RPGM - Completed - Confession Game [v1.0.1] [Hall of Corruption]

Confession Game is a very linear visual novel that presents you with the ability to make simple choices that impact the final outcomes of the story. You can either hold out for your crush, or give in and find new ways to love.

Story and Gameplay
The story revolves around you finally rejecting your past crush because you now realize you actually love your senpai, who has grown close to you in the past year after a failed confession to that crush. She then starts a game with her friends to get you to do naughty thing with one of them, and you can either hold off to stay true to your senpai or give in to the wonderfully lewd activities. I won't claim a best girl, but the routes are fun to explore, if you don't mind potentially breaking other's hearts.
The gameplay is just decision making, so going with your gut reveals some interesting outcomes. Using saves to prevent bad outcomes is a tactic I used when I wanted, but some of the fun was just seeing what happens and enjoying learning more about all the girls.
Controls are a little awkward at times because they built what is just a visual novel in RPGM, when it would have been better suited in RenPy or other. Not bad overall though, and the translations were plenty fine in my experience.

The Sexy Stuff
There is a good variety of the types of naughty activities that the different girls try to pull you into, but all the scenes are pretty static images with sound and text describing the action. Body types available don't have too much variety, but are unique enough and actually have some impact on the story for each girl.
Content warnings: some paths and situations involve content that some may feel is cheating, with minor taste of netori. Whether it fully qualifies as that is debatable, but if that kind of content upsets you at all, it might be good to avoid.

Art and Sound
The music and sound effects are standard for this type of game, so nothing large to highlight here. The art is what I would also call standard, where nothing really stands above and beyond. What the art does really good at times though is be teasing and hot as the girls try to seduce you.

My Notable Highlights

• Fun execution of story. Multiple playthroughs meant I had fun on not just the "good" ending.
• Hot teasing art and scandalous seduction content
• Simple; doesn't try to be anything too fancy and delivers well on its premise
• Save-scumming is able to help you get the outcomes you want, even if you fail at certain points

Potential Flaws

• Nothing in the art or sound is particularly amazing, but just good
• Some minor translation issues (or just bad writing)
• Controls sometimes feel clunky and unrefined

My Conclusions
This is an okay game if you want to explore some of these flavors for the first time. The story and gameplay are built so you can get a vanilla ending, but the door is always open for you to just try new ways of "having fun" with some other girls. Maybe getting to know someone else could unlock fun new experiences for you? This game is worth a try, provided you don't mind the potential content warnings.

+ The story is well put together. It has some basis and not just spat up non-sense
+ This has some "gameplay" making the player actually think a bit and prioritize with its limited "health bar" about the decisions he takes because they have risk a reward aspect. Choosing lewd decision getting you closer to losing so you need to balance them and choose what is more important to you.
+ The characters are interesting and at some point show vulnerability which make them very humane

- The translation is not 100% accurate but it is not too bothering
- No actual scenes. The scenes are very static, vanilla and visually boring.

Holy shit, what a great game.
I don't know what to say other than this, normally I don't really like japanese H-games because of 2 reasons:
a. The exaggerated moan sound.
b. Usually they are written so dumb it's making you turned off.

In this game, the writing is excellent. While some girls like Aoi is a little bit unrealistic, all of the other girls are written so exceptionally that you actually become invested on their characters.

Also, usually in any H games, you usually will develop a preference to only liking one girl over dozen other choice in the game. This game surprisingly managed to make me like all the girls.

10/10 game. Maika hottest one, Aoi and Rin tie.

A Very nice game indeed, a quickie but definitely a goodie.

For once it actually felt like I got with the girl that I wanted in the first place.

The art is pretty good and at a level where it was actually attractive. I liked the characters of all the girls, the voice acting was very well done.

Would've liked some more sex scenes at the end of the game instead of it describing what happens next and a fade to black, but the lack of this won't affect my rating of the game as I enjoyed it very much.

I do feel like completing all the routes, excellent game.

This game could bring you a thrill in 4 hrs that many VNs can't deliver in much more time than that.

I expected nothing from its art - I personally don't dig it so much, and my expectation of its art doesn't miss - thus the 4 stars.

But the story - for me, at least - could not be described as less than a gut punch. You start the story by a confession to a friendly girl, and ended up being utterly heartbroken by her harsh, concise yet justified rejection. One will certainly get a trauma right after that, but then the main heroine who was always there for you listening to your stories about your crush helped you to get back on your feet once again. This lasts for one year as she is your senpai and you joined the club where she was in in your second year.

Then you decided to confess your feelings, and filled with determination to be together with your senpai. Yet your ex-crush decided to put her and her other friends to a confession game, to seduce you into confessing again to her or her friends before you confess to your senpai. You will have 4 days before your fated day comes.

