Complete Diffeo Tutorial for Getting Everything into Blender?

Hey everybody. I'm looking for a complete tutorial, or any advice you have, about getting my character into Blender completely. I looked in "tools and tutorials" on this site and didn't see anything. It's also kinda hard to find a good tutorial on Youtube bc of the NSFW thing.

I know my way around Daz pretty well, but I'm at a level where I'm barely able to navigate the viewport with Blender. I don't know shit from shinola.

So we're on Diffeo 1.7. It appears as though things are a different from 1.6. Things look a little different in the tutorials that are 1.6-based, so I'm getting lost with all the tutorials on 1.6.

My current goal is to get my characters into Blender from Daz with the rigging done, the anatomy with ability to open and close and bend whatever, and the ability to manipulate stuff in the most efficient and effective way possible. Basically everything I can do in Daz as far as the characters translated to Blender is what I need to know before it's worth it to invest serious time. Step by step.

Everybody says you have to go full stop into Blender, but I want to start with getting my characters completely there before I learn how to animate the donut and the monkey, ya know? There's no point in making the switch otherwise.

Does anyone have a very specific resource for doing this? (I don't need to fuck with textures or anything else atm.) Daz, NSFW, New Gens (or GP) for women, and Dicktator for dudes into Blender, latest version of Diffeo. All of the standard adult shit I can do in Daz translated to Blender is the goal. Or, if you've got alternatives for anatomy with my Daz creations, I'm game.

Thanks in advance.

1. Get the newest version of Diffeo (4.1.0), it's now follow the Blender versioning instead of its own. Follow this video up to the five minute mark or so:

2. Once you have it installed correctly (there's plenty of videos showing you how to install Diffeo, shouldn't be too hard.). Open up Daz. Load up and make a figure:

So, the idea here is that you want to get everything done in Daz first. As much as you can, at least. So, make up your figure. Hair, clothes, tattoos, etc. Important thing here is to make sure none of your wearables/assets attached to the said figure are turned off. It causes Diffeo to weird out for some reason. If it's not being used on the figure, delete it.

After you're done, save it. CTRL + SHIFT + S > Filename.duf. Then do File > Export HD to Blender > filename.dbz. It's important to make sure you have the same file name for the duf and dbz, iirc.

In the video, at around 1:48, you can skip to about 4:40 as it's mostly waiting for the figure to load into Blender.

Re: Gens

As for Meipe assets, it's similar to the process above. Add everything you plan to use for the figure (in this case, probably naked, I'd assume.) > Add dicktator/GP > Get all of the color settings and such right > Before you do anything else, go into the parameters pane and make sure the SubD setting matches the figure you're using (I usually bring everything to 3.). Now, here's where it change from the above. Save the .duf file first (CTRL + SHIFT + S > filename.duf), but instead of exporting, select your figure > Tools (menu on the top) > Geometry Editor > The shaft may look borked up (has to do with the UVs and such.) > Now, export (File > Export HD to Blender). Then just repeat the exact same process as you would importing a character without gens.

Re: Learning/Lack of NSFW

Realistically, you should probably learn the Blender basics before trying to work with characters/animations as it can be kinda tricky at first. Learn how to make a donut, as it teaches a lot of the basic concepts you'll be using in Blender more than you won't.

However, there are resources. Namely, AnimeNyan on Pornhub: . His Pornhub is actually rather niche. What you want is his . It's a super packed Discord with a lot of information and helpful users. There's also a fairly large GD tutorial set on , which makes joining worth it in and of itself.

Thank you so much for the response!

Yeah, I am planning on learning the Blender basics once I accomplish this task.

What do I do after I select Geometry Editor?

Also, I was wondering about the genital morphs. Do you favorite them and merge the geografts while importing initially, or do you wait and download them custom after importing? And what morphs do I use when opening orifices? I've noticed that when I download the morphs, there's a bunch of them that must be hidden properties in Daz. Whereas it was pretty straight forward with the morph dials to open the genitals and anus, it doesn't do that correctly when I try the same sliders in Blender. Do I need to dial up some morphs that must have been hidden properties to get the same result I get in Daz?

After going into Geometry Editor, you shouldn't do anything but exporting.

As for morphs, import figure > select figure/mesh + dicktator (be mindful of the order you select them in. Should be dicktator first and then figure mesh) > merge geografts > Go to "Morphs" > Import Custom Morphs > Find dicktator morphs > Import them > Go to Daz Runtime in the N Panel (Press N on your keyboard to pull it up) > You should see a "Custom Morph" drop down there with another that says "shapes" with the morphs you imported.
