Corruption games these days have been a dime a dozen. Most have passable art as their only point. The story is crap at best, the process so out there that even the most gullible and horny won't believe. I start this thread as a means to see other people's opinions on the same. For like minded individuals who like me believe in quality first, and as a guide to Creators foraying into the genre . I am talking about wholesome goodness of corrupting characters, player controlled or NPC fellows. Methods and compulsions and blackmail which is believable. Choices and consequences, alteration in character behavior, the gradual slip and slide and the rapid transformation & addiction. I want to talk about which corruption games we liked and why and for others to be able to do the same.

I really wanted to add more poll options but don't know how o_O

Like direct involvement and trainer like training or covertly corrupting and things like where we like the corruption to take place BARs or Public transport or Public park or Public Toilet or Public Park Toilet :sneaky:

Simple little things like how we like to corrupt mind control, hypnosis the kind of black mail like masturbation or porn photo or maybe some financial pressuring. Or maybe a naive little lamb being slowly but surely lead astray

But i would miss the fine tuning of the polls even more
I really wanted to know if we like female protagonist corrupting others or self and male protagonist corrupting self or others

And the biggest Question NTR vs Netori vs Non NTR

Moving to the recommendation part I recommend

https://f95zone.to/threads/cohabitation-v1-20-sid-valentine.1398/

Cohabitation is a solid beginners Corruption Genre game.
It dosent innovate but it has good corruption potential using the old tried and tested methods of lets practice and blackmail.

I liked its gradual corruption style juxtaposed to its rapid addiction corruption style

Not my body though not technically a corruption game but sure feels like one.
Ever wondered what a corrupted female who lives off of corrupted acts would do, well Not my body delivers just that story.
We play as a thoroughly corrupt female who oddly enough doesnt know it yet and we do more and more corrupt stuff with other people. The unique art style and style of story telling i thoroughly dig.

Something unlimited i recommend as a simple corruption and trainer type game with superheroes.
I still feel it lacks a certain polishing and could seriously use some character development and I feel that the creator should OWN the characters they choose to color they shouldnt just try to copy set superhero behaviours instead rewrite some of the old cliches and draft out some new personalities and traits and clicks for our never before corrupted favorite superheroes

Seeds of chaos has a special place in my collection. It allows us to control the actions of both a male and a female protagonist and to top it off corrupt the self and others in the process. We are both dominated and are dominating, choose how things play out and to what extent.
Its like a salad in a sense with a little bit of everything. Hope future versions will develop and dig deeper into each subtype.

I'm in no way qualified to judge what counts as believable psychological manipulation, certainly less so than the average person. But yeah, there's no shortage of games where I know what I'm reading would never fly IRL, and when it comes to the corruption theme that pretty much ruins all the fun. I'll just go over my favorites in this subgenre and see if I can find something in common between them.

Karryn's Prison - MC has a massive, monstrous libido that she represses as well as being thrust into a situation where it's put to the test every day. The corruption here is in the player's hands, so it's up to create your own corruption arc, if you want one at all. About the only thing that's unavoidable is she discovers her sadistic side.

iNSight of you - A corruption arc focused on orgasm denial and blackmail. The more I think about it, it's very different from standard corruption game tropes - not just in the methods used but in the target character, who is a rather extreme personality. It's more focused on revenge, explicit degradation and domination than most other such games. For me, this is not a game about turning a prudish nerd into a sex fiend, or about breaking social taboos, it's about watching a hateful rich bitch lose everything. The writer plays to that very well.

Witch Trainer - Essentially a game about grooming a naive young adult by impersonating a trusted authority figure. In all honesty, if written straight, this would have been all kinds of creepy. Thankfully, the comedic writing sells it, making it one of the most enjoyable ero-games and a solid corruption arc.

Slutcraft - Well, it was one of my favorites until I realized how much of a role Stukov would play. Until then though, it promised to be a less verbal corruption game, where the alien environment itself would be pushing MC's sexuality, with very believable reactions from the MC. I'm sure newer updates continue on this theme, but the presence of a standard-issue perverted maledom is bound to spoil it for me.

Ruin Me - A unique case of the corruptee explicitly asking to be corrupted, with a focus on BDSM. Arguably the best-written game I've listed, though very different in tone. Hard to tell how believable it is - it's set in something like the 1900s in some kind of alternate timeline with much more permissive views on sex and gender. Oh, and Lovecraftian supernatural entities.

President Yukino: Virgin Female Protagonist is wishy washy about her BF because he is a bit of a simp and she then finds opportunity to cheat everywhere during her time to raise money for school slowly but surely corrupting her until she is doing creampie gangbangs for yen.

Good Girl Gone Bad: You are Ashley. You have choices. Make a choice and you could end up being an Instagram model, a gangster, cuckolding your mom, banging a clone of yeezy/The R0ck... The sky is the limit.

