Static images in 2025 is such a turn off, at least the previous game had 2D "animations"

I'd say there's an element of taste in which is better. I know I personally prefer a static image over a 3D one. And over a lot of the very simplified 2D animations.

If nothing else, I find a super simple 2D animation more distracting than a decent static image.
