Regarding the side characters, did the dev state what would be their purpose? Like, are they gonna get any scenes or just be supporting cast to advance the plot without any involvement

Yeah also the planned first demo was around 2023 as I remember. It was delayed for 1 year. After that he released a demo with almost no content with high price tag. I am happy that he is atleast focusing on the next demo (ploy's route full) but with all these side characters,(they look good) , I don't know whether he will be able to complete the game or abandoned in between.
