Well, that was short-lived. Hadn't even tried it yet, just put it on watch to give it a shot once it had a little more meat there but what few reviews there are made it sound like it had some potential.

Due to fact that the
stats variable referenced in that expression is actually named stat in the related code. 
eg. you've found a misnamed variable reference bug.
And the fact that the Author's custom variation of the Snowman v2.0.2 template file is different to the official release makes it harder to re-build a "fixed" copy of the Story HTML file. So any third-party "fix" would require the direct editing of the Author's released
index.html file itself.

No idea but I can guess. The scope of the project was much larger and more difficult than anticipated. Couple that with being bug-ridden and I can assume the creator finally just gave up.
I wouldn't hold your breath for that, dev's accounts for Patreon and here are both deleted. It's dead. Though I'd love to be wrong on this one.