I am impressed by how the small details that this VN offers suffice to give you strong feelings during the game and gives you much better entertainment than you will expect from games similar to this. I felt like I am going to bear the main heroine's flag right from the star, and actually panicked when my choices didn't go well for her and MC's relation. Thus another reason why 4 stars - should have used Renpy instead of RPGmaker.

TL;DR: Highly recommended. The issues for this game is just niche preferences. Extremely nice story.

This game slaps, MC is alright, he's reasonably intelligent, but socially and emotionally retarded, not to mention he's a pussy. Every girl was great here, I was on the loops. The epilogue was also incredible. This game is refined perfection, no time wasting, it's straight to the point. And I love it. Masterpiece class. The writing and translation was pretty good, with the exception of some grammar mistakes. But the character writing is pretty gourmet. Hall of Corruption, added to favorites.

It's okay, imagine the different "routes" provide a niche for a wide variety of people but the downside for me is that it meant two of the routes had absolutely nothing of value for me. Also the pure route, which I did do, is a little disappointing because it doesn't have any scenes to it but I guess that's kind of the point, another siren song to lure you away from the cute watamote stand in pure gf.

Was not expecting a yandere to be in this game but that alone gave this a whole star, great scenes with her too

Pretty fun overall, and hot enough to get 4 stars. The characters are anime/manga tropes and generally palatable, the situation they're in is perhaps a little too silly, but the fact it's based on the MC's past doomed declaration of attraction raises the stakes. The relationships between the nerdy MC and his love interest is cute.

The gameplay is very straightforward: succumb to the girls or don't. All of them are pretty hot when trying to seduce the MC. Save scum to pursue both routes.

I didn't really expect much from this, especially as it's MTL, but overall I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to experience being pursued (or toyed with) by three romantically and sexually uninterested women.

Honest, the reverse NTR scenes weren't that good. I think you should avoid this if you're looking exclusively for that. This game, however, has a great story and I got invested in the development between the characters. I was honestly touched by the epilogue.

In short, you'll be reading and you will barely fap to this. You probably should still play this, though.

Based on the review to star ratio, I thought I was getting ready to play a masterpiece. Well, that was wrong to assume.

The game is nice, don't get me wrong, but it's just average at the end of the day. Shiori, who definitely isn't a reference to WataMote, is cute but the lack of romance with her makes me not care for her or her route at all. In agreement with many others, Aoi, the tan, tomboy childhood friend; is the best option story-wise.

The epilogue also confirms my belief that Aoi is best girl while making me care less for Shiori than before. I question any game that desires for you go the "pure" route, yet only develops the "un-pure" routes to a reasonable degree. I appreciate the variance in the girls: a tomboy, sadist, shut-in, and whore; but again, only one of them is appealing enough story-wise to pursue for any reason other than just to unlock her h-scene. Speaking of h-scenes, the art is drawn well but the h-scenes are honestly, for the most part, boring. They all feel like filler scenes while you try to unlock the quintessential scene for each girl, but that quintessential scene never comes.

The hentai mixes well with the gameplay: do lewd things, get more porn; do less lewd, get less porn. It's done well, but it doesn't make up for the game's shortcomings.

If you like the design of one of the four girls, then this game is for you for the sole purpose of seeing her getting railed. Aside from that, I think I'd rather play a different VN (and yes this is a VN, not a RPGM game).

Great game in a rare genre (reverse NTR). Does a great job of making you want to stay loyal to the main girl while still being heavily tempted. Easy to see bad endings and continue on.

Aoi is best girl.

This game is truly good, the length of the story is just right to be able to enjoy the "rival" characters, it doesn't extent itself without any reason and that's a must have that a lot of games should have.
It features various endings, but there are only 4 important ones and as always, there's a True End, the true end is pretty sweet I must say.
True end
This game as a somehow wide cast, it has a tomboy, a sadist and a prostitute. A very wide selection of characters, each one has a interesting personality, they lack backstory but for a game that last 4-6 hours makes sense.
The mechanic of corruption, is simple but fun, you have a bar that goes up to 100%; foe each disloyal action you take, you lost 10%, if you reach 0, then is game over, you get an ending related to how you lose. You can restore this points by talking with your senior.
The art is good but not excellent, I could have been better but is good enough to enjoy.
The best part of this game is that is voiced, not fully but at least the important scenes are. That is truly commendable, the games that are voice are very scarce and being honest, if a game is voiced its more fun to play.


Overall this game is a 9/10, the only reason why I'm not giving a 10/10 is because it could have better corruption scenes with some of the characters and better drawing but besides that, a truly masterpiece.
Best girl

Admittedly I played this game for around 30 minutes, refused to bonk any of the side hoes, and just confessed to the otaku qt3.14.

