Are there games where the 'sharing' part is not the main and only focus? Like, the game is mostly vanilla with occasional sharing? or 50/50. Most games with sharing either have this during the 'slow burn' period, but after that it's just cuckchair with the gf going ever more hardcore, or don't have that at all and it is just cuckchair all the game

Took me a while but I just recently finished Dream Bar. I've been keeping track of the game since it was in development a few years back and it didn't disappoint.
The game's premise is :
MC is a former adventurer who retired from the adventuring life to run his own bar. Its not doing so well and he took a loan for the bar so he's been working to pay that off. An event happens which plunges the MC further in debt and leaves him with almost no way out. Luckily he comes across a girl who helps him run his bar and hopefully one day pay off his debt. Unfortunately, he now needs to juggle adventure work and bar managing at the same time now. Throughout the game, the MC acquires more female companions who help him run the bar and take quests, all while building a relationship with them.
That's the general gist of the game. Its a basic bar management game coupled with short but simple RPG sections (they can be a bit difficult sometimes).
Firstly, I recommend the game based on the characters alone. All the heroines were entertaining and get a good amount of characterization. The MC looks pretty basic but he's a pretty enjoyable character. Even the villains were surprisingly a treat to watch sometimes. The actual sex scenes can roughly be characterized as netorase. When trying to build his business, the MC adds 'VIP' services for customers to interact with the girls and later on a full on brothel is attached to the bar. In order to get the heroines to participate in these, the MC has to build their affection and only then can he convince them to sell their bodies. To be honest, the netorase is less for the sake of the kink and more the MC just needing more revenue. At first its pretty basic and even somewhat disappointing with how its implemented but the MC does actively start to become aroused at the thought of his girls sleeping with other men.
The game itself isn't exactly translated but I've seen some machine translations on the site, though their quality is lacking. I wasn't exactly thrilled to play the poor translations, especially since its pretty slow and had a lot of offscreen text, but there weren't really any other options.
Anyway, the game is definitely a recommend from me. If you like Suzuya or Mijiishi games then this one should be somewhere around there. Once again, the relationship status between the MC and the heroines aren't very clear cut. Though you can raise each heroine's affection to max and have sex with them in a pretty loving scene, it doesn't really alter the actual story. The MC's relationships range from close friend to sex friend, both with underlying romantic tones. The game's ending also doesn't really resolve this so do with that info what you will. What I can say is the MC is in a sexual relationship with all the heroines, and he's aroused when allowing them to sell themselves. The NTR dudes try to steal them away from the MC, to varying degrees of success, if any. Anyways, it feels like netorase to me.
This is the dev's first game and they're already planning to make a new one so I'm pretty excited for what they have in store.

I'll answer. That's straight up NTR, brah. It just sounds like the dev tacked on a slight twist at the very end after all that build up and those very prominent NTR scenes you've described as a way to give themselves an out after trying to deliver its shock value and comic relief from them. They're trying to have it both ways. It doesn't really work and how the game tries to swing it around later sounds very flat. Those final "villain scenes" are NTR. Prior to that point it seems all the relationship buildup is for a better business arrangement for the MC as you rightly pointed out so the NTS aspects will be pretty debatable for some players. Seems like an interesting game despite the cliche set up for its premise and setting. Juggling adventuring with managment while also pursuing better relationships with various women that will come to your employ sounds like it could be fun. Hope it isn't too grindy to get them to open up and willingly try those "other" things (regardless of the lead up to final NTR aspects near the end). I'm sure there are lot of players willing to give this game a try and will ultimately enjoy it. Thanks for putting this one on our radar, potatogod, in any event. You always had a knack for thoughtful reviews. Cheers y'all!

This sounds awesome, but it's a damn shame that it's not properly translated. Might have to keep an eye on it until someone decides to at least do a full MTL. Do you know of any other good brothel-style games? Especially with a progression as the girls get more lewd? Secret Care Cafe is the main one I'm aware of and easily my favorite. Dancing Inn is also quite fun (besides how grindy the early game is), but it's far less polished, and the characters aren't nearly as interesting. Any good suggestions besides those two?

