Ren'Py Continuous updates

Hi,

I'm working on a game using renpy. I want to release updates to it as I'm developing the game, and I was wondering if it's possible to do something where the game checks if there's a new version available and then informs the player about it. Extra, if it can download it automatically and update to the latest version.

Yes, you can do that, but most gamers will be wary of allowing random Vns to use connection, so you might want to spend the time on something more important

Oh, that's true, I didn't think about that.
Hmm, maybe I will get back to this once the game is more established. Like, it's true I also wouldn't trust a new game if it wanted to use any connections, but maybe if it has been in development, then I might be more trustful towards it.
