Ren'Py - Corrupted Kingdoms [v0.22.3d] [ArcGames]

Giving a solid 7/10 based on current content. It would be an 8 but I'm very bitter at the developer for filling me with an insatiable need to find, love, cherish and fill a fairy but they don't exist. Fuck you.

As a disclaimer since the other reviews I glanced at didn't seem to mention it I wanna point out the game's probably dead. It's been almost 10 months since the developer announced the next update would be a combat overhaul (having already overhauled the UI and subsequently having to spend fucking ages fixing the many bugs that created) and it seems unlikely at this point that we'll be seeing any follow up here, and if we ever do it doesn't seem to be on the horizon and will probably require several following updates to revolve around fixing whatever bugs result. If that kind of uncertainty in development bothers you then this might be something to pass on right now.

Anyway, the game's very solid for the most part. My only real criticism (aside from the shite I just mentioned) is that it becomes a bit hard to understand what you're meant to be doing later on. The story in general became a bit unfocused and inconsistent once you get into Act 3, especially when you factor in the side-stuff you've been doing (e.g you train your body with minotaurs and ninjas and the result of that is that you're a great big pussy with the punching power of a five year old girl).

Despite the low version number there's a lot of content. There's quite a wide variety of kinks catered to but mainly the game has a lot of corruption/domination content - some of this is done with mind control. Because of this and the inclusion of various monster girls with different cultures the harem aspect actually feels surprisingly organic and doesn't detract too much from the more romantic storylines.

The quality of the sex scenes and such is about what you'd expect and the story-related mechanics are pretty fun and interesting. Honestly the main draw here is just that the girls are likeable and varied, both in personality and to a lesser extent bodytype. Lots of monster girls too if that's your thing.

I loved the game from the beginning to the middle, the moment the big plot point came (you'd know which one), I just feel like the dev threw a lot of what I liked through the window by making it too ambitious.

It locked a lot of the girls for months, the updates move really slowly, and it's an overall tone change.

I really want to understand that this is supposed to be the big turn around for the main plot, but the game have been in dev loop for so long now. The dev reworked the “combat” a couple of times now and i feel like it hasn't clawed back for a while now.

One of the best games i've played in terms of story. The storyline is easy to progress and there's almost no grinding (money, etc). Animations are decent although it could be improved. Still, an amazing game.

Art seemed good so i decided to check it out, but for some reason the game is very blurry. The h scenes are poorly animated and use low bitrate video. They also seem very boring and uninspired. Gameplay seemed like it was your bog standard vn grindfest.

The current act of the game brings down the gameplay score, but this could potentially go up a point if the confused mess it currently is gets worked out. The first act of the game is extremely enjoyable in every way, though, and there is a lot of content there. The writing and characters are very well done, making this one of very few games where I feel like the characters are people and feel attached to some of them. Most of the porn content is mid, but there are some real gems which help to bring up the score. Overall I would definitely recommend it and look forward to seeing where it goes.

This game truly has a bit of everything for everyone! I cannot recommend it enough. Honestly giving it a try is worth your time, and it's got to be in my top 10 games on here! From the gameplay, to the graphics, to the story, this whole game has a captivating air to it that keeps you spellbound.

Deep, surprising and interesting history, full of different kinks ( of them too ). Highly recommended for everyone, unless you are easy to scare, ‘cause there’s some scary part of the history which I enjoyed a lot but also scared a little bit.

The first act shouldn't be sandbox. Why? Well, players have literally no choices there. Sure, locations can be visited, but you can only follow one quest, every interaction is only for that one quest and everything else is disabled. I get that this is more like a prologue, but still having all the places to visit and at the same time having everything locked out behind progres of one quest was very annoying.

I was let down with sex scenes all the way until act 3. There were definitelly problems with vaginas of models dev used, more precisely they couldn't be properly stretched to acomodate penis, so it resulted with scenes with either visible clipping of male and female genitalia. It was bad enough, that like half of the scenes were shown at angles which doesn't even allow to see the genitalia. So yeah, very dissapointing.

