I really hope that the BBC Gunnar will show up more in the game
And I hope he won't. So tired of overused giant freaky-dicky raceplay bullshit that's used in half the VNs with NTR/FemProtag games.
This game is beautiful because it shows when a couple is not meant to be together, it turns out that they have completely different ideas about the future, nothing in common, they just shared missions, but nothing, Alan perhaps Nerd as he was, he has become fond of the beautiful blonde who protected him, while for Clara, he was a puppy to defend and who knew she was under his decision, now, in an operation that puts them separated and faced with unexpected decisions, they discover that they are different, the first disagreements, arguments, everything it gets worse, no because Anna and Leon have had a hand in it, that increases the situation, but basically, the couple demonstrates their differences at the first real difficulty as a couple. The couple is destined to separate, and it's the right thing to do.
Aaaand that's the good hook the author got in here. In life of almost every couple there are times when it feels like the relationship's going into wrong direction and stops working. But some couples overcome that and some - don't.
Depending on players' choices, Clara can barely get her hands dirty so far. At first I was thinking like "c'mon, give us choices for her too", but later on, when one "good" choice ended up being really bad one, I started liking it, in a way.
I'd love for this game to have route where they overcome all the shit and end up together and it all ends with unicorns and rainbows.
Also I'd love to have a route which
alyssssssssss has described, but...no generic "succumbing to lust" shit. Route where Clara realizes that yeah - relationship's not working and is looking for someone else - whether it's Harrison, Gunnar,
Leon or someone unknown.
Cheating because of lust - well, alright. Cheating because of emotions/love is way, way hotter. The moment when character realises that she no longer belongs to her former love both physically and mentally is, like, the hottest part in dramas of this kind. Sadly, barely any games have it and almost always go down the magic dick path.
To write 5+ separate routes with decent stuff and not have one route towering over another one(pretty common mistake with some developers - they either push the narrative on their preferred kink or towards stuff which Patrons favor, hence character X route has 25 scenes, but char Y route has 3) is a hard task for any writer.
Occasionally play NTR stuff just for the diversity of an experience, but genuinely intrigued how this goes.
