on the game OP.
The game has been reviewed and upgraded from the author, the mod is still valid?

Ps, season 2 is out
Came to double check that this would be in the same thread and ask a similar second question, mine being "are you going to go through and update the mod to match the changes (the changelog says it's mostly grammatical improvements, but it might mean extra or less lines too).

Can probably petition to have the walkthrough link pulled out and put below the season 1 box.

I think you're in the wrong thread.

This game has been released in Chapters, and the most recent, which is a new season, is Ch. 10. The previous version, which is the complete Season 1, was Ch. 9. And the most recent version on itch.io is Ch. 8.

Yea, I read that page wrong and I realized it pretty fast... but if you look further down the list, you can see that the Season 2 are below that. The one you're looking at is the same size as the file on this site, which is actually named "Season 1-Chapter 9" ... so yea, mostly my bad, but also yea, it's probably different enough than the old Ch. 9 that the mod might cause problems.

The dev just responded to the thread comments about how to move on ... Basic plan is, install a "clean" version of the game and load your last modded save.

Assuming it works, you then can resave that, then play out the rest of the chapter without the mod (hopefully you're really close to the end or you remember your choices) and let it finish so the persistent file needed to start the new game properly is created.

Then, after MM has made the S2 mod, install and start the game (that said, it may be safer to start a "clean" version of S2, start the game so it definitely picks up the info, then save quickly and wait for the mod to continue ...)

i was actually planning to replay, since i have a really bad memory when it comes to games like this. deleted all the previous saves.

Yep just did that, my save was on the screen saying Chapter 9 end and loaded with no problems the modded save, just had to click once and made the persistent save for season 2 hehe. Anyway I downloaded the latest season 1 version so I'll keep it unmodded until Murray gives a look at it, if there is changes the current mod version may give issues. Already run season 2 until the screen that says chapter 10 - Father. Will play it later after finish the game I'm currently playing and probably until then Murray have the season 2 mod ready I guess.

Thanks Elhemeer for the hints here and in the main game thread.

Season 2 - Chapter 10 adds:
Joke's on me, Chapter 10 is even bigger than Chapter 9. It also marks the beginning of Season 2.

Also the first Season (Chapter 1-9) has been grammatically revised and improved. So if you're looking for a reason to replay, or were unsure if you wanted to check it out in the first place, now is the perfect time.
FYI, it looks like there are changes to Season 1 as well.

Yep and changes on a renewed script probably give issues with "old" mod, better safe than sorry.
I git diffed mod file with new Chapter 9 one and it said they have 3984 lines changed. Most of them are just dialog fixes but most importantly if you use current mod version on new Chapter 9 you will loose the ability to correctly transfer stats points to a new Season 2 Chapter 10 game.

If you use a save point at the end of the old chapter 9 with the new chapter 9 without the mod it exports and transfers fine though.

So basically if we want to replay from chapter 1 we have to wait until modder updates it? Or will the current mod version posted in OP work with the Season 1 chapter 1-9 version?

no you can make a new folder without the mod > load last save > skip to the end (you should see export confirmation)

this worked for me took me like 5min to do including downloading the chp. 9 again