Thanks for the thoughts. I get why you think the last scenes sound like NTR. For me, there wasn't really any build up for NTR in the game given the kind of characters the dev was building up. The heroines were pretty strong willed and the dev makes a pretty big distinction between the main villains and the former villains, which is that the latter essentially failed at being a threatening villain and is now a joke character. That and the buildup to the final scenes were pretty short (only three scenes each) so it just felt pretty unconvincing as far as NTR goes, especially with the games light mood. One heroine particularly is already pretty promiscuous so its clear that nothing was going to happen with her.
Regardless, I personally prefer my netorase when it slips into NTR or at the very least, the heroine starts to genuinely become infatuated with the other party. I also prefer it when the player is left in the dark about how far or if the main heroine even fell for the other dude in the first place. So for me, I'd have prefered the game fully commited to the NTR endings for each heroine or at least have multiple endings. So yeah, I'm not exactly the best judge of netorase.
Lastly, the game is pretty simple and not grindy. I'd say that its a bit of a slow start though, especially if you're playing for the netorase scenes. The MC builds a brothel halfway through the game and its only then that the netorase really starts. Before that, its basically just focusing on the story, recruiting more heroines, raising their affections and some training scenes where you basically do some BDSM with the heroines to power them up.
Either way, I hope you give the game a try when/if it gets translated and if not, maybe at least look out for the dev's next work (which is hopefully netorase).
There wasn't really any build up for NTR in the game given the kind of characters the dev was building up... and the buildup to the final [NTR] scenes were pretty short so it just felt pretty unconvincing as far as NTR goes, especially with the games light mood.
Yes, I understood your earlier points and gathered that the overall themes of the game was pointing more towards a brothel-style management type of system for the game. The game as you described it doesn't lend itself much towards NTR when sitting aside those scenes in question as there really isn't any build up towards it. I get that. However, in a vacuum those scenes are NTR as the MC is not made aware of the situation before the various acts take place. (It would be an altogether different matter if the MC was aware and in on it or have set things up to make it seem like it's NTR from the perspective of the other parties, but that's not the case here.) The dev tries to inject the idea that the various heroines the MC built up a relationship with have been stolen away from him while attempting to tap into the negative feelings of helplessness, jealously, and humilation as those scenes play out once the MC finds out. All the generally accepted criteria for NTR have been checked off. The dev even advertises the NTR aspects for the game, and it's described as NTR from within the game itself in those scenes. The fake out that basically yells "Sike!" and that it's not really NTR is also not well-implemented; though, it is a little humourous. This is all kind of pedantic though since overall the game isn't about netorare at all. Just wanted to give you some clarity why those scenes are NTR since you said you weren't sure they were is all. Anyway, as always, thanks for sharing your thoughts! Might give the game a try if it ever gets a proper (non-chickenscratch MTL) translation.
That's fair. It's a personal preference thing. I don't like NTS turning into NTR myself since that's just ultimately NTR in my book. I really dislike it when devs deliberately disguise a project as NTS or something else without clearly stating that it's NTR and that's the goal in the end (or incompetently doesn't understand their own project or the generally accepted terms for NTR and NTS). I appreciate those devs that don't beat around the bush and state clearly what their project is all about. I've been financially burned before supporting projects when it suddenly goes into an unexpected direction instead. A game can have both NTS and NTR if there's at least one dedicated NTS path and it remains NTS throughout regardless of other NTR routes it may have. Ah anyway, that's just some of my thoughts on the matter. Sorry for going a little long on the post. Cheers everyone and have a wonderful day!
No prob man, glad to so we're both so invested in netorase. I also know how much people on this thread hate the unexpected NTR ending in netorase games and even have different opinion on what constitutes as NTR in these games in the first place, that's why I usually try to go in depth on the story beats so they can decide if it aligns with them or not. I also find that games that offer both a netorase ending and NTR ending are usually my favorite since I get to see more sides of the heroine.
Anyways, I hope all your netorase games have netorase endings. Til next time.
Join the protagonist in a new beginning —a second chance at life— where he must overcome a difficult financial situation alongside his harem of slaves.
This is a Netorase story, where the protagonist is willing to share his girls with other men. If you don’t like this kind of content, don’t even bother trying the game — it’s packed with scenes like that.
talking aout Custom Maid 3D2... Tell me if im wrong but isnt that just a Simulation type game? Does it has any story or NTR(NTS) in it? This might sound dump I know but its coming from someone who never played the game

It has NTS content but the NTR content is more fleshed out. The NTS sharing contents which has their own story line is not fully available to all maids but most of them, but I'm pretty sure they all turn into NTR somehow, I'm not sure. Aside from that I guess it's NTS if your maid is an exclusive maid and not a free one but you have options to share them in Yotogi(Nightly sex), some of them have short story lines like report play.
I'd say if you have ssd, 200+ storage then play it. Japanese version with the auto translates(some manual translations being added from ENG version too) is better than Eng version because it has most of the content.
I myself am just waiting for more Nts content or sharing content to be added before playing it again, they're mostly yotogi dlcs and sometimes storyline dlcs being added.