On the plus side however, since act 3 models seem to undertake a significant upgrade and scenes are also much better, so I am satisfied with the result since then. Also additional + for pregnancy and different pregnant sex for every available to impregnate girl. Not many games have this, so I am very pleased with this.

The story is great, I had fun during the entire time. What else can be said, it's entertaining, nicely written and has many great moments.

What however was not that great is the mind control ability. How do I put it... in most cases it wasn't even necessary and it felt like if the story was about just MC seducing girls like an average human. It would have as much sense as if it was written with MC without any powers. Because the power was just a slight nudge for girls to be more upfront about their desires. And using the darker ability 'breaking' is limited to very few game choices about secondary (if not tertiary) characters. So it was kind of a letdown, but the love/seduce theme the game currently has is also rather nice.

And for the last thing, my nemesis - THAT DAMNED SOUND OF LETTERS APPERAING IN THE TEXTBOX! The game has FOUR different volume sliders, yet not a fucking single one of them can mute this abomination.If the dev is reading this, please do something about it. This is my main complain and something that lovered my enjoyment more than anything else.


So.. I did speak more of the things I didn't like than the things l did like, but that still doesn't change the fact that this is good, solid and lenghty game and I enjoyed my time spent with it. Definitelly worth 4 stars.

There's very few games which cause me to sit on the edge of my seat (With my cock out, duh) in anticipation and excitement.
This is one of them.

This is one of those games where you want to go back and replay the entire beggining just for the laughs that come from scenes that seem like were born from the dev having multiple personality disorder they are so spontaneous at times.

I haven't enjoyed many stories as much as I did when I first came across this game, actually forcing me to drag myself out of the shadows I was lurking in at the time and try to help other users who were lost at some story point or another.

I 'almost' dropped a star on my rating for the grind that hits as you start the second chapter, since it almost killed the game for me...but I found it's practically skippable these days and it was really the only con I could find to complain about.

Maybe the wallpaper selection if I wanted to be a stick in the mud, those could have been much better with all the possible choices there were even then and the default is still the best one IMO, but I wasn't dropping a star over that.

There was a cheat menu from the time I started playing and I made myself set for life long ago if it was ever removed using it, so I can't comment on how that grind is...but every time the dev add's something that might kill the game for people, they also add some way to avoid it.

There's not much more I can say without spoiling story than I already did at the start of this review...except it's definitely worth trying if you haven't and playing the story through, especially the start of the game.

I can't remember the last time I laughed so much playing a visual novel.

I originally found this game on itchio and im so glad i did. The game is one of my favorites. The story is interesting and unique in its own way, it doesn't have nearly as many cliches as many other Hentai games have. The characters are emotional and deep. The gameplay, while similar to many other games, has much more to offer and doesn't shy away from experimenting on certain things. There are so many girls to meet (and fuck) and the protagonist isn't a stupid, mindless and oblivious npc like in some other games. 9.2/10 would highly recommend if you haven't played it before, the only WARNING I have is that it can be pretty dark at times. Can't wait for future updates XOXO.

There are a LOT of reviews on this because it has been out for such a long time but I'll give it to you straight.

The scenes in this game are pretty decent, they are not long or lengthy, actually they are far too short but since this game has been in development for forever there are enough of them to get over that fact. The sounds are pretty average or non existent, as well with them being reused constantly along with the music.

The story is almost non existent, since the game barely updates anymore and overtime every update has provided less and less content as time goes on you'll see maybe one or two lewd scenes while areas and "story" scenes take center fold on the same dragged out theme of "take over the evil secret power organization" is shoved in your face the whole game. There's really not much to it, some of the characters get absolutely no screen time as well.

Not a bad game, just not a good one. If you want story you can find it else where. If you want good lengthy scenes you can find it elsewhere.