Then I watched the Epilogue and avoided all of the post-game seduction attempts as well. Only the nerd-gf for me lads.

Which is to say I got two brief scenes in the Epilogue, but I've seen enough; I'm satisfied. 5/5.

It's pretty rare to find an actually good h-game. I do wish some of the endings were more positive but the game has some realistic roots and sticks with that for the endings.

Story 6/10

A year ago you confess to Maika... who flat out rejects you. Since then you've spent time in the library club with your senior who you've grown to love. You finally plan to confess to her at end of the week. However, coincidentally the girl you confessed to get bored and decides to play a confession game where she and 2 of her friends will try to extract a confession out of you. Each day the girls escalate their attempts but if you survive until the end, then you end up confessing to your senior.

As the game progresses, you get to see a bit more and more of each of the three girls. It's quite nice that they're not 1-dimensional and have unique personalities. e.g. Rin likes books and so you've noticed her around the library prior to the confession game.

For each girl's personality, Maika is mean spirited, Rin is hedonistically curious, and Aoi's approach to love never grew past elementary school (she's mean to you and that means she actually likes you). Ironically Shiori, your senior, has the least personality development as she's not the main focus of the game. You just get along well with her.

The epilogue is a nice touch. Two years later, you're in a sexless-ish relationship with Shiori because both of you are shy nerds. You have a chance to cheat on her with each of the 3 girls, 2 of whom you're now good friends with. Make it to the end without cheating and you got a christmas date with Shiori and break your dry spell.

The story isn't super complex because there's no world ending plot. It's a slice-of-life h-game with 3 very forward girls competing for your confession. It's nice.

Gameplay 7/10

The game dev used RPG maker without including any RPG elements. There's no inventory, there's no sprites, there's no maps that you have to walk around.

There game lasts 3 days where you interact with each girl once a day and the final day where the girl you succumbed to the most has an option for an ending alongside Shiori. Each interaction is interactive where you either get away successfully or jizz your pants. Going through all of the options to see what was available was quite fun.

Again, it's not world shaking gameplay, but this game interweaved h and gameplay. The entire game revolved around h and that's what makes it a great h-game experience.

Art 8/10

Everything was custom art. And I also think everything had custom music. There was good effort put into this game and you can see it plain as day.

I love this art style. There's something about the anime-ish art sytle with the thick eyeshadow that really does it for me.

I liked how each scene slowly progressed forward from mild lewdness to full on lewdness. In other words, each scene was very well scripted and executed.

I would have liked a little more variation CGIs. But that would have required the MC to not be a quick shot (a reoccurring theme throughout the game, though not the focus).

Overall 7/10

I rarely rate games higher than 3 stars. Only actually good games get 4 stars or higher. And this game really belongs up there. From start to finish, this game is a polished experience where h interweaves with gameplay.

I didn't rate this game 5 stars because there would have needed to be more. More scenes, more hotness, more situations. Maybe a harem ending (why wasn't there a harem ending?). But this was still a good solid h-game.

Game was really entertaining, not ntr at all, more like you get corrupted by the girls.
I recommend just doing 1 playthrough and download the full save to see the replay.

A light hearted VN where you don't sit double digit hours clicking to get some digital poon. Three delinquents target your sorry ass as part of a dare, and the goal is to stay pure for the queen at the end. Thankfully the author knew 99% of us would fold from these vixens and gave us low will-powered degenerates scenes to make us feel better about folding. I know I did. . lots of times.

It's a short VN, the lewd scenes are minimal and nothing to write home about. The main game is a 3, the Epilogue is a 5 so it averages out to a 4. Not a bad game and I think the dev put a lot of love into making it because it's well curated.

Good, and I have to say the character design in the epilogue is more appealing to me.

Gameplay wise, there is not much to say, it's really just combinations of choices that will eventually lead you to different endings. It's a nice short game.

I hope there will be more contents around all characters, a sequel will be great to have.

Despite being an MTL, it's easily one of the best h-games I ever played.
Pretty much every aspect of this game is either good or excellent.
An absolute must play.

My only regret, is that on my first playthrough, I did not realised that you be better of just focusing on one character and more or less cutting of the rest.

The game is amazing and I really enjoyed the premise. The player is the one who has to resist temptation or be stolen by the female main characters rivals. The main character is not just some weak minded protagonist either. You can really tell he likes the female main character and he stands up for himself which is great to me. Also the game is first person reverse netorare! That is like the cherry on top. Personally I am a sucker for reverse netorare and female domination so I really enjoyed the game.
