So I have a question that I would like to get some input about.

Consensual art VS Non Consensual art What is the difference?

Is Consensual art the depiction of the girls that are being raped or sexually molested happy and enjoying it? Do you just have to put a smile on their face while they perform dirty and perverted deeds to make it Consensual art? Or is it more than that?

Any help in understanding about this is very much appreciated.

thank you all.

Two of my renders used for example.

Or to make them content I should show a sign above them saying. " I Consent to this"

From what I understand, in the literal sense "consensual" art is of scenes that depict people consenting.
However people use it more broadly to describe stuff that looks "rapey" regardless of what the context of a scene is.

Both of the examples you posted look very non-consensual to me since the girls are tied up and all, and you can't change that by slapping a "I consent" speech bubble on it or whatever since it just feels tacked-on/insincere.

I don't think people use the term "consensual art" in a very strict way but ya, I'd say 95% of BDSM scenes would get labelled non-consensual. If it only has some light elements or the person tied up is very clearly into it, then it could go either way.

In what context are you encountering this term?
I've only really encountered it by artists that say something like "I only do consensual adult art" as a way to convey that they don't want to work on a project that has rape or heavy sexual content.

I was wanting to create a Patreon account, but they wrote me a letter saying that my artwork would be too Non consensual for their site. my artwork would be depicting young adult girls in BDSM contraptions getting fucked and sexually molested in many different ways, and that according to their TOS was not allowed. If it is adult in nature for Patreon it has to be very Vanilla.

Probably the best place for your artwork, avoid Patreon if you can.

Cheers

Just my two cents, there is no context with the images you post. they could be both consensual (by law, a contract between parties, these contracts derive their name from the consent of the parties which is required in their formation, as they cannot exist without such consent), or nonconsensual if either party is not involved in forming that contract.

It might be different if this was a series of images and not just a snapshot in time. With no context, Patreon reverts back to accepted norms of behavior without regard to whether that behavior is acceptable or not to the parties involved. When Patreon sees restraints, without context, they draw a conclusion that it is not consensual. It really doesn't matter is the 'victim' is smiling or crying, to Patreon the key determining factor is the restraints.

Good points. I guess the best thing to do when creating these types of renders is to create a story that goes with them to put them into contex.

Sometimes a bit of backstory goes a long ways, but I have a feeling for Patreon it won't matter as the restraints would be their key determining factor.

I personally like some of the images you post but I am not society's arbiter of what is acceptable or not with respect to art.

very complicated topic to frame, there are many people who find pleasure from sexual practices that for others are sick, so who can say if consensual or not .... it depends on the viewer's thinking, if we do the same for the sex scenes normal ... what sane woman would get sodomized by a huge penis? the viewer often sees things different from you who created the scene, so the definition is complicated, I find your works interesting and I find nothing wrong with it , I am not English speaking and probably some parts will not be very understandable ... sorry

Steam goes even further as soon as it's a Clone of someone real you need that consent agreement, for Clones absolute requirement.
Still even if you got that they can smash you off and they will do for Adult Pornstar Clones it already happened "Hollodexxx" case ;)
For Hybrids nobody knows yet what's going to happen, but they could arguee it looks like a realistic Human we want the consent of her/him.

And then we enter the complicated space of "I sue you he/she looks like me i didn't gave you consent" <- and that will be a big rolling thing in the not so distant future.