Monster Girl Club Bifrost: You are dude. Dude is pressed into a debt from a bet with a girl who Claims to be a Grim Reaper. You Run a club where you corrupt monster girl slaves Into perfect fuckholes. Then an ending, do you want to have a harem of amazing monster girls? You like elves? A fallen angel? Lamia? Centaur? The choice is yours. Or do you think the girl you have been working for is best girl and you want her?

These three are my favorite “corruption” games. They put you in drivers’ seat and give you choice of how to go about things. They give you purity options. Do you want to finish a virgin? Its there but why tf would you?

pregnancy is a missing option of all three, but oh well...

Witch trainer was one of the first games i played, right after Princess Trainer.

They were fun and comical, with great art from Akabur and a good story line to follow, with some degree of character development and clear signs of corruption and dialog change. Witch trainer in specific allowed me explore the slut route and the love route each with their own unique ending and dialogues. I think I will play it again, to me its a classic.

Hack and stalk series is definitely one to check and you are definitely missing out if you haven't played.

https://f95zone.to/threads/hackn-stalk-v1-0-the-architect.2016/

Hack and stalk 1 was ok, it had good art and an ok story & character development. The corruption phase was heavy and with a karmic cycle doubled an otherwise short game. With a slut and not slut ending it used the standard comical fuck her brains out way couple with slowly charging up to that moment when we finally have our hands on her to give a wholesome experience.

Hack and stalk 2 https://f95zone.to/threads/hackn-stalk-2-0-v1-0-the-architect.6590/
was a whole different game. Vaguely based on the backdrop of Hack and stalk 1. We get to corrupt a family. The art was ok but the detail was mind blowing. Good character reactions, plenty of choices to play out scenes, corrupting them ourselves or setting them up in sticky situations instead. There was a good variety on endings to choose from. A MILF and a DILF and some amount of blackmail with a karmic cycle.

Personally i feel it should not be regarded as a benchmark but instead as a gold standard of doing things right. I know many will disagree with this and while I too has some points to chide, In the vast swath of the field of the Corruption genre this game stands out on its own and shines.

I still remember that pupilary reaction detail to this day.
And in that sense i feel that corruption games should strive to capture the essence of reactions, as it makes the whole process of corrupting worthwhile and meaning full.

The biggest problem i find is separating corruption from NTR.
NTR being a hard limit for many myself included.

Blackmail seems to be pretty much tied in with corruption.

How do you corrupt some one without blackmail?
Or power harassment, or something out of the world like magic and superpowers
or something of this world like drugs
or subliminal suggestion/ brain washing like in DEFENESTRATION

Could Fountain of mana be the answer of such a type where the base drive for the protagonist is an apparent .
Yes there is some black mail and power harassment and use of magic. But i was pleased to finally find a game with a self motivated protagonist not entirely swayed by any specific theme but focusing on breaking out from their shell.

Speaking of the pursuit of MacGuffins Satisfy Him is rather oddly satisfying. It feels more netori than NTR

This slow burn concept at first might seem repetetive but if done right (the number of loops are just glodilocks right) it gives a very satiating feeling as a job well done in corrupting someone. Again female protag self corrupting.

So can it be said that corruption requires motivation, whatever the form may be.

Anyone got any new ideas on how to write a plot line premised on corruption?

On the other hand Overwhored takes a completely different approach. As a dark pink lord once possessing awesome powers you just stick it in and your spoils are corrupted. That's it! One scene! And yet based as a parody of overlord (game not anime) it is satisfying and the dumb sluts are damned amusing.

The Last Sovereign takes a similar but fresh approach. You become a dark pink lord and you followers follow suit and become corrupted. Its like having a passive status effect of causing sex events to occur around you and with you. Even more ironically one of the game NPCs even points it out.

I loved Overwhored, it's the closest thing to a Rance game I'll probably ever enjoy. Instead of raping and enslaving all the heroines, MC mindbreaks and corrupts them. It has a good balance of humor and power-trip themes. TLS is very well-written by smut-game standards, but I found the MC to be far too kind and restrained. The Overmind feels like an unstoppable corruptive force, Simon is like a Neutral Good paladin with the same powers. If he does get corrupted himself later in the story or you at least get the option to play him more like the Overmind, I'll have to check it out again.

Not the case, the story gets even better imo but corruption has barely been a part of the game and only in a somewhat negative sense. No clue why it was recommended here, I mean, its an amazing game and one of if not my favorite game on here but corruption? Nah.

No i understand its not, but the way things passively happen and how everyone opens up to Simon, could be used as an effective part in a corruption focused plot line. (is kindda why i coundnt help mentioning it here :censored: )

Kind of reminds me of My Cute Roommate both "need" to get their pens used