There are so many scenes that I missed, even though I followed the storyline correctly, and the quests did not seem to provide additional opportunities to unlock the gallery unless I resorted to using cheats. I'm not particularly passionate about the narrative, as I find it somewhat repetitive or overly lengthy, so I focused mainly on the various x scenes. The body proportions of the female characters are diverse and quite appealing, with the enticing intimate scenes and ahegao expressions being the only aspects that drew me back to this game. There are numerous side girls that I somehow couldn't find, no matter how hard I tried. In summary, I still feel that the quest structure is unclear and lacking, often requiring players to invest a considerable amount of time to figure things out on their own.

great game it has a great story and is one of three games im willing to put up with the story. not to mention the animations are great. but i think the best part is the story. it has a good balance of serious, funny, and sexy not many games can pull that off. arc has done a great job and who ever helps him with the writing. i also want to mention the community around this game is so helpful and is full of nice and funny people i used to be on there discord. it was one of the best discord servers i have been on. the mods did a great job the people would help when it was needed. it was generally a great community not to mention arc takes feed back seriously as well as the mods. i know this is supposed to be a review of the game but. i think what made the game for me was the community and the speculation while waiting for the next update to come out. not many games have that let alone a h game . i can not rate this game with out mentioning these things. if i had to give a criticism it would be that the game is kind of grindy in some parts but i don't mind that I've played much grindyer games "cough" warthunder... anyways steph if your out there i offer you some bread

Quick preamble: The English language is not the native language and I started playing this game when it was 0.18.

The review will be a little short but this game is one of the most successful games with the Ren'Py engine.

Although we're still in a demo, the game will easily take you around ten hours to get to Act 3 and I'm being kind about the estimate.

The game is a game with mental control that I would describe as "gentle", in fact, the mind control methods are not hurtful or harsh and are summarized in 4-5 options. However, if the mental control methods are limited, this is largely compensated for by the writing of characters who are interesting as well as a gripping story with a simple plot but... which unfortunately sometimes goes too far. This remains understandable but generally, you have to follow it carefully.

Regarding art, it's something that suits me, we have animation and that's a huge point to point out because it adds a little life. Finally, the secondary content is gigantic and the game contains a fairly impressive number of secrets.

We're only at 0.21 and yet the game is at its best and despite the fact that the developer takes his time and makes relatively minimal updates, the game is sufficiently developed to give you an excellent time. A worthy game to play.

I have been following this game for years and I've loved it all! Even though I'm a stickler for things that don't make sense in terms of world building, I don't care. The characters are fun and interactions with them feel...real. The sex scenes are good, if a bit repetitive, and it includes pregnant sex (my fetish of choice). I've never played the evil route so I can't speak for it.

Game starts out great but eventually turns into a hyper confusing overly complicated war map bs with no clear direction on where to go as its all open world rng stat collection. You are given "leads" which are supposed to help you get the story progressed but they are often to omega vague you'll go several updates from the dev while still making literally 0 progress

Good game, high variety of chars but also gameplay wise, you can earn money, buy houses, shatter some chars, change what the chars call you, high variety in scenes, can change outfits of characters, theres a lot to do, alot of sidequest,

The plot(s) in this shift like sand but there's always something to do and the little stories are nice. This game is massive in terms of activities and never seems to end. Little side characters everywhere, but they sadly don't get much of anything beyond a handfull of story bits if that and some repeatable scenes, and I REALLY wish I could do more with them. Even the "carded characters" seem to be done with rather quickly with no further evolution., and eventually the scenes all feel kinda - "samey"? But the characters are all interesting and likeable for the most part. No really rough content, but the feeling if not being sure weather the people with you are following you because they actually like you or you just implanted the suggestion is sometimes unsure.
It gets very disjointed as the things to unlock some activities tend to overlap with each other, so the things you want to persue end up taking a seat behind a line of other activities and mini mechanics. It feels like 10 unfinished games just grafted onto one and I wish some of them had more depth and reward, but I want everything. Regardless, all the little mini stories are charming, if short. The main plot and the side bits seem woven together pretty well overall and nothing big feels truly disconnected from everything else.
The designs are mostly good and the dialogue is cheesy but decently written (I often find the MC thinking the exact thing I just was wondering) even if there are a but of oddities and nonsensical things everywhere as the plot never takes itself *TOO* seriously for very long.
Overall if you want something to get lost exploring around in, there's no reason not to try it out. I'm glad I tried this myself.
